Annual Rate Contract (ARC) for External painting of various office and plant buildings in Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited Trombay Factory at Chembur, Mumbai74

Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within factory premises.

Providing and applying 12 mm thick sand faced / cement rendering external cement plaster for concrete and masonry, upto 10m from ground level and at all locations in cement mortar in 1:3 proportion, including hacking of concrete surface, finishing, curing, scaffolding etc complete.

Demolishing brick work in lime or cement mortar including plaster, paint, etc. manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within factory premises as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Brick work with common burnt clay F.P.S. (non modular) bricks of class designation 3.5 and above in superstructure above plinth level in all shapes and sizes in : 1:4 Cement Mortar 1:4 ( 1 Cement: 4 Fine Aggregate)

Chipping /removing loose concrete upto reinforcement bars, without damaging the reinforcement, removing all the loose materials and to make all the exposed surfaces free from oil, dust and all impurities etc complete.

Removing corrosion of steel reinforcement by mechanical means like wire brushing, chipping to remove loose rust and then applying rust removal solution by using brush application, leaving the surface for at least 15 to 30 minutes, then removing loose materials by scrubbing or with brush. After detachment of loose scales reddish rusted surface is still left exposed, this has to be retreated or as per approved manufacturers specifications. (Note:- Consider surface area of concrete for payment)

Repair with Polymer Modified Mortar (PMM): Repairs to the deteriorated / damaged areas of RCC elements in the structure shall be carried out by using powder Polymer Modified repair mortar. The polymer modified mortar is applied when the epoxy bonding coat is still tacky. In one application 25 mm thickness shall be built. Subsequent layer shall be built with one bond coat of Polymer modified cement slurry. The polymer modified repair mortar shall be mixed, applied and cured as per technical specifications.

Repairing to the existing RCC structural members (vertical or horizontal) using ready mix Micro Concrete of approved brand where the thickness of repair is more than 30 mm and upto 115 mm. It can be used for carrying out extensive repairs to beams, columns and other structural elements, repairing of structural members subjected to repetitive loading & for Jacketing of beams, columns and other structural elements for strengthening. No payment shall be made for form work. Payment will be made as per actual consumption of Micro concrete by weight.

Providing and applying primer + two coats of 100% acrylic breathable, water based, anticarbonation coating. Cracks, if any, shall be filled with Polymer modified mortar. The rate shall include complete treatment mentioned above complete as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Providing and applying first single coat of approved primer and two coats of anti-algal, anti-fungal, acrylic based exterior paint with silicone additives of following make and approved colour as per manufacturers specifications to any surface, upto 10m height from ground level and at all locations as directed including preparing surfaces for painting by any approved means, scaffolding, cleaning and curing etc. complete as directed by RCF ltd. Any of the following brands shall be allowed to use 'Weathercoat- Longlife10' of Berger paints, 'Weather shield-Clear' of Dulux, 'Apex-Ultima' of Asian paints. Painting should be certified by the manufacturer out of any of the above said brands. Painting certificate of warranty should be taken from the manufacturer seaprately for all the buildings painted.
