A. CONSTRUCTION OF OVER HEAD WATER TANK

Earthwork in excavation for foundation trenches of walls, retaining walls, footings of column, steps, septic tank etc. including refilling (return filling) the quantity as necessary after completion of work, breaking clods in return filling, dressing, watering and ramming etc. and removal of surplus earth with all lead and lifts as directed and specified in the following classification of soils including bailing out water where necessary as directed and specified. (A) Up to a depth of 2.00m below the existing ground level.(a) In ordinary soil

PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE WORKS: Plain cement concrete works with coarse aggregate of sizes 13mm to 32mm in foundation bed for footing steps, walls, brick works etc. as directed and specified including dewatering if necessary, and curing complete (shuttering where necessary shall be measured and paid separately). (a) In prop 1cement: 3 sand :6 coarse aggregate by volume

REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE WORKS: Providing and laying plain/reinforced cement croncrete works cement, coarse sand & 20mm down graded stone aggregate including dewatering if necessary, and curing complete but excluding cost of form work and reinforcement for reinforced cement concrete work (form work and reinforcement will be measured and paid separately). (I) Using Mixer Machine. (A) In substructure up to plinth level. Foundation, footing, columns with base tie and plinth beam, pile cap, base slab, retaining walls, walls of septic tank, inspection pit and the like and other works not less than 100mm thick up to plinth level. P) Using admixture, plasticiser etc for air entraining, water reducing purposes including addition of agent for changing normal setting time of concrete as required. b) M20 grade concrete or Prop. 1:1.5:3

CEMENT CONCRETE FLOORING : Cement concrete works in topping 1:1:2 (1 cement :1 sand :2 graded aggregates on R.C.C floor, tread and rise of steps finished with a floating coat of neat cement using cement slurry for bond @ 2.75 kg.of cement per sq. m. of floor to be laid in panels including curing complete as directed. (a) 15 mm thick

Providing soling in foundation and under floor with stone/ best quality picked jhama brick, sand packed and laid to level and in panel after preparing the subgrade as directed including all labour and materials and if necessary dewatering, complete. (a).Brick on flat soling.

BRICK FLOORING: Brick-on-flat floor with 1st class brick and grouted with cement mortar in prop. 1:4 (1 cement : 4 sand) including 15 mm thick cement plastering in proportion 1:2 (1 cement : 2 sand) finishing with a floating coat of neat cement finish using cement slurry @ 2.75 kg. per sq. metre of floor area and curing complete.

TIMBER SHUTTERING (FORMWORK): Providing form work of ordinary timber planking so as to give a rough finish including centering, shuttering, strutting and propping etc., height of propping and centering below supporting floor to ceiling not exceeding 4.0M and removal of the same for in-situ reinforced concrete and plain concrete work in Foundation, footings, bases of columns, pile cap, raft and mass concrete works etc. (a) Using 38mm thick plank.

TIMBER SHUTTERING (FORMWORK): Providing form work of ordinary timber planking so as to give a rough finish including centering, shuttering, strutting and propping etc., height of propping and centering below supporting floor to ceiling not exceeding 4.0M and removal of the same for in-situ reinforced concrete and plain concrete work in Domes, Vaults and shell roofs having curved surface in both directions (only area of the underside shall be measured for payment). Providing scaffolding using L&T-Doka access scaffold system upto a height of 40m. supported by frames of timber H-beams, bracings including suitable couplers, pins, tower spindles and 2nd class timber plank platforms complete as specified and directed by the department. Supplying and applying interior/exterior walls/ floors/ roofs one coat of Epoxy Primer of Jenson & Nicholson/ Nerolac brand as priming coat after cleaning and clearing the surfaces as specified and directed and then applying two coats of Epoxy paints of Jenson & Nicholson/ Nerolac brand of required shade on walls/ floors/ roof surfaces as specified and directed complete including scaffolding at all levels.

Applying primary coat over new steel and other metal surface over 100m in width or girth after preparing the surface by throughly cleaning oil,grease, dirt and other foreign matter and scoured with wire brushes, fine steels, wood scrapers and sand paper. a). With ready mixed "red-lead/ red oxide" primer.

Painting two coats (excluding priming coat) on new steel and other metal surface with enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture(Asian paint/ Berger paint/ ICI paint/ J & N paint/ Nerolac) to give an even shade including cleaning the surface of all dirt, dust and other foreign matter.Surfaces over 100mm in width or girth with High gloss (Asian paint/ Berger paint/ ICI paint/ J & N paint/ Nerolac).

Supplying, fitting and fixing in position reinforcement bars conforming to relevant I.S. Code for R.C.C. work/ R.B. walling including straightening, cleaning, cutting and bending to proper shapes and length as per details, supplying and binding with 20G annealed black wire and placing in position with proper blocks, supports, chairs, spacers etc. complete. From Primary Producer: TATA/SAIL/ Jindal steel/Shyam steel/RINL Super Ductile (SD) TMT reinforcement bars (No extra measurement for lap, hook, chair, anchor etc. will be entertained in the measurement as they are included in the rate) (Upto 1st floor level)

Proving and fixing M.S Tube hand rail of approved size by welding etc. to steel ladder railing, balcony railing, staircase railing and similar nature works, including applying priming coat of approved steel primer complete as specified and directed by department.

