Clearing grass and removal of rubbish upto a distance of 50 M outside the periphery of the area

Earthwork in excavation by mechanical means (hydraulic excavator)/ manual means over areas(exceeding 10 sqm. in plan & 1.5 m in width) at all depths in all type of strata comprising any of the materials such as soil, silt, sand, clay, gravels, moorum of all varieties, shingles, pebbles including existing bituminous ,concrete layers on top of the road and all such other materials as described under appendix to these specifications whether in full or in parts as the case may be adopting any approved method or methods as may be convenient or permitted inclusive of chiselling, wedging etc. in all conditions such as dry, moist, saturated, submerged, foul conditions etc. including pumping or bailing out water , dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, stacking the boulders at a place specified by the Engineer on site etc. complete. (N.B. : Utility service lines encountered during excavation shall be repaired if damaged at no extra cost and also it is to ensure that they are kept free of debris during execution.)

Refilling the pipeline/foundation trenches plinth sides, foundation etc. with available excavated earth in layers not exceeding 20 cm depth consolidating each layer ramming and watering lead upto 50 M and all lifts and disposal of surplus earth as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Supplying and filling in plinth under floors, trenches including watering ramming consolidating, dressing, complete. (b) Moorum

Carting away of the debris away from the site including loading in to truck unloading upto 10 kms away from the site as per directions of the architect/ Engineer in-charge.

Providing and laying integral cement based treatment (Box type) for water proofing on horizontal surface at all depth below ground level for under ground structures as directed by Engineer and consisting of : i) Ist layer of 20 mm to 25 mm thick approved and specified rough stone slab over a 25 mm thick base of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS:2645 in the recommended proportion over the leveling course (leveling course to be paid separately).
