Rotary boring/ drilling of ‘SX’ size holes to log and collect samples through all kinds of soils vertically with adequate and suitable equipment for depths below existing ground level as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: The quoted rate shall include the following: 1. General clearance of site and removal of shrubs, bushes etc required to commence the boring/ drilling operation & in-situ tests in bore holes and clearance of site after completion of work. 2. Making temporary access roads to the boring/ drilling locations from existing approach roads to site. 3. Mobilization and Demobilization of minimum two sets of suitable boring and drilling rigs of hydraulic type, including necessary drilling rods, pumps, miscellaneous equipments, tools, spares, consumables etc. adequate for each set of plant, survey equipment, etc. Additional rigs and equipment shall be mobilized if needed for timely completion of the work at contractor’s own cost. 4. Marking the drill hole locations on ground by actual survey as per the drawing, shifting and setting up of rig at each bore hole location including staging, platform, earthwork, anchoring etc. all complete. 5. Deployment of technical, skilled, semi skilled & unskilled man power required for carrying out the complete work as per specifications & drawings. 6. Measurement of ground water level as per specifications & drawings. 7. Maintenance of drilling records and submission of final geological logs in hardcopy as well as soft copy. 8. Report submission of the surveys, tests, investigation and foundation parameters: Preparation and submission of comprehensive draft ( 2 Copies ) and final (6 copies) reports of all the tests, field investigations, surveys, laboratory tests etc. in the scope of this tender as detailed in various schedules, specifications, drawings inclusive of bore logs , survey of discontinuities, Compilation, interpretation, analysis of the data, recommendations of the foundation system and foundation design parameters including deriving spring constant as per AERB Guide no. AERB /NPP/SG/CSE-2. Final report shall be submitted after the draft copy is approved by the Engineer-in-charge. Also submission of draft ( 2 Copies) interim reports of all the tests / field investigations carried out as detailed in specifications inclusive of bore logs , results of tests including their soft copies and 3 copies of the approved interim report as soon as a particular tests , investigation, surveys are completed. Report shall be submitted in soft copies as well as hard copies. The Report shall be independently proof checked by Geotechnical expert from Institutes like IITs, IISc, NIRM, CSMRS, etc., before submission to be approved by Engineer-in-charge.
