Applying stamping finish to the top surface of freshly laid plain/reinforced cement concrete of specified grade in porticos, sidewalks, driveways, pool decks and open yards as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. The process shall include the following: a) The concrete shall be placed and screeded to the finish grade and floated to a uniform surface by using standard finishing techniques. b)The non-metallic hardner in approved colour @2.7 kg/sqm shall be applied evenly to the surface of the fresh concrete by dry shake method by sprinkling in two or more shakes, floated after each shake and trowlled only after the final floating. c) The approved release agent @ 0.113kg/sqm shall be applied evenly to the trowlled surface before stamping or the said release agent can be applied to the flexible polyurethane stamp moulds of approved design and in required size to achieve final stamped pattern. d) These stamping shall be placed on the surface of concrete in three to four pieces at a time and tapped gently with rammers of sufficient size and weight to leave proper stamps and the process repeated for the remaining concrete surfaces till the whole surface to be stamped is completed within the time while concrete is in plastic stage of setting. e) After stamping, the curing shall be done as per manufacture's specifications. After initial curing the imprinted joints shall be grouted using cement slurry mixed with matching colour hardner as per the instruction of EIC. f)The surface shall be sealed by applying acrylic based sealer not less than 0.167 litre/ sqm on the finished surface. g) The construction joints shall be provided by groove cutting of size 4mm x 20mm in panel size 3m x 3m or lesser as per the site conditions and filling the same with 10mm baker rod and providing and laying Polyurethane (PU) based joint sealer of approved make as per manufacturer's specifications and finished by applying Polyurethane resin based top protective clear coat of minimum 80 micron thickness, applied by rollers on properly cured and dry clean surface. Note: Cost of concrete for above flooring is not included in this item and it shall be paid separately under relevant item of concrete.
Providing and installing waterproofing system for terrace joints on pre-existing membrane/wood/other porous substrates/metal substrates/glass substrates/membrane waterproofing using 2-component, pigmented waterproofing resin with polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) base reinforced with special fleece to provide watertight joints which becomes rainproof after 30 mins of application, having certifications like ETAG 005 for durability, CE Certification, Root resistance as per FLL standard, Fire proof as per EN 13501 etc. Surface preparation includes cleaning of sound concrete surface to remove loose dust, dirt etc., mix and apply suitable primer as per substrate using suitable brush/roller at below mentioned coverage, allow the primer to cure for min 45 mins, prepare coating by adding activator @ 20 gm/Kg and mix using slow speed drill for min 2-3 mins, apply first coat by using suitable brush/roller coverage @ 1.5 kg/m2, fixing of perforated polyester fleece while coating is still wet, allow the first coat to cure for 45 min, followed by application of final coat coverage @ 1.5 kg/m2. System exhibits properties like Shore A Hardness- 75, Tear resistance-150 N/mm, Elongation-> 30 %, water vapour diffusion resistance-10000 m. Primer Consumption as per Surface: 1. Recommended for concrete, membrane, wood, and other porous substrates at coverage 0.35-0.45 kg/m2. 2. Recommended for metal surface at coverage 80-100 ml/m2. 3. Recommended for glass substrates at coverage 50-60 ml/m2. 4. Recommended over waterproofing membranes like TPO, FPO, EPDM etc. at coverage 100-120 ml/m2.
