M&L for Maintenance and servicing of standby DG Set complete including draining out of diesel from tank , cleaning the tank thoroughly and refilling the drained out diesel, draining out engine oil from the sump, cleaning the sump thoroughly and refilling the sump with new engine oil to required level, replacing the fuel filter, lubricating oil filter, checking & cleaning air cleaner, changing air cleaner elements, checking coolant level & topping up the same, draining the fuel filter & water separator, filling the starting batteries with electrolyte/distilled water to maintain the required specific gravity, replacement of the u/s brass connectors for batteries, cleaning of battery terminals & applying petroleum jelly to battery terminal posts & brass connectors, including M & L for V Belts, checking of exhaust leakage, governor, breathers etc, adjust/set the same for proper functioning of DG Set, checking of fuel, oil and water/ coolant level etc, adjusting and keeping the fan belts to the desired tension, tightening all the bolts and nuts to the required torque etc, cleaning the DG Set with accessories as prescribed by the manufacturer and testing for satisfactory running of DG set for two hour at connected load and record shall be made in respect of RPM , oil pressure , oil temperature , coolant temperature, voltage , frequency , load current , battery charging , fuel consumption etc complete all as specified and directed. for DG Set of Capacities 10 to 50 KVA. Make of DG Set Kirloskar/Cummins/Ashok Layland /CG/Sudhir NOTE:- (a). Engine oil for refilling will be measured & paid separately. (b). Coolant for make up will be measured & paid separately (c). Repair/maintenance of existing control panel of DG set by replacing the connected items such as leads, copper wire, thimble , Analogue Ammeter, Analogue voltmeter, frequency meter etc. along with other minor parts required for carrying out maintenance complete all as directed. Note- Parts of control panel such as Ammeter, Voltmeter and frequency meter shall be measured and paid separately at supply only rates here-in-after.

(b) The contractor shall depute adequate AC mechanic and helper (As per complaint) with all connected tools on daily basis (if required) with suitable vehicle & T&P arrangement for repairs and to attend the complaint in various units under AOR of GE Shillong and manage all spares included in this CA in advance or as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (c) A recovery of Rs 500/- shall be levied and recovered for non attending the complaint within 48 hrs.
