RESURFACING OF ROAD ROAD MARKING REPLACEMENT OF ROAD FURNITURE AND ALLIED WORKS AT AF STN ARJAN SINGH

Milling of existing wearing coarse mechanically by using milling machine and disposed off retrived material at a location decided by Engr-in-Charge inside MOD land.

Material & Labour preparation of old bituminious/ black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing cake mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in -charge.

Material & labour applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminious primer @ 5kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen (grade VG 10) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for premix bituminous macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (Consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) using paving bitumen VG-30 grade as binder minimum 4% by weight of total mix complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) The design mix shall got carried from IIT/NIT/Govt Engg College and the cost shall be inclusive inthe quoted rate.(ii) If the requirement of bitumen as per design mix is more than 4% the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost to the Govt.

M&L Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content of grade VG-30 by weight of total Mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using hot mix plant and machanical paver rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) The design mix shall got carried from IIT/NIT/Govt Engg College and the cost shall be inclusive inthe quoted rate. (ii) Premix SDAC shall be procured from a Hot Mix Plant (iii) Exact quantity of binder to be used shall be ascertained by Design Mix. (iv) Minimum of 5.5 % of binder shall be used. However in case more than 5.5% of binder content is required as per design mix the same shall be provided by the contractor at no extra cost. (v) Bitumen content and density testing equipment should be readily available at site during work.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10 cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufactures instruction complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparation of previously treated surface to receive painting and applying one coat of Synthetic enamel paint on brick, stone, plaster or concrete complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fix solar cat eye aluminium alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/ 1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd completed as per manufactures instructions etc. including taking down of old solar cat eye of any specification all as specified and directed. Note: The Contractor shall submit the PV of Cat eyes.Non-submission may lead to non payment of RAR/FB.The Eng-in-Charge shall keep the PV on record.

Supply and fixing retro refelctive raised pavement markers (cat eye) double sided lens reflector of ABS body of size 100mm x 100mm x 18.5mm with reflector fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions including taking down of old solar cat eye of any specification complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing Retro Reflective sticker with letter or figure on ACP sheet (Block, Roman, Italic or Indian) not exc. 30 cm in silver white with blue colour back ground with high intensity grade, pasted or substrate by pressure sensitive adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying pressure conforming to class II of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the sheet to structural frame work by means of suitable sized aluminium alloys rivets or bolts & nuts @ 300 mm centre to centre all along the periphery as specified as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for stainless steel hollow sections or steel plate of any thickness incl cutting to shape/size required and connecting together by means of welding/rivetting and embedding in concrete after dismantling of old unserviceable steel section of any sizes complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge (PCC shall be measured separately)

Excavation in post holes (or similar holes) each n exc. 0.5 cum, getting out,returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm.

M&L PCC 1:2:4, type B2 with using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.
