PART I :CIVIL AND DEVELOPMENT WORKS
Part I-A- Sub Structure works
Earth work excavation over areas by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means to required profile, level, grade, camber etc. in all soils as mentioned below (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.50 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan area) including dressing of excavated area, refilling with approved excavated materials in layers not exceeding 150 mm watering, consolidation to obtain 90% proctor density and stacking / disposing the surplus excavated materials within a lead of 150m including spreading and levelling with all inherent lift etc to the required location etc complete all as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Cement concrete of specified grades at all locations & depths for the following works using graded stone aggregate of 20mm. maximum size including necessary form work, machine mixing, transporting, placing in position consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer in charge. NOTE: a) Reinforcement provided if any shall be measured & paid under relevant item. b) MS frame works around pedestals etc. if provided shall be measured under relevant item. c) Bolt will be fixed by HVAC / Electrical agency including supplying the same. However grouting and finishing etc. shall be carried out by the main civil contractor. d) The dimensions of pedestals/ foundations are likely to vary and rate quoted shall be final without any additional cost to the Department.
PCC of grade M10 in foundation, mudmat course, footing of dwarf wall etc.
PCC of grade M15 in sub base flooring, foundation, pedestals, cable pits, cable trenches, plinth protection etc.
Reinforced Cement Concrete of grade M-30 in foundation and plinth including under ground water tank, storm water drain, culvert, gate and other misc. structures of all at all levels and location conforming to IS: 456-2000 and IS: 13920 using 20mm. maximum size down graded stone aggregate including machine mixing, conveying, placing in position, mechanical consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge NOTE : (Notes for Reinforced Cement Concrete works) a) Cement for structural works shall be OPC/PPC ISI marked and duly approved by the Engineer-in-charge. b) PPC/blended cement of ISI mark shall only be used for finishing works on prior approval of Engineer-in-charge. c) All RCC work shall be controlled concrete unless otherwise specified and shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the drawings and specifications. d)The rates for RCC works shall be exclusive of cost of Reinforcement and Form work unless otherwise mentioned. e) All coarse aggregate is to be of 20mm. maximum size & uniformly graded unless otherwise mentioned. f) The water tank and other tanks shall be executed strictly as per following criteria without any additional cost:- i) The water tank and other tank work shall be executed as per IS 3370 latest editions in addition to other relevant IS code mentioned elsewhere. ii) The minimum cement content for water retaining structures and tanks shall not be less than 330 kg/cum and not more than 400 kg/cum. iii) During construction of raft slab, dewatering shall be continuously carried out to avoid development of water pressure. iv)Dead load in the form of sand bags shall be placed on the raft slab as to counteract the pore pressure until the walls are constructed and back filling is done . Number of sand bags required and time period of loading etc. shall be at the descretion of the Engineer in Charge. g) For all RCC items, the rates quoted shall include the following without any extra cost to the Department :- i) Fixing at correct level and in proper alignment the inserts, pipe sleeves, pipe bends, hooks, puddle flange, other pipe specials and embeded parts etc. supplied by / through the department. ii) Cut outs, nitches, pockets, construction joints etc. h)Test for Concrete shall be done as per IS 456-2000 and the cost of the same shall be borne by the contractor.
For all type of structural / RCC elements with all geometrical shapes.
Extra for providing RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) confirming to IS : 4926 (latest) in lieu of conventional RCC and PCC items supplied by approved RMC manufactures for all type of structural elements/ RCC elements and miscellaneous works including transporting, pumping etc. complete as per instruction of the Engineer in charge. Notes :- i) The contractor shall obtain prior approval of RMC manufacturer from Engineer in Charge in writing. ii) This item shall be measured in addition to the original items of RCC and PCC of any grade mentioned elsewhere in Schedule of Quantities for substructure. iii) The rate shall apply for all levels and locations including all type of structure etc.complete. iv) Extra for RMC in lieu of conventional RCC and PCC of any grade mentioned elsewhere including SWD etc. shall be measured and paid under this item for sub structure
Formwork NOTE: a) Area of form work in contact with concrete shall only be measured for payment and stop boards for construction joints will not be measured for payment. b) The rate of form work shall include all type of structural / RCC elements and geometric shapes including circular and any other curved surfaces. c) For double/ multi stage shuttering design calculations and details / drawings for scaffolding shall be submitted by the contractor well in advance. Prior written approval of form work shall be obtained from Engineer in Charge, before commencement of work. d) Nothing extra shall be entertained for revision in drawings.
