Jungle Boot;-1. Upper shall consist of Polyester Viscose (PV) Fabric, Water-repellent as an outer layer and 100% non- woven nylon (camarilla type) lining as inner layer. The two fabrics shall be adhered together with flexible adhesive and polyurethane foam of 5 mm thickness. Colour-Olive green,Colour of sole and toe cap-Black (For all other boots),Blend composition of polyester viscose fabric water Repellent-Polyester- 80% Viscose-Remainder.Binding material of polyester blended fabric, black having blend composition of polyester-67%, Cotton -33% & confirming to IS:15852-2009 for colour fastness to light, washing & PH value. In socks- In Sock Each boot shall be provided with a detachable 4.0 mm + 1.0 mm thick full in sock of compressed molded rubber having instep arch support and adequate ribs for grip ad comfort. The outer layer of the Knock hill be covered with Cambrelle type material in black color. Toe cap &Stiffener Well Struck heat activated thermoplastic toe puff & stiffeners of minimum thickness 1.5 mm & 2 mm respectively shall be used.Thread Polyester- Nil Lace Each pair of boots shall be provided with a pair of Nylon Black Laces of Length160 +Width 6 cm. Thickness of Sole in the finished condition, 1 Min. thickness of Sole 4mm 2. Cleat Height 2.5 mm 3. Thickness of Sole when measured from outside with side wall Forepart 20mm. 4.Thickness of sole when measured at waist from outside with side wall(mm)16, 5. Mass the Mass of one pair of finished boots of Size 8 shall be 750 to 850 gms with an increase or decrease of 50 gms for each bigger or smaller size respectively. 7-Marking the Outsole of the Boot must be Embossed /Engraved with the manufacturers name or his recognized trade mark, size, month and year of manufacture.8- Packing Each pair of Boots shall be packed in individual boxes to prevent damage.

   Bidders must fulfil the "Conditions of RESPONSIVENESS" mentioned in the tender document, failing which, their offer will be summarily rejected.

   Railway reserves the right to procure the material from proven sources/ manufacturer as per the following clauses: (i) Tenderers with satisfactory past performance for the tendered item or similar item (similar means any type/size/colour of Jungle Boot) for 20% and above of tendered quantity against cumulative orders in at least one of the last three completed Financial years and up to the tender opening date to any Zonal Railways/ Central/State Govt Organizations/PSUs/Public Listed Companies will only be eligible for full/bulk order. (ii) Tenderers who have some past performance, but not exceeding 20% of tendered quantity for the tendered item or similar item (similar means any type/size/colour of Jungle Boot) against cumulative orders in at least one of the last three completed Financial years and up to the tender opening date to any Zonal Railways/ Central/State Govt Organizations/PSUs/Public Listed Companies will be considered for developmental order upto 20% of tendered quantity. (iii) For (i) & (ii) tenderers to submit relevant documents (such as copies of Receipt note for stock items. Receipted Challan / Inspection Certificate / tax invoice for Non-stock items) along with their offer. In case the tenderers do not submit the requisite documents along with their offer, the tender will be decided on the basis of their past supply performance records as available with ECoR (if any).
