REPAIR TO SHOULDERS PME MAKING OF ALS AT 3 AFRU CHANDAN UNDER GE AF JAISALMER

M&L for preparation of old black top bituminious runways/links/ aircraft operating surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms/mechanical means to remove all loose dust, dirt etc and finally fanning the cleaned surface with compressed air and making the surface free from dust etc, drying the surface and applying unifirmly two coats of cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by using self-propelled emulsion distribution assemply or towed emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the PME uniformly & mopping the surfaces, total undiluted PME @ minimum 1.00 litre per sqm in two coats with mineral filler as recommended by the manufacture of PME (after diluting with water) each coat diluted in the ration 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on old aircraft operating surface, etc. complete all as per manufacturer's instructions and all as specified and directed. Note:- Unit rates qouted by the contractors/bidders shall be deemed to be included for the following aspects:- (i) Due care shall be taken for friction parameters during application of PME as per ICAD standard and on completion of work Contractor shall submit friction testing report from approved Lab/Agency for any No's of points/locations as directed by GE. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised & registered applicator of the manufacturer only. Softening point of residual bitumen shall be above 60 degree celsius. (iii) Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's insturctions and quoted rate is included for repair of gaps/cracks. (iv) A performance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the Contractor on completion of the works as specified. (v) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess/wastage quantity of polymer modified emulsion (PME) than that mentioned above is used depending upon condition of the surface to be treated. (vi) Minus price adjustment as per pro-rata of quoted rate for min 1.0 litre/Sqm in two coats shall be made if less quantity of PME as per manufacturer's instructions and subsequently approved by GE is used in work. (vii) Initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (viii) Trial patch of size 15m x 15m of minimum three makes as listed in tender document. (ix) On approval of trial patch the contractor shall immediately procure the total qty of material required and also submit PVs and test reports before commencement of work. (x) The commencement and completion of work shall be within the preiod as per site availability and users directives and the Contractor shall adhere strictly to the time lines by complying for all emergency requirements as per direction of users and complete the work satisfactorily in all respects within the specified period.

M&L for preparation of old painted concrete / bituminous surfaces exceeding 10 cm width or girth of ALS, runways, roads, halipads pavements and the like and painting lines, dashes, arrows letters etc with road marking paint white, golden yellow or any other colour as required and the painted surfaces shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing signs of brush marks or surface underneath, if necessary surface shall be repaired until the desired result is obtained etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of old painted concrete / bituminous surfaces not exceeding 10 cm width or girth of approach road to ALS, runways, roads, halipads pavements and the like and painting lines, dashes, arrows letters etc with road marking paint white, golden yellow or any other colour as required and the painted surfaces shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing signs of brush marks or surface underneath, if necessary surface shall be repaired until the desired result is obtained etc complete all as specified and directed.

Racking out old, decayed cement mortar pointing to boulders/stone pitching, stone paving in horizondal/sloped surface and washing the joints, removing rubbish off the premises up to 500m, etc. complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for flush pointing in cement mortar (1:4) to boulders/stone pitching, stone paving in horizondal/sloped surface, etc. complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing old shoulder surfaces by Air compresser, brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc
