Surface excavation not exc 30cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soil/material to a distance not exc 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.50 metre above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting/filling with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller to required level, gradient and camber including filling in depressions which occur during the process of rolling, watering as necessary, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Soling (or sub base) 150mm thick (spread thickness) in one layer with broken boulders or quarried stone (Granite, Trap, Basalt), interstices filled of grading 1 (90 to 45 mm size), surface formed, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 150 mm thick (Compacted thickness) WBM, in two layers (75 mm thick each layer) with coarse aggregates of granite, trap or basalt stone of grading 2 (63 mm to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size), blinded with screening of hard stone of grading ‘A’, spread, watered and rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, hollows made up to form true surface and consolidated to required gradient and camber etc, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for continuous Jodhpur stone slab edging, not less than 7.5 cm thick, 30 cm to 35 cm wide (for depth of edging) and 30 cm to 45 cm long, laid dry vertically, jointing and pointing in CM 1:4, each stone slab self faced on both the vertical sides, edges slightly true and square on top edge, hammer dressed for the full thickness so that the depression from a straight edge held against the surfaces shall not exceed 20 mm between two joints of slab including necessary excavation and embedding stone edging to depth required and tamping ground around stone edging and also including spreading surplus soil on berms complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i) The stone slabs shall be laid abutting to each other in such a way that thickness of edging is equal to thickness of stone slabs and depth of edging is equal to width of stone slabs. (ii) The stone slabs shall be obtained from “Chitter quarry” at “Jodhpur”. (iii) In case edging is laid on both sides of a road, each side of road shall be measured and paid for separately.

Material & Labour for preparing newly laid un-surfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 10 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism, providing, laying, spreading 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) Job mix formula shall be approved by CWE. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Computerised print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor.

M&L for Thermo plastic road marking 2.0 mm thick painting (lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on new or previously treated road surfaces) with road safety spikeries glass beads including preparation of new or previously treated road surfaces and applying paint by using special applicator machine with heating arrangement complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F delineator with two high performance 100mm dia reflectors and two rectangular reflectors of size 70mmx23mm, fixed on both sides of Guide Post of oval shape of dimension 302mmx167mm (minimum) moulded in ABS plastic and shall be fixed on powder coated mild steel pipe of 50mm dia and overall 1010mm height, delineator shall be fixed in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregates) block of size 300x300x350mm deep, including necessary excavation & earthwork, complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i) Delineator shall be of Model “DA 74’ of make ‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez. (ii) Reflectors shall be positioned at the best eye guiding level so that drivers shall be warned from a safe distance.
