REPAIR TO ROOF TREATMENT, RETROFITTING AND ASSOCIATED WORK IN ZONE-IV AREA UNDER AGE B/R-II OF GE (I) KANPUR

Dismantling of terracing tiles/brick tiles single layer on roof, laid bedded and pointed in any mortar complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete of any description as in roofs, floors (other than ground floor) and similar suspended works complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for grouting using polymer modified waterproof grout. The detail procedure of inject grouting complete all as specified and directed as under: (i) Drilling of 12mm dia holes upto 40mm depth and provide PVC nozzles/ entry ports over grid@ 1m c/c or less depending upon situation. (ii) Before injecting the grout compressed air to be blown to remove all dist and dirt. (iii) Grouting atpressure of 5kg/sqcm to be don till refusal/ rejection or appearance of grout from adjacent nozzle. (iv) Observe the cracks and make V groove along. (v) Nozzles and V groove shall be filled with polymer based mortar.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 (using 12.5mm graded crushed stone agg) as in padding top surfaces to be finished even & smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

Rendering 10 mm thick in CM 1:3 finished even & smooth using liquid water proofing compound Dr Fixit or equivalent @ 200 Ml/50 Kg of cement over RCC roof padding etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only liquid water proofing compound complete all as specified and directed.

M&L preparation of newly plastered sufaces of roof including cleaning the surfaces by using wire brush / pressure hose and applying high performance polyurethene liquid membrane waterproofing coating cold applied in two coats @ 1.5Kg /Sqm/ 2 coats spray/ brush applied, with an elongation of 300% to 700% and tensile strength of not less than 1.5 N/Sqmm as per ASTM D412 and ASTM D2370, crack bridging abiltity of 3.5mm as per ASTM C1305, shore a hardness of not less than 60 as per ASTM D2240. The item includes applying epoxy primer @ 0.15Kg/Sqm and a geotextile of 40 GSM to be applied over first coat while first coat is still wet, the PU coating is to be continued 150mm up the parapets or walls and 100mm into the rainwater pipes. Note: The contractor shall submit a gurantee of 10 years from the date of completion of work for waterproofing treatment alongwith manufacturer's gurantee. The amount of Rs. 40 ( Forty ) per Sqm and min of Rs. 4000/- for waterproofing treatment shall be withheld from contractor's final bill till the expiry of gurantee period. The contractor at his own option may furnish fix deposit receipt pledged in favour of GE(I) Kanpur against guarantee money. 2. The water proofing shall be carried out by authorised applicator of manufacturer. The name of applicator shall be got approved from GE before commencement of work.

Preparation of concrete/Plastered surfaces by scrubbing down with steel brushes and cleaning with water all loose dirt/dust and applying following roof treatment complete all as specified and directed. (a) Applying bituminous primer coat conforming to IS-3384 @ 0.4 Kg/Sqm cover prepared surface till the surface is properly impregnated and insolvent oil primer shall be allowed to evaporate completely. (b) Applying water proofing treatment by using APP polymembrane mineral finished over roof and including vertical surfaces and providing APP membrane having non woven polyster film reinforcement with 3 mm thick and weight not less than 3.00 kg/sqm and finished on top with mineral/slate finished laid with 100 mm & 150 mm over lap on side & end laps respectively complete all as per manfucturer's instruction. The membrane has to be laid with LPG torch and overlap sealed and finished neat. All joint and changes in direction should be covered with cement mortar 1:3 mixed with SBR latex @ of 200ml/Bag of cement and curved before laying membrane and including applying two coats of bituminous aluminium paint over membrane surface complete all as specificed and directed.

Removing of demolished meterial to a distance of exc 100m and n exc 1000m or under, beyond the lead included in the rates, including loading, unloading complete all as specified and directed

Dismantling of wrought iron or mild steel work of any description not otherwise provided for complete all as specified and directed.
