Note for Pre-painted coloured Galvalume roofing :-
(i) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate for the chemical and mechanical properties of sheet must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.
(ii) The painting shall be coloured baked enamel polyester with silicon coating of film thickness 25 microns nominal on the exposed face/exterior side and on the reverse side ( interior face) shall be white with 15 microns film thickness, over a coat of 5 micron nominal thickness Primer.
(iii) The contractor shall produce purchase vouchers for each lot for verification of Engineer-in-Charge.
Checking of floor, plinth, plaster etc requiring masonry work and carrying out minor repairs such as edges, patches etc, including petty repairs material like sand, cement & aggregate to make it functional complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The rates for plastering / plinth include for: (a) Preparing the surfaces. (b) Thickness of plaster/plinth key in joints, etc. (c) Anises, chamfers of any width, internal rounded angles upto 80mm in width or girth external rounded angles upto 80mm in width or girth. (d) All materials, labour and equipment & supply of integral waterproofing compound, (e) Scoring surface of plastering for key, where the surface is not required to be finished fair. (f) Plastering in patches (in repairs), exc 3 sq.m each patch, for preparing old walls to receive plastering'. Nothing extra shall be admissible for matching with existing work etc. (g) Any individual patch (other than nail hole, plug hole, etc.) are included for provided existing surface finish .
Dismantling timber scantling 40 Sqcm and over in section in any position in un-framed work complete all as specified and directed.

Note for item No. 69 & 70 :- (a) All synthetic enamel paint, plastic emulsion paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.
(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.
(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.
(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)
(e ) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE
(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.
(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.
(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.
Taking down shutters of any description exc 1.0 Sq.m and n.exc 2.0 Sq.m each complete all as specified and directed.

Factory made solid panel PVC door shutters 30 mm thick (style) consisting of frame made out of M.S. tubes for top & bottom rails. Note : (a) Record of complaints/complaint slip showing qtr No, bldgs No, nature of job supported with users signature shall be prepared as per format directed by Engr-in-charge & will be deposited to concerned JE (B/R) within 24 hrs, failing which a sum of Rs. 50.00 per day will be recovered from the contractor. (b) Necessary complaints slip/complaints register & other stationary required shall be contractor responsibility. (c) The contractor shall maintain a record of all urgent/ routine works and if the work is repeated due to poor workmanship, he will be liable to repair the same without any extra expenditure to the Govt. (d) In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 12 hrs after handing over routine/urgent complaints, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under.
(e) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Cahrge more than twelve hrs after handing over works of urgent/ routine nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Charge shall handover the slip containing specification of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip. The contractor shall attend the complaint immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge with in 12 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine / urgent works from the executive. If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more then twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 50/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. (f) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
