Dismantling of double rope drum manually operated hoist system of 09 Nos. gates at Check dam Pranjali in Kathua then unwinding of steel wire rope from the gates and drums. Cutting the extra length of wire rope due to elongation of wire rope so that original length is maintained. Again winding of rope in the drums after passing it through the pulleys of gates. Clamping ends and lubrication of the ropes. Care should be taken to prevent the jumping of rope out of the groove of pulley. Checking of oil level in gear box, topping up the gear oil as required, greasing of the movable parts, assembling the hoist system after checking and ensuring that up and down travelling of the gates is smooth and trouble free. The job further includes adjustment of seals to minimise leakage. Complete job at site includes cost of material, hire charges of tools & tackles and labour charges on a/c of skilled labour required for execution of work.
