JOB WORK FOR CONSULTANCY FOR STRUCTURAL DESIGN AUGMENTATION OF GROUND WATER PUMPING, STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION ARRANGEMENTS INCLUDING REUTILISATION OF WASTE WATER FROM RO PLANT AT INS AGRANI COIMBATORE

To carryout the structural design of 20000 ltr UG sump, 50000 ltr UG sump & pump house for the above work based on architecture drawings (for reference only) provided by the department and other datas like soil investigation report etc :-

Consultancy firm has to submit structural drawings, calculation sheet one original set on autocad (soft copy as well as hard copy). The structural engineers of the consultant should discuss drawings and all the design parameters with officer detailed for the purpose before proceeding with the actual work.

The design of the building shall be scientifically designed using latest codal provision/engineering practices and should be economically efficient and grade shall be M-30 and steel FE-500D as per relevant IS. Load combination shall be as per IS-875, IS-1893, IS-4326,IS-13920 and IS-456:2000 (latest version). Importance factor shall be as per relevant IS clause pertaining to seismic provisions. The design shall be done preferably on STAAD Pro. or latest version of ETABS. The confirmation for use of software shall be obtained from AGE(I) Agrani,Coimbatore.

The consultant should be available at any mid-term review of design requirement during currency of work due to site requirements. In case of any defects/damage detected in the designed infrastructure during its design life and if the same is attributed to faulty drawing/design, the consultant will be held responsible and financially liable for the same.

The vetting of designs and drawings and its report should be from the designated institute (dulysigned by authorised signatory on behalf of the institute) and not from a professor/individual of the institute in his personal capacity. The third party vetting the designs and drawings shall also be liable for ensuring that the design and drawings are in compliance as per sound engineering practices, adherence to NBC norms, statutory orders and regulations and relevant IS codes etc for which the consultant shall be equally responsible. The vetting agency will also be liable and answerable for any design defficiencies detected during design life of the building and may be called upon to address such issues if any.

A certificate in which all details have been thoroughly checked and are in compliance to standards, codes, regulations in respect of safety, soundness and economy should be obtained from the vetting agencies and submitted.

The consultant shall submit the following documents in proper presentable form in soft and hard copies to AGE(I) Agrani Coimbatore:- a. Input data file of STAAD/ETABS b. Design philosophy and listof codes and BIS publication followed. c. Design calculation, detailed load calculation and final report in soft & hard copy (3 copies) d. Structural drawings in autoCAD e. All structural drawings (one original set in tracing along with 3 copies including foundation plan, floor plan, roof plan, sectional details, typical details etc. The position of beams and columns and all relevant drawings) f. The above said certificate shall be submitted from vetting authority g. Quote should be on lump sum basis h. Architectural drawing attached is for reference only j. Report and all drawings are to be prepared as for lump sum contract k. Report will be deemed complete only on submission of all items as per scope and formal approval of accepting officer

NOTES:- (a) Cost involving in visiting to HQ CWE(NW) Kochi/work site in connection with consultant work is deemed to be included in lump sum quoted by the firm till final completion of the construction work. The lump sum quoting shall also include cost towards vetting by IIT/NIT/IISC/Govt Engineering College (b) Consultant may be required to give clarification/site visit on required basis during execution. Nothing extra shall be admissible on this account (c) All drawings and other related details are to be made as for lump sum contract and submitted along with the report no delayed submission is permitted. (d) 80% payment shall be made on completion of structural drawings and balance 20% will be paid on physical completion of entire work by main contractor (e) Design philosophy and list of IS code referred shall be submitted to E2 before progressing analysis and design work.