REINFORCEMENT: Supplying, fitting and fixing in position reinforcement bars conforming to relevent IS code, for reinforced cement concrete works in piles including straightening, cleaning, cutting and bending to proper shapes and length as per specifications and drawings. The rings should be welded with vertical reinforcements as per specified IS codes of practice. (Inclusive of lap length, hook, chair, bend, anchor...etc). (A) TMT bar made of Primary producer (From Primary producer)

Demolishing R.C.C./ P.C.C. pile head of different diameters carefully without disturbing the remaining portion of the pile including opening out of the pile head to be demolished by excavating the earth upto required depth and clearing the debris as directed.

LOAD TEST ON PILES : Routine test for test loading to 1.5 times the specified safe working load including construction of any test pile cap and dismantling the same after completion of test. (Rate for Safe working Load)

Testing the tank for leakage

Providing, supplying and placing of GI water stopper in RCC wall, base slab, cover slab, central shaft etc. of water retaining structure to be made out of G.I. plain sheet not thinner than 22 SWg and of size 300 mm wide, all complete as directed and specified. (for the Cascade type Aerator, it is to be provided at the junction of the deck slab and the gutter wall.)

Supplying, fitting, fixing of CI puddle flange in position for outlet and draining arrangement in flash mixer including grouting etc. all complete as per design and as directed.

Providing Inlet, outlet, over flow and wash water draining arrangement for the elevated service reservoir, comprising of 15 mm dia CI/DF pipe of Class A, including provising of all necessary CI / DF specials viz., bend, reducer, socket etc. & clamping devices of the piping system and including supplying of all necessary materials and labour, all complete, as directed and specified.

Supplying, fitting and fixing of 150 mm dia. CI / DF Sluice Valve of class PN-1.6, including supplying, fitting and fixing of all necessary nuts & bolts, rubber insertion sheet (gusket) etc. and including supply of all necessary labours, all complete, as directed and specified

Supplying, fitting and fixing of electrically operated 150 mm dia. Float operated water level indicator for the Clear Water Sump to be fitted on roof of the sump having the range of 0 – 70 M3 with least count of 5 M3, complete with float, scale, pulley, nylon chord, MS frame etc. and including calibration of the scale, all complete as directed.

B. Water supply distribution network

Extraction of drilling pipes/ bits against skin friction at the end of each day and after completion of the operation including washing of the bore hole all complete as directed

40 mm thick cement concrete floor consisting of 25 mm under layer of cement concrete in prop. 1:3:6 (1cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 coarse aggregate of 12.5 mm and down) and 15 mm thick wearing layer in cement concrete in prop. 1:1:2 (1cement :1 coarse sand : 2 coarse aggregate of size 10mm down) finished with a floating coat of neat cement finish using cement slurry for bond @ 2.75 kg. per square metre of floor area , wearing layer is to be laid in panels including curing etc. complete as directed.

15 mm thick Cement plaster in single coat on single or half brick wall for interior plastering up to 1st floor level including arises, internal rounded angles, not exceeding 80mm girth and finished even and smooth including curing complete as directed. On rough side In cement mortar 1:4

Removing dry or oil bound distemper by washing and scraping and sand papering the wall surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches complete.

Distempering with dry distemper of approved brand and manufacture(two coats)and of required shade on new wall surface to give an even shade, over and including priming coat of white primer after throughly brushing the surface free from mortar dropings and other foreign matter and including preparing surface even and sand papered smooth.

EXTERIOR PAINTS / COATINGS: Applying one self-priming coat of acrylic emulsion coating of Unicem "Rakshak" brand by thinning 1ltrs of paints with 1ltrs of water over freshly plastered wall surface after throughly brooming the surfaces free from mortar droppings and other foreign matter and including preparing the surface even and sand papered smooth as specified and directed by the department.

Finishing wall with two coats of acrylic emulsion exterior coatings of Unicem "Rakshak" brand of required shade by thinning 1ltr. of paint with 750ml of water to give an even shade after throughly brooming the surfaces to remove all dirt and remains of loose powdered materials as specified and directed by the department.

Supplying, fitting and fixing door frame made of M.S. equal angle of size 40mm x 40mm x 5mm fabricated, welded, mitred and joined as per relevant I.S. Codes including fitting 8 nos. of M.S. hold fast, providing closing/ holding device for 2 nos. tower bolts of door for each side and 1 no. for fitting and fixing Aldrop (for single leaf) to the frame for fixing the door to the frame, applying primer to all steel surfaces fixing the frame to the wall/ R.C.C. members by embedding the hold fast securely in C.C. block of M-15 grade complete at all levels as specified and directed. (Door hinges to be paid as per relevant item of the schedule of rates).

Providing, fitting and fixing factory made wooden panelled doors with panel inserts of 75mm to 50mm width and 12mm to 20mm thickness,joined together with continous tongue and groove joints glued together with Movicol or other approved adhesive leaving a vertical groove of 7.5mm to 15mm between the inserts,the edges of panel inserts being feather tongue into styles and rails including providing three pairs of oxidised M.S butt hinges (100mm x75 mm x3.55mm) and furnishing with moulded timber beading of size 25mmx15mm around the panels complete as per drawing (moulded timber bead and all fittings except hinges to be paid separately). c) With 1st class local wood (Bola/Sundi). Applying priming coat over new wood and wood based surfaces over 100mm in girth/width after and including preparing the surface by throughly cleaning oil, grease, dirt snd other foreign matter , sand papering and knotting. (b). With ready mixed paint , wood primer (white).
