| 1 | Pumping out muddy water ( up to 25000 litres) from the semi underground (UG) sumps (capacity of sump not more than 1.89 lakhs Gallons) by deploying non clog pumps,including de-silting and removal of accumulated silt, sand, Mud, etc. From Raw/filter water collecting chambers of any size and any location. The work shall be carried out manually or mechanically with all requirement tools, takeles and scaffolding. Disposal of excavated silt/mud shall be done as directed, up to a lead of 10 meters. The scope includes through cleaning of internal surfaces such as walls and floors and complete removal of sludge from the sump, as per specifications and directions of Engr-in-charge.
Note :

| 3 | M&L for cleaning of Semi Underground (UG) sump at raw water pump house having capacity of 15.00 lakh litres (01 No.), to be carried out once in every six months.
The work shall include dewatering from sump by using pump,cleaning by means of coir/wire brush, washing the interior with bleaching powder, and removal of all loose/sedimented materials such as sand, sludge, mud, vegetation, grit, ash, rags, fibres, string, plastic, etc. The removed sludge shall be disposed of at a distance of 50 meters away from the UG Sump.
The contractor shall ensure proper safety for workers during execution. The work also includes making the tank leak-proof by applying 1:2 cement mortar plaster in cracks/loose plaster with Dr. Fixit or equivalent approved waterproofing compound, or any other superior mixture, to prevent leakage, along with one coat of whitewashing to the internal wall surface.
Notes:
(i) The work shall commence after the site is handed over by the Engineer-in-Charge. In case of delay in taking over the site or execution of work, a recovery of ₹10000 per day will be made from the contractor’s bill from the date of handing over of the site till completion of the work.
(ii) The cost of materials such as cement, bleaching powder, wire brush, Dr. Fixit waterproofing compound, etc, shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates.
(iii) After taking over the site, the contractor shall arranged sufficient manpower within max three days and deploy sufficient manpower and complete the work within a maximum period of 5 hours..
(iv) Water supply shall not be affected during the execution of the work. In case the contractor fails to complete the work within the stipulated time, a penalty of 25% of the estimated cost of the schedule item shall be recovered from the contractor’s bill. | 2 | Each Job | 100 | ₹200 |
| 4 | Material and labour for removal of filter bed media (gravel and sand) from filter beds of size 6.5 m × 4.5 m up to a depth of 1.5 m, as per the existing arrangement and standard practices.
The scope includes cleaning of filter media (gravels only) using fresh/clean water to remove fine dirt deposits, making the material suitable for reuse, proper segregation of gravel and sand, and dismantling/removal of old damaged tiles, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Details of Existing Layers of Media:
Bottom layer: 40 mm size gravel up to 300 mm thickness
Second layer: 30 mm size gravel up to 300 mm above the first layer
Third layer: 20 mm size gravel up to 300 mm above the second layer
Top layer: Sand of size 0.35–0.5 mm up to 600 mm above the third layer
Notes:
(i) One filter bed shall be taken up at a time for cleaning.
(ii) The contractor shall complete the cleaning work within the stipulated shutdown period by deploying sufficient labour, materials, tools, and plant. | 3 | Each Job | 100 | ₹300 |
| 5 | Material and labour for refilling of filter bed media in filter beds of size 6.5 m × 4.5 m up to a depth of 1.5 m, using cleaned old gravel 40mm size (Bottom layer) max thickness 300mm as per existing arrangement and standard specifications, including spreading, levelling, dressing, and proper compaction/settling all as specified and directed.
Note:
(i) The job shall be carried out during the stipulated shutdown period using adequate labour, tools, and plant, complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
(ii) Shortage of gravel size 40mm during removal and cleaning of filter bed will be measured and paid separately under the respective item of BOQ. | 10 | Per Cum | 100 | ₹1,000 |
| 6 | All as per Ser Item No 05 above but gravel size 30mm for 2nd layer putting the filter bed max 300mm thickness.

| 9 | Supplying, loading, transporting, unloading, and placing of Hard, durable, and inert crushed stone or river gravel, free from clay, silt, organic matter, and other impurities, well graded within the range of 31.5 mm to 50 mm.graded, Sub-angular to rounded particles; flaky and elongated pieces shall be minimal , washed, free from dust and deleterious substances filter media gravel of nominal size 40 mm in filter beds, all as specified and directed.
Note:
(i) The gravel shall be thoroughly washed before placement.
(ii) It shall be laid in position in layers to the required thickness as per design/drawing.
(iii) Care shall be taken to avoid segregation and contamination during laying.
(iv) The surface shall be levelled and properly graded to receive subsequent filter layers.
