Wire brushing and cleaning top surface of tiles, cement concrete, including flashings and junction of parapets including taking out grass roots/vegetation etc., from existing roof surfaces and cleaning the surface after drying from dirt, mortar, dust mortar buds, algae and all other foreign matter and brushed and wiped, complete all as specified and as directed.

Applying evenly a tack coat of industrial bitumen 85/[email protected]/Sqm to the cleaned concrete surfaces (before laying APP and after laying APP under Srl item 40 here-under), complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing APP modified Polymeric five layered membrane with central core 100 micron high molecular high density polyethylene film, minimum weight of membrane will be 3.6 Kg/Sqm. APP membrane will be laid across the slope from lowest line of roof towards ridge with over laps of 75mm in length side and 100mm on the width side of membrane bonded with hot blown bitumen. Over the APP membrane apply semi hot blown 85/25 penetration grade bitumen conforming to IS- 702 @ 1.2 Kg/Sqm and blinded with fine sand in dry condition @ 0.50Kg/Sqm dusted over the bitumen coat. Provide final layer of two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of primer as per manufacturer's instructions, complete all as specified and as directed.

GI frame work for seamless ceiling comprising of GI perimeter channel 0.55mm thick with two unequal flanges of 20 and 30mm and web of 27mm fixed to surrounding wall using nylon sleeves and screws at 450mm centre to centre/intermediate channel 0.9mm thick having equal flanges of 15mm each and web of 45mm suspended from soffit at approx 900mm centre to centre with GI cleat and steel expansion fasteners with and including ceiling section (not exc 1.2m length) of 0.55mm thickness having kurled web of 50mm and flange of 26mm each with lips of 10.5mm fixed to the intermediate channel at 457mm centre to centre and Hangers 6mm dia GI (upto 1200mm length) adjusting level fixed to roof slabs by means of ceiling cleats made out of GI flat 40 x 3mm size 60mm long and expansion hold fasteners 12.5mm dia, 40mm long, complete all as specified and as directed.

50mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate, as in sub base to receive topping layer finished even and rough, complete all as specified and as directed.

No payment will be released to contrator without producing the proper record.

NOTE:- Irrespective of whatever specified elsewhere in tender documents, all the debris/waste materials produced out of above mentioned work shall be removed out of Cantonement land and disposed off at locations notified by the Delhi Cantonment Board for disposal of waste building materials within NCR area, without any extra cost to Department under own arrangement of contractors. The rates quoted by the contractors against the items catered here-in-above in the BOQ are inclusive of said provision.
