GROUND IMPROVEMENT : STONE COLUMNS & STONE BLANKET LAYER: All Supply, Fabrication, Erection, Construction, Testing works shall be performed as per AFC Drawings, Project Specifications, Project Standards, General Notes, Indian Codes, etc., (NOTE: For Item Sr. No. inside Item Description, Bidder to refer the price schedule attached with Tender as PART II PRICED SECTION)
SITE CLEARING : Grubbing, scrubbing & clearing the areas, removal of roots / boulders, breaking clods, making up the hollow produced by removal of roots / boulders with available earth, clearing the site of all objectionable / unserviceable materials by means of manual or mechanical excavation as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. Including loading, transport, unloading and disposal of the unserviceable material at designated areas within the plant boundary and leveling the same.
GENERAL INSTRUCTION : Designing & providing all material, tools, tackles and constructing stone columns as specified, and to control settlements, as per design, guidelines, material specifications, construction methods given in Job supply specification. Mobilisation of adequate number of rigs, tools, tackles, plant, equipment etc. and all accessories required for the construction of the stone columns/ ground improvement as per specifications and demobilising the same after the works are complete.
GROUND IMPROVEMENT USING STONE COLUMNS: STONE COLUMNS BELOW SHALLOW FOUNDATION FOR ENHANCEMENT OF NET SBC & LIQUEFACTION MITIGATION Provide and construct stone columns as per design drawings of length upto 7.5 M below bottom of Stone / sand layer provided beneath foundation (2.5m below FGL) including drilling for all depths, all material supply,loading, transpornt, unloading, placing & ramming well graded stone aggregates, labour etc. all complete as per specifications, as per approved design drawings, Quality control & Inspection, in all types of soils, to improve the existing net safe bearing capacity of soil to required SBC and limiting the settlement to 25mm (post erection of structures) (to be proven by initial and routine load tests specified in Job Supply specification) for Shallow foundation with liquefaction mitigation of soil layers as per geotechnical report. On completion of ground improvement, clearing the site to start the Foundation works also included in this scope. (Unit of measurement : Length as built of stone column per diameter, measured from actual Cut off level (COL) to the depth indicated on records.)

DESIGN CALCULATIONS Provide design calculations depicting desired net SBC and mitigation of liquefaction & method to achieve the same in line with specification TP-1ZZZA-CV-SPE-0040-D1 for buildings/sheds as per scope of work and for item nos 4.1 to 4.3, 5.1 to 5.3, 6.1 to 6.3, 7.1 to 7.3. Also, provide each building stone columns layout for item no. 4.1 to 4.3, 5.1 to 5.3, 6.1 to 6.3, 7.1 to 7.3 for OWNER/MPMC approval before start of execution
Approval of IIT or NIT or Government College of Engineering for item no.8 before start of execution
STONE COLUMNS TESTING
To carry out specified no. of initial load tests on single columns (at 1.5 times design load as per clause 3.5 of IS15284 part 1. Contributory area for Design load should be calculated in line with clause 7.4 of IS15284 part 1) at specified locations as given by the MPMC/OWNER as per Job Supply specifications TP-1ZZZA-CV-SPE-0040-D1 with necessary kentledge etc. complete in all respects and making a report thereof to confirm achievement of net SBC as per scope of work for item 4.1 to 4.3, 5.1 to 5.3 and 6.1 to 6.3
To carry out vertical plate initial load tests on ground within a group of three adjacent stone columns (at 1.5 times design load as per clause 3.5 of IS15284 part 1. Contributory area for Design load should be calculated in line with clause 7.4 of IS15284 part 1) at specified locations as given by the MPMC/OWNER as per Job Supply spec TP-1ZZZA-CV-SPE-0040-D1. to confirm achievement of net SBC as per scope of work for item 4.1 to 4.3, 5.1 to 5.3 and 6.1 to 6.3

