Supply, Laying, jointing and testing LT underground cable, heavy duty, 1100 Volts, XLPE insulated and sheathed, armoured with multi-stranded aluminium conductor cable, laid in trenches/ducts or fixed to poles/walls including cable gland of suitable sizes and aluminium lugs for connection complete all as specified and as directed . for cable size 10 Sqmm 4 core

Description all as per item No.1 above but cable size 16 Sqmm 4 core

Description all as per item No.1 above but cable size 50 Sqmm 3.5 core Note for Item No 1.00 to 1.03 :- (i) During earth work for laying of cable, any damage to the existing services will be made serviceable without any extra cost within 24 hrs. Supply and fix tubing 'light grade' galvanised iron of size 50mm bore with all fittings and fixed to poles, walls etc. with flat iron clamps/bolts/nuts/washers or laid in floors/under roads complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for cutting through existing bituminous road/PCC/floor/Stone block Tank road along cross section of the road as per required breadth and depth for laying of GI tubing/RCC pipe for encasing of cable and repairing the road to match with the original finishes complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE :- Contractor should visit the site before quoting the rate & GI Pipe will be measured and paid seperately in respective item.

Excavation in trenches n. exc. 1.5 mtr in wide and n. exc. 1.5 mtr in depth for laying of underground cable and getting out in hard / dense soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for sand/fine dust cushioning to under ground cable providing with a layer of 08 cm thick before laying of cable and 15 cm after laying of cable in trenches, hand punning complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE :- punning thickness of 18 cm will be measured for payment

Supplying and laying precast, PCC LT cable cover, class LV, type flat, size 250mm x 150mm x 40mm complete for protection of underground cable complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in excavated soil in trenches including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers n. exc. 25 cm thick ccomplete all as specified and as directed.

Removing of excavated soil to a distance n. exc. 50 mtr and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out serviceable/unserviceable electric cable of any size any type from excavated trenches on pole/on wall etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for disconnecting LT XLPE cable of any size from LT Panel or any location as directed for finding fault and Material and labour for defect rectification of underground cable laid in trenches or any location by locating fault with the help of electronic fault locating machine comprising of surge generator pulse, ECHO fault locator with high frequency distance calculator etc. complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE :- (i) The fault locating equipments will be brought to site within the 12 hours of instruction from Engr-in-Charge. (ii) Complaint will be notified to contractor on mobile phone at any time between 0800 hrs to 2200 hrs and has to be rectified within 12 hours after notification, failing which Rs 500/- per day per complaint will be recovered from the dues to the contractor. (iii) Rates included necessary earth work .

Material and labour for earthing complete with hot dip galvanized steel pipe in pipe electrode, outer pipe 88mm dia medium grade and inner pipe 55 mm dia including testing, 3 mtr long and having 50x6 mm terminal on inner pipe to connect earthing strip with 14 mm holes for nut bolts, buried directly and vertically in ground with top edge at 30 cm below ground level after making bore hole of 100 mm dia and 3.3 mtr deep using suitable mechanical drilling machine (for drilling near the specified bldg) connected with galvanized steel earthing lead of 32x6 mm strip with minimum two Nos of GI nut bolits and connected to test point from earthing pit. The electrode pipes should be filled with 2x 25 kg bags of carbon based earthing compound. The resistance of the compound should be less than 0.1 Ohms . The compound should be highly conductive, hygroscopic, non magnetic, non corrosive in nature and have best moisture retaining qualities with ph value between7-9. Connected to the earthing test point, Fiber reinforced plastic pit not less than 300x300 mm with pit cover, including necessary returning filling & removal of extra soil , to achieved earth resistance value less than 5 Ohms including testing complete all as specified and as directed . NOTE :- IF the desired result not obtained after testing the contractor should do re-eathing without any extra cost.

Material and labour for connecting galvanised iron (GI) strip 32 X 6 mm, in replacement to the existing earthing strip to eqpts complete all as specified and as directed.

Lopping / prooning of tree branches upto the extend to obtain clearance all around the LT over head lines / HT over head lines conductor upto 1 mtr from furthest conductor on pole including removing of cut branches and cleaning of site complete all as specified and as directed . NOTE :- (a). The trees branches etc will be removed from site and stack as directed and will not be carried away by the contractor as the wood belongs to CEO / DEO. (b). Contractor will employ sufficient labour to complete the job with in time as directed. (c). Contractor will be responsible for any type of mis-happening / accident while prooning the trees. (d). Contractor supervisor will take proper shut down from MES installation before starting the work and clear it before resuming power supply . (e). The contractor will provide proper tools and safety devices to his staff for prooning of trees.

Material and labour for repair/overhauling of LT panels of any make & capacity MCCB 100A to 630A, voltage 415 Volts/230 Volts, opening the doors/covers of the cubicle enclosure for carrying out the servicing/ maintenance / repairs of the Panel Board, switch gear, metering etc and re-fixing the same in place after following repairs/check for smooth functioning all as specified and as directed :- a) Cleaning the inside switch gear chambers for removing dust, carbon and rusted surfaces including cleaning with blower and apply insulating varnish. b) Check the condition of the support insulators including cleaning applying dettol solution and replacement of support insulators if required. c) Tightening up of all bus bar connections, cable connections, replace bolt, nuts wherever required.

Material and labour for disconnecting and taking down existing bus bars system from LT panel board of all size cleaning with CT, removing old insulation and providing new heat shrink insulating sleeves as per the site requirements, connecting and fixing in the same panel with new nuts, bolts, washers of suitable size complete all as specified and as directed. a) Cleaning the inside switch gear chambers for removing dust and carbon including cleaning with the help of blower and apply insulating varnish. b) Check the condition of the support insulators including cleaning applying Dr beck red for better IR values and replacement of support insulators if required and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. c) Tightening up of all bus bar connections, cable connections, replace nut/bolts & washers wherever required.

Material and labour disconnecting and taking out old existing burnt/worn out control wiring connections incl cable lugs of LT panel board of all size and supply and connect with new cable PVC insulated, stranded copper conductor size as per existing incl new copper lugs and nuts, bolts, washers as per the site requirements complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for disconnecting and taking out old existing burnt/worn out cable lugs, nuts, bolts, washers etc as per the site requirements from LT panel board of all size (incomming and outgoing) and supply and connect with new aluminium lugs and nuts, bolts, washers etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking out old existing worn out neoprene gasket from shutters of LT panel board of all sizes single door / double doors or openable on both sides and supply and fix new neoprene gasket complete all as specified and directed. NOTE :- The rate of neoprene gasket is included in the unit cost.

Note for Item No 35.00 to 39.00 :- (i) Contractor should visit the site before quoting the rate. (ii) Rates including for any modifications/frame work and renewal/welding work during maint. (iii) Minor spares like cleaning/lubricating and cleaning materials, nut bolts, washers, lugs/glands etc included in the unit rate and major spares will be measured and paid under relevant items of schedule (iv) Contractor should take proper shutdown from MES rep and should take all safety precautions of equipments and manpower. Any damage of dept assets will be the responsibilites of contractor. (v ) All T&P, safety equipments required for completion the job included in the unit rate.
