PROVN OF GRID BASED FALSE CEILING AND WALL CLADDING IN THE ANNEXES OF HANGER NO P-1153 AND P- 1154 UNDER GE (NORTH) BATHINDA AT BATHINDA MIL STN

Providing and fixing linear metal false ceiling comprising 150 mm wide × 17 mm deep × 0.50 mm thick galvanized steel plain panels in lengths up to 5.0 m, manufactured from coil-coated steel on a continuous paint line, chromatized for maximum paint adhesion, double enamelled under high temperature, with exposed face having primer and finish coat of minimum 20 microns thickness and reverse face having primer and skin coat; including panel couplers wherever required. The ceiling system shall be suspended from roof/truss using 20 mm × 20 mm suspension angles and 1.20 mm thick galvanized steel T-levellers for height adjustment at spacing not exceeding 1.0 m centre-to-centre. The panels shall be fixed on roll-formed galvanized steel carriers of size 34.5 mm wide × 48 mm deep, fabricated from 0.60 mm thick galvanized steel strip, supplied in standard lengths of 2.44 m, black stove-enamelled/spray-painted, including carrier couplers for joining carriers. The work shall also include L-shaped edge profiles roll-formed from 0.50 mm thick galvanized steel strips, coil-coated/powder-coated in standard colours, complete with all fixtures, fasteners, suspension members, accessories, cutting, making good, and all operations necessary for proper installation, complete in all respects and as directed. Note : The area shall be measured on the finished ceiling surface in square metres. No separate payment shall be made for suspension system, carriers, couplers, edge trims, hangers, fasteners, wastage, cutting, or any incidental items required for completion of the work.

Material and labour for mild steel framed work/truss work, fabricated from hollow square, rectangular or round pipes (ERW or induction butt welded tubes conforming to relevant IS specifications), or built-up sections using angles, channels, beams, flats, tees, plates, distance pieces, cleats, brackets, gusset plates, etc., cut to shape, drilled, countersunk, bent, welded, riveted and assembled as required for trusses, main and cross beams, hip and jack rafters, purlins connected to common rafters and other structural members, complete with all connections, cleats, gusset plates, welding, riveting and fixing arrangements, conforming to Grade Fe-410-W (Grade E-250 Quality A) steel, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Sketches/design calculations of trusses and details of steel sections proposed to be used shall be submitted and approved in writing by the Engineer-in-Charge before commencement of fabrication and erection.

Material and labour for preparing new steel and iron surfaces of any description, not otherwise specified, exceeding 10 cm in width or girth, including cleaning, removing dust, dirt, grease, rust scales and other foreign matter, and applying one coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer followed by two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved shade and quality, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing aluminium composite panels (ACP) 4 mm thick, of approved make, shade and finish, fixed to the aluminium framework with suitable stainless steel screws, rivets, cleats, brackets, structural adhesive, pressure-sensitive tape or other approved fixing arrangements as recommended by the manufacturer, including cutting, grooving, bending, edge finishing, sealing of joints, providing necessary accessories and making good all disturbed surfaces, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Aluminium framework, if measured separately under relevant items, shall not be included in this item.

Supply and fixing aluminium anodised/powder-coated frame work fabricated from aluminium sections/channels of approved profile and size, for doors, windows, ventilators, partitions and similar works, with one or more rebates, including cutting, machining, mitring, assembling, fixing of jointing cleats, brackets, screws, anchors, fasteners and all necessary fittings and accessories, finished with powder coating of approved colour having a minimum coating thickness of 50 microns, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The weight of aluminium sections/channels incorporated in the work shall be physically ascertained at site by a Board of Officers convened by the Accepting Officer, and payment shall be made based on the actual verified weight only.

Supply and fixing 2.0 mm thick fibre glass reinforced translucent corrugated/plain sheeting, of approved quality, fixed to roof, wall cladding or similar surfaces with necessary overlaps, side laps and end laps, using coach screws, bitumen/neoprene washers, hooks, fasteners and fixing accessories as required, including cutting to size, drilling holes, sealing joints and making good all disturbed surfaces, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for point wiring complete with 1.5 sqmm nominal area PVC insulated, unsheathed, multi-stranded copper conductor FRLSH cable (ISI marked), drawn in and including new concealed rigid PVC conduit of suitable size, for one light point or one fan point controlled by one switch, including provision of 1.5 sqmm single-core multi-stranded FRLSH copper earth continuity conductor connected to the common earth and earth dolly, complete with M.S. sunken box suitable for modular base plate and top cover for mounting modular switches, sockets and accessories, including all fittings, accessories, junctions, bends, tees, inspection boxes, saddles, draw wire, cutting chases, making good disturbed surfaces and connections, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per Item No. 7 here-in-before, but providing and wiring for one 3/5 pin socket outlet, 5 Amps, mounted on the same switch board, wired with 1.5 sqmm PVC insulated, unsheathed, multi-stranded copper conductor FRLSH cable (ISI marked) including necessary connections, terminals, accessories and connection to earth continuity conductor, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing modular switch, 6 Amps, 250 Volts, one way, single module, of approved make and quality, suitable for modular switch plate system, including fixing on existing/ new modular base frame, connection with existing wiring terminals, screws, clamps and all necessary accessories, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing modular socket outlet, multipurpose 3/5 pin, 6 Amps, 250 Volts, two module, of approved make and quality, suitable for modular plate system, including fixing on existing/new modular base frame, complete with necessary terminals, screws, connectors, and all accessories required for proper connection with wiring system, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
