Providing Fire fighting personnel (Knowledge and operating the fire fighting equipment plotted at different places of complex), operation round the clock basis in all days. under the overall guidance of the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Man days means per day per man working time 8 Hours including required uniform, Torch and other accessories. [This rate has been calculated considering prevailing minimum wages vide No. 20/Stat/14/RW/24/2023/LCS/JLC dated 16.07.2024 of Government of West Bengal, Labour Department & also considering contribution to E.P.F., E.S.I. & Bonus to be made by the agency as per memorandum vide no. 3790-F(Y) Dated 21.07.2014 of Joint Secretary, Finance (Audit) Department, Govt. of West Bengal] Semiskilled worker 3 Nos. Deputation of skilled manpower for conducting Fire Mockdrill Operation at least once in a month to train the hospital staff alotted for the fire mitigating job during emergency. The person providing the training shall be in proper neat and clean uniform (wearing helmet ,shoes & Companys ID card ) and will behave courteously , disciplined and professional manner. The job includes checking & operation of the follwing items infront of them . (i) Check water level in U.G. Fire tank. (ii) Check level of fuel & refilling the same in Diesel Engine tank. (iii) Describe briefly each component of the system inside the pump room like main pump, jocky pump, Diesel engine pump, different pressure gauge, different valves and their purpose. (iv) Sequential operation of the pump in manual and auto mode until the desire pressure is achieved & check dropping of pressure if any due to any water leakage in hydraunt. (v) Check operation of Jocky Pump, automatic operation of diesel engine. (vi) Check & operate yard hydrants, how to hold hose pipes Nozzle when throwing water in full pressure. (vii) Check and test the condition of portable fire extinguishers. (viii) Necessary repair, rectification and replacement also required if any diffects was noticed during above operation.

Thorough inspection of Fire Hydrant network both inside and outside the buildings for checking any leakage or damage once in every month (preferably after 15 days gap of Mock Drill) to ensure proper functionality of the fire fighting system. (i) All minor repair & rectification work of all types of valves & equipments, replacement of damaged gasket, nuts & bolts, foot valve washer…etc (ii) Any kind of leakage if found in the hydrant pipes , must be rectify within 24 hour by welding. Urgent replacement of damaged wornout perforate pipes up to a cumulitive length of 20 m may be considered in the quoted rate (including diesel, lubricating oil,distilled water . (iii) Opening & closing each and every valves with necessary greasing by lubricating oil. All deposited iron, rust, rubbish should cleared off. Deposited iron mixed dirty water must be thrown out from each yard hydrant outlet every time. (iv) Main outer ring line shall be maintained cleaned all the time by cleaning the dust, rubbish, depositted iron with the help of blower or jharu or wire brush each time during the inspection. (v) Inventry wise check list report must be submitted to the concerned Assistant Engineer and a soft copy of the same has to be send to the office of the Executive Engineer on the day after inspection is over. (vi) Repeat the check mentioned in sl(i), (ii), (iv), (v), (vii) of item no. 1. (vii) Inside corridor and outside peripheri of the building should be free from any obstacle. Any accumulation of hospital garbage if noticed during inspection , must be brought in the notice of the Assistant Engineer immidiately.
