Consultancy for Soil Investigation for Provn of Deficient Type-II MD Accn at Mangalore

1. Mobilisation & Demobolisation (a) Making necessary arrangements for mobilisation & Demobilisation of equipment , tools & plant, personneletc required for soil investigation and their removal after satisfactory completion of work in land including slushy areas. Note:The rate includes errecting the setup at first borehole location [Qty:- 01 No] (b) Shifting of entire arrangement from one borehole to another borehole location and setting of boring/drilling rig as required [Qty:- 06 Nos] 2. FIELD TESTS (a) Boring 150mm dia bore holes to a maximum depth of 12 m (Including 3.0 Mtr in hard rock as per IS 1892) through any type of soil /strata by using rotary drill method in terms of IS:1892 [Qty:- 06 Nos]. Carrying out 'K' value(Plate load) test at 4.0 M depth. [Qty:- 01 No] (i) Boring and collection of samples From GL as per the above II(a) upto refusal and a minimum depth of 3.0 M into the rock. (ii) Collection of undisturbed soil sample (UDS) at 3.0 m intervals or at any change of stratas in 100mm bore thin walled tube including waxing,sealing,packing and transporting to the lab (iii) Carrying out standard penetration test (SPT) including collection of disturbed soil samples in boreholes at every 1.5M depth or change of strata and submit the report with all requisite data. (iv) Collecting water samples from boreholes

(b) In case of hard rock is not encountered beyond 9.0 M depth additional payment @ Rs 740.00 Per RM shall be released per RM depth of boring & collection of samples and analysis of report [Max Qty:- 18 RM] 3. LABORATORY TESTS AS PER IS: 1892 (a) Conducting necessary laboratory tests as per relevent IS Codes on all collected samples which includes the determination of :- (i) Atterburg limits (ii) Natural moisture content (iii)Wet and dry density (iv)Soil/Particle size using sieve hydrometer analysis (v) Tri-axial shear test C&D (vi)Shrinkage limit (vii)Consolidation test (viii)Specific gravity test (ix) Crushing strength of rock samples,degree of weathering(CR Value) and ROD of rock samples (x) Permeability test (xi)Chemical analysis on soil samples (xii)Chemical analysis on water samples (xiii)Standard and modified proctor density test (xiv)Vane shear test (xv)Salinity test (xvi)Grain size analysis,identification & classification of soil (xvii)Liquid limit ,plastic limit,shrinkage limit,plasticity index (xviii)Shear parameters(C-Phi analysis) (xix)Depth of water table below ground level
