CA NO. GE (I) (AF)/SHL/ OF 2020-2021 REPAIRS/REPLACEMENT OF POST TOP LANTERN LIGHTS, FLOOD LIGHTS, HIGH MAST LIGHTS INCLUDING REPLACEMENT OF UG CABLES OF SECURITY LIGHTS AND ALLIED WORKS AT EAC (U), AF UNDER GE (I) (AF) SHILLONG

Note : All unserviceable materials obtained out of demolition/dismantling/taking down (other than those for which credit catered under Schedule of credit) shall be disposed of outside MoD Land. Quoted rates against respective item shall deemed to include for same.

Excavation in trenches in soft / loose soil, not exc 1.5 m wide and n. exc 1.5 m depth or n exc 10 Sqm on plan & getting out, for laying of cables, foundations of poles, struts, stays etc. and getting out including triming and forming bottom surface complete, all as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cms thick in soft / loose soil back in trenches after cables have been laid and tested, poles, stays , struts have been erected and tested complete all as directed.

Removing excavated materials to a distance not exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 m above the starting point in soils complete all as directed.

Taking out old unserviceable LT UG cable and Supplying, Fixing/laying, jointing and testing and commissioning, LT under ground cables, 1100 Volts grade, XLPE insulated, armoured heavy duty electric cable with stranded aluminuim conductors, laid in trenches, ducts/fixed on poles/walls/laid under roads/paths/drains/culverts or encased in GI pipe complete all as specified and directed of following sizes:-

2 core 10 Sqmm

4 core 16 Sqmm NOTE :- (a) Termination of cable/jointing at terminal boxes etc shall be done using suitable size lugs and gland packing as per IE rules/as specified in SSR. (b) Excavation & earth work, shall be measured and paid for seprately under respective items of the BOQ. (c) GI pipe for laying of cable, sand cushioning, cable protection cover shall be measured and paid for seprately under respective items of the BOQ (d) Road cutting involved during excavation for laying of cables etc shall be made good as per existing road. Nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. Quoted rates of the item shall be inclusive of the above provisions.

Taking out old unserviceable GI pipe and S & F Galvanised steel tubing light grade for protection of under ground cable on poles / walls/under road crossing/laid in trenches etc conforming to IS-1239 for following bore complete all as directed:-

40 mm bore (Note : Excavation & earth work shall be measured & paid separately under respective items of this Schedule).

M & L for dry sand cushioning to PVC under ground cable with screened and washed sand and punning to provide a required cover complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Thickness after punning shall be considered for payment.

M & L for brick protection for UG XLPE cable with burnt clay old size sub class 'B' bricks laid dry and flat abutting each other with gaps between adjacent brick not more than 10mm and width equal to length of brick in trenches across the cable complete all as directed.

Taking out old unserviceable PVC insulated & PVC Round Sheathed 3 core 2.5 Sqmm cable from any situation and Supply and fix/lay PVC insulated and FR PVC Round Sheathed, Copper Conductor (flexible) industrial cable, 1100 Volt, conforming to IS 694 for connecting light fitting from junction box to light fitting complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement SMC junction box of inside dimension 140 x 140 x 95 made out of polycarbonate sheet, side hinged door and with locking arrangement consisting of connectors and fixed to pole with 2 Nos. MS flat iron 25x3mm clamps with nuts & bolts &complete all as specified and as directed. Model No GS-JB-1414 of Make-Sintex or equivalent model of Make Hensel.

S & F in replacement sheet metal enclosure single door DB SPN 2 way, 240 volts, protection class IP-30 made out of CRCA mild steel sheet surface with epoxy powder coated surface confirming to IS-13032, IS 8623, BS-EN 60439-3 including one No. MCB SPN 6-32 Amps, 240 volts, C-curve, rupturing capacity 10KA conforming to IEC-60898, Part-I complete all as specified and directed.
