Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal)

M&L for premix bituminous macadam, mixed with binder content (paving bitumen VG-30) 4% by weight of total mix, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less).

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-30) at 5 Kgs/10 Sqm of road surface using paving bitumen.

M&L for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen VG-30 (by weight of total mix) using 6 to 8% waste plastic by weight of bitumen content (only plastic conforming to Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), PET and Polyurethane conform to the size passing 2.36 mm sieve and retained on 600 micron sieve shall be used) and not to be heated more than 180°C while mixing. Waste plastic mixing should be done using dry process as per para 6.1 of IRC:SP:98-2013. The waste plastic will not be provided by the department and the contractor to refer IRC:SP:98-2013 before quoting the rates. The mix shall be laid with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 ton power roller and tandom vibratory roller all as specified.

M&L for cleaning the road surfaces of dirts, seals, oil grease, and foreign materials etc. and applying 2.5mm thick marking strips/lines, dashes, arrows, (retro reflective) of white or yellow colour using hot thermo plastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paints applicator machine fitted with profile shoe glass beads dispencer, propan tank heater and profile shoe heater drive by operator on existing/ new road surfaces complete all as specified and directed. (glass beads shall not be less than 300 gms per sqm).
