SPECIAL REPAIRS / REPLACEMENT OF WATER SUPPLYING PIPE LINES FOR RED QUARTERS AND COLLEGE OF NURSING AREA AT CHAF BANGALORE

Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and getting out in hard/ dense soil for laying of pipes in trenches, complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick with approved soil obtained from excavation, complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil not exceeding 50 metre and depositing at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Water tubing or GI pipe , medium grade, galvanized, in trenchesor fixed on walls/ floors/ roofs etc with and including provision of all connected fittings including taking down or up existing unserviceable GI tubing/PPR tubing with all fittings from trenches, walls and floors etc., and disposal under Schedule of credit for the following sizes , complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Excavation and earth work where required shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule.

Gun metal gate valves with iron wheel head screwed both ends for GI pipe including taking down of existing unserviceable Gun metal gate valve for the following sizes, complete all as specified and directed.

(c) 20 mm bore

Ductile iron pipes, Class K-7, with spigot and socketed ends centrifugally cast (spun) with factory applied cement mortar lining inside the pipes and outside with zinc coating with suitable push on joint (Rubber gasket D joint) confirming to IS 8329/2000 of size 100mm bore and connected items including taking down the existing unserviceable Ductile iron pipes of any type and size, complete all as specified and directed

Ductile iron fittings, heavy duty, such as bends, tapers, tees, collars, tail pieces, reducers, etc. laid and jointed with suitable push on joints including taking down of old unserviceable Ductile fittings, complete all as specified and directed.

Cutting cast iron pipes 100mm in position for insertion of new fittings or for carrying out repairs of following sizes all as specified and directed. Note:-Excavation and earth work, CI / DI fittings where required shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of this schedule.

Sluice valve cast iron body with brass spindle 100mm class-1 ISI marked, PN-1.0, both end flanged and drilled and fixed with bolts and nuts and washers including providing rubber insertion of suitable thickness including taking out existing unserviceable sluice valves, complete all as specified and directed

Construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 90 cm x 90 cm x 90 cm (internal dimensions) with one brick thick wall in cement mortar (1:4) on 100 mm thick PCC (1:4:8) type D2 (using 40 mm graded aggregate) as in foundation, 15 mm thick rendering in cement mortar (1:4) internally and externally up to 15 cm below ground level including, provision of valve pit cover made out of 3 mm thick MS sheet welded with 40 x 5 mm thick flat iron all round, on ISA 40 x 40 x 6 mm angle iron frame, fixed with hold fast 150 mm long, embedded in PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (Block size 230 x 200 x 100 mm) with necessary hinges, handles, locking arrangement, including applying two coats of white wash on plastered surfaces and two coats of bituminious paint and two coats of synthetic enamelover a coat of red oxide primer on steel surface and ncessary earth work in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Valve chamber cover with frame and locking arrangement made out of angle iron or other section and MS sheet 3mm thickness with welding of holdfast etc. including hinges fabricated MS is not less than the thickness of frame including preparation of surfaces and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and directed.

Labour for drilling/cutting trenches under the floor with the help of manual or by bocki for crossing GI tubing up to 100mm to cross road and making good disturbed surface, complete all as specified and directed