Contributory area for Design load should be calculated in line with clause 7.4 of IS15284 part 1) at specified locations as given by the MPMC/OWNER as per Job Supply spec TP-1ZZZA-CV-SPE-0040-D1. and making a report thereof to confirm achievement of net SBC as per scope of work for item 4.1 to 4.3,5.1 to 5.3 and 6.1 to 6.3
To carry out vertical plate routine load tests on ground within a group of three adjacent stone columns(at 1.1 times design load as per clause 3.6 of IS15284 part 1. Contributory area for Design load should be calculated in line with clause 7.4 of IS15284 part 1) at specified locations as given by the consultant/client as per Job Supply spec. and making a report thereof to confirm achievement of net SBC as per scope of work for item 4.1 to 4.3,5.1 to 5.3 and 6.1 to 6.3
Conducting Electric Static cone penetration test (ECPT) conforming to ASTM D5778-20 for specified minimum treatment depth as per design or minimum design depth of 10M which ever is more, to specify N-Value for item no.4.1 to 4.3,5.1 to 5.3 and 6.1 to 6.3, as per requirements given in IS13094:1992 clause 9.2 at specified depths to confirm improvement in N-value to nullify liquefaction potential & get the desired net SBC.
Stone Sand Blanket (Applicable only below shallow foundation with SBC improvement) The stone sand blanket shall be laid over the top of the stone columns at required level for minimum 500mm thickness or as per the governing design criteria and will be compacted to a relative dry density of 85 percent. Compaction shall be carried out with rollers or by any other suitable mechanical equipment. Stone / Sand shall be laid in layers of 150mm and compacted to achieve desired compaction. The Stone Sand Blanket shall be constructed with mixture of 75 mm and down stone aggregates and well graded medium to coarse sand of Fineness Modulus not less than 2.2 mixed in the ratio of 2:1 (2 Stone Aggregates: 1 sand).
EXCAVATION: Earth work in excavation for all kind of Soil including black cotton soil, soft and hardmurrum, sand, gravel, soil containign small pebbbles, rubble, boulders, removable without breacking/blasting, marshy land and road shoulders etc., which can be loosened manually or mechanically operating tackels such as pick shovels, front loader (as defined in IS 1200) etc., for all types of of foundations/footings, plinth beams, pile caps or any other substructures, as pr approved design drawings, including all labour, materials, dressing of sides, pumping & bailing out water accumulated due to rain and / or subsoil waters and including disposal or stacking, leveling and neatly dressing as decided by Engineer-in-Charge including providing temporary supports to existing service lines like water pipes, sewerage, electric cables, etc., if any, complete, including shoring/ strutting /sheet pile, all materials and labour complete and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge for following depth. Dewatering system supply, installtion of number of wells, pumps and all associated works complete, maintenance, etc., from Start of excation works till Stone Column works execution and testing are completed and as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. Rate for de-commissioning of dewatering system shall also be considered. Excavated soil shall be disposed at least up to the distance of 500 meter from the plant Boundary for backfilling and the charges for the same is included in this item. (Mode of measurement shall be as per foot print area of PCC/stone blanet dimensions) - From grade level upto 2.0m depth
EXCAVATION All activities and scope same as 10 but for excavation below 2m and upto 4m below existing gorund level.
TRANSPORTATION Transportation of surplus earth/debris, muck, marsh,vegetation remains to dumping area outside site Carting the surplus excavated earth/rocks and debris from construction area beyond the initial lead of 500 meters to the approved dumping area outside the plant boundary at any distance from the site, including re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, transportation, loading, unloading, laying at all depths/heights, stacking, levelling and dressing both the area (viz. from where the earth is carted and where it is deposited) to required levels and slopes complete with all lifts. Including any payment of fee, duties and royalties etc for using the dump. Contractor shall transport surplus earth from Refinery premises and dispose the earth in various locations outside refinery premises as per below SOR item (12.1, 12.2 and 12.3) and scope of work of the tender and as directed by NRL/MPMC as per site requirement . Contractor shall coordinate and liaise with Govt official and statutory department for obtaining Mining Plan under the provision of the Assam Minor Mineral Concession Rules and Environmental Clearance from State Environment Impact Assessment Authority , Assam or any other Statutory body for excavation and transportation of surplus earth generated from construction activities.

Dismantling of existing structures or part at all levels and breaking in to small pieces (suitable for backfilling and disposal) including all leads and lifts, tools, tackles, compressed air, labour, crane, consumables and disposal within refinery premises as directed by Engineer-in- charge
