Preparation and submission of detailed structural design and drawing for RCC members / steel structure including soil investigation and also preparation of architectural drawings like plan and section of RCC members. The structural drawings and designs as submitted by the consultant shall be got vetted / approved by any of the IITs/NITs/State Government Colleges and the fee for the same shall be borne by the contractor/consultant. The contractor/ consultant shall intimate AAI the details of IITs/NITs/State Government Colleges from where structural designs and drawings will be vetted/approved. The consultant & Contractor shall coordinate according to the time schedule to be taken by IITs/NITs/State Government Colleges so as to ensure timely submission of the drawings by the Consultant & timely execution of work by the Contractor as specified. No additional time period or any cost shall be allowed to the contractor for any delay in designing, preparation of drawings,vetting of design and drawings from IITs/NITs/State Government Colleges etc. Major Engineering decision and specification shall be reviewed by AAI to the extent desired. Approval of any design/system by IITs/NITs/State Government Colleges or AAI shall however, not relieve the consultant & contractor in discharging their responsibilities regarding the adequacy of design and proper execution of the work. The consultant shall be fully responsible for adequacy, accuracy and quality of the structural design, safety of the structure. The services rendered by the consultant shall be in accordance with the acceptable standards of safety, environment and public health. The item includes the preparation and submission of Engineering/Structural drawings of RCC / steel structures, plans and layout drawing as per relevant IS code, Building codes and sound engineering practices. The contractor has to submit atleast Six Sets of 'Good for construction' drawings or revisions thereof.
