Supply and Installation of ESE Lightning arrester at Kundapura Lighthouse- ANNEXURE_III

Lightning arrester

Providing and fixing 25 mm X 3 mm copper strip on surface or in recess for connections etc. as required. (For Lightning arrester)

Earthing with copper earth plate 600 mm X 600 mm X 3 mm thick including accessories, and providing masonry enclosure with cover plate having locking arrangement and watering pipe of 2.7 metre long etc. with charcoal / coke and salt as required.(For Lightning arrester) IS 2309 1969: Code of practice for the protection of building and allied structures against lightning.(Two earthing)

Supply of Early Streamer Emission (ESE) lightning conductor. Equipped with Stainless central pick up rod. Full electrical continuity between the tip and the earth point. Fully autonomous (no battery, no external power supply required) Collect energy through streamer emission controlled with detects the lightning and trigger a streamer (3,5KV and 20A). The ESE shall cover the area of 60 mtrs. Radius. Manufactured as per CPRI Requirements & as per Indian standard.

Supply of 6 mtr. single length elevation pole (Lightning arrester mast) made of GI “C” Class 50mm dia. with a M20 thread at the top to fix the ESE unit. Necessary provisions shall be provided for stay wire termination, fixing of insulated copper flat laying from the top (ESE unit) of the mast to bottom of the mast. The bottom of the mast shall be welded with 300 x 300 x 10mm GI plate and supported gazette plate with 4 nos. of 22mm hole suitable for making foundation bolt for fixing the mast. The stay wires shall be made of 6mm SS in the grade of 304 with suitable SS wire rope clamp which withstand salty atmosphere and wind speed of 150km/hr.

Providing and fixing of additional 6 feet Triangle GI support to the mast pipe with hand rail using 40mm GI ‘C’ class pipe by using copper clamp with SS bolt and nut.
