Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

The contractor shall quote item wise rates in the tender and the same will holds good till the works are completed. The rates quoted by the bidder will be exclusive of all Taxes like GST etc., The bidder should visit the work spot at his own cost before quoting his rates

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

No materials will be supplied departmentally. The bidder has to make their own arrangement for procurement of required materials, arranging electricity, water supply etc. to complete the work

The rates/prices quoted by the bidder shall be fixed for the duration of the contract

Bid shall remain valid for a period of 180 days from the date of opening of price Bid

Conditional bidder is liable for rejection without assigning any reasons there off

The successful bidder shall bind himself to abide by the rules and specifications in force & he should produce all the original certificates for verification which are scanned at the time of quoting the tender and shall execute the necessary agreement on Non judicial stamp paper of prescribed amount within seven days from the date of intimation of acceptance of his bid, failing which his bid will be cancelled unconditionally, and his earnest money deposit will be forfeited. In addition they would also be responsible for making good the extra expenditure that would be incurred in inviting fresh bid for the work

Quantities given in the notification and schedule are approximate and are liable to increase or decrease

The work should not be sub-let

The Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Employer at the rate 0.1 percentage of the contract price per day stated in the Contract Data for each day that the Completion Date is later than the Intended Completion Date. The total amount of liquidated damages shall not exceed 10 percent of the final contract price as defined in the Contract Data. The Employer may deduct liquidated damages from payments due to the Contractor. Payment of liquidated damages does not affect the Contractors liabilities

The bidder has to pay compensation of the disabled or deceased workmen under him for any injury or death caused during the execution of works, failing which the necessary amount will be deducted from the bills and paid to the injured or deceased

Time is the essence of contract and the extension to the stipulated period of completion will not be accorded. The bidder has to be arrange sufficient men, machinery & materials so that, the work can be completed within the Stipulated period

The statutory taxes and levies, 1 percentage (one percent) of the bill amount will be deducted from the contractors bills towards Construction Workers Well fare Cess as per Government Order dated 18-1-2007

KPTCL reserves the right to reject or accept the tender without assigning any reasons there for Conditional tender will not be accepted
