To depute service representative minimum for 01 visit to attend the DG set at frequency as per schedule or after 250 working hours. Service Representative will Carry scheduled preventative maintenance checks on Diesel Generating Set (of any make ) and carry out the the undermention Jobs during his visit for DG Set 25 KVA to 30 KVA.

(A) Check List for minimum core of work

Check the sample of coolant concentration

Check the fan belt for tension and inspect it. If needs any replacement

Check the exhaust mani fold out let

Examine the charge level of the battery and check for any loose connection

Check the air cleaner components and clear them if any dirt occures

Check and adjust the voltage level of the battery charger

Drain out water from the container of the bottom of the filter housing and fuel tank

Checking of control panels wiring, instrumentation, contactor fuses etc.

Check the serviceability of safety controls of engine

Checking of all electrical connections for its proper tightness

Check AVR connections & power cable connections for tightness

Check the RPM/frequency and adjust it.

Check the condition of wire breaded/nonbreaded hoses of engine.

Checking of load balancing of alternator/AMF panel output

Dis-connecting the fuel pipes from the Fuel Injection Pump Assembly, taking out the FIP assembly from the engine body and transporting to the workshop to carry out the following for DG of 25 to 30 KVA (i) Dis-mantling the complete FIP, taking out all the parts, cleaning the internal/external surfaces of the pump (ii) replaceing the suction & delivery valves, rollers and other worn out parts. (iii ) Assembling the parts, filling correct grade of oil ,testing for smooth functioning. (iv) Calibrating the FIP for correct fuel pressure. (v) Transporting the FIP from the workshop to site and fitting the FIP assy to the engine.

Repair overhalling of self starter including replacement of worn out clutch assembly bush, spring, plunger assembly ,solenide switch, corbon brushs, spring etc for the following DG set.

Dis-connecting the alternator from the engine by removing the coupling, transporting the alternator complete to workshop for repairs: upto 63 KVA (i) Rewinding and Cleaning the armature complete, applying one coat of varnish and heating complete (ii) replacing the damaged rectifier unit including filter circuit elements complete. (iii ) replacing the wornout carbon brushes – 01 set Assembling the alternator complete at workshop and testing at NO load , transporting the same to the site , connecting the alternator to the engine after proper alignment including replacement of coupling , key complete all as directed by the engineer in charge.

Dis-connecting the alternator from the engine by removing the coupling, transporting the alternator complete to authorized maintenance service center for repairs: 100 to 250 KVA (i) Rewinding and Cleaning the armature complete, applying one coat of varnish and heating complete (ii) replacing the damaged rectifier unit including filter circuit elements complete. Repair of existing street light of any type or discription, fixed in vertical position with poles/wall including disconnecting the electric connection, removing from pole/wall if required, carrying out minor repairs like disconection of wire/cable, cleaning of carbon on OH line and replacing starter,fuses,drivers,lens plate, choke, bulb,etc as required at site to make the items functional and refixing the same at same location or any other location, connecting with electric feeder and testing for functioning engaging sufficient man power and tool and plant etc to ensure safety of light/pole as well as working persons complete all as specified and directed.