Providing, erecting, fixing in position striking /removing and cleaning steel / timber shuttering & centering for form work in foundation, plinth or tie beams, lift pits, cable trenches, electrical pits etc. at all locations for all geometrical shapes in plain, curved surfaces of structural / RCC elements including chamfers, splays, keys, wedges, props, rails, bracings, brackets, cutting holes for pipes etc., providing & applying approved form oil on all surfaces of form work coming in contact with concrete including close hacking of all exposed concrete work after removal of form work, all materials, labour etc. complete as per specifications drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing,erecting, fixing, centering and shuttering work using plyboard to obtain form finished concrete surfaces of F3 finish at all heights and locations including intermediate/multiple staging for all geometrical shapes and designs including chamfers, splays, keys, wedges, props, rails, bracings, brackets cutting hole for pipes etc. providing and applying approved form oil to all surfaces of form work coming in contact with concrete and striking / removal of the same including finishing by filling form-tie-hole, removal of fins, ridges and irregularities by grinding filling air hole with sack rubbed finish, cleaning up of loose adhering debrices including all materials labour etc. all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Reinforcement for RCC work including supplying, delivering, storing of various diameters as required at site of work including loading, unloading, transporting, decoiling, straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position at all locations & levels and binding with 18 gauge, soft drawn annealed steel binding wire including carrying out various tests as required etc. all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer in charge. NOTE: i)The cost of binding wire shall be borne by the contractor and binding wire shall not be measured for payment. ii) Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating shall be carried out as per IS 13620:1993 latest edition. iii) The contractor shall obtain prior written approval in advance from the Engineer in Charge for the factory for Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating of reinforcement steel.
Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coated Thermo Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe 500D manufactured by SAIL, TATA STEEL, JSW and RINL only .
Brick Work Notes for Masonry works:- i)The contractor shall get approved the samples of bricks from the Engineer-In-Charge before procurement on large scale and shall maintain the same for the entire work. ii) The rate shall include cost of making the brick masonry to all geometrical shapes and sizes without any extra cost to the Department. iii) Necessary Openings/ niches/ cut-outs, wherever required as per drawings and asked for by the Engineer-In-Charge, shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost. iv) One brick wall thickness shall be considered as 230mm and lesser wall thickness if any shall be made up to the required dimensions by the contractor in CM 1:4 to proper line, level and plumb without any extra cost to the Department.
Brick masonry work in foundation and plinth, cable pits, trench, steps etc. using well burnt bricks from approved lot of class designation 3.5 (classification as per IS 1077-1992 and min. average compression strength not less than 3.50 N/mm2 ) in C.M 1: 6 to correct line, level and plumb including raking out joints/ simultaneous flush pointing with cement mortar 1:4, curing etc. complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Providing and laying 115 mm thick brick masonry lining work for sides of the beam below the raft slab etc. using well burnt bricks from approved lot, of class designation 3.5 (classification as per IS 1077-1992 and min. average compression strength not less than 3.50 N/mm2 ) in CM 1:4, including finishing to line, level, plumb etc. complete as per specifications & drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Disposing off the surplus excavated materials and debris by mechanical transport, as below :- NOTE: i) Voids @ 20% for soils and 50% for soft / hard rock shall be deducted from fully loaded truck measurements to arrive at the net quantity for payment, in case direct measurement is not possible. ii)Royalty for excavation, transportation, filling of earthwork etc. including obtaining permission from statutory authority, if any shall be borne by the contractor.
Disposing off the surplus excavated materials and debris by mechanical transport with all lead inside site & Anushaktinagar area with all lifts, loading, unloading, as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Disposing off the surplus excavated materials and debris by mechanical transport with all lead at nearest approved disposal ground of MCGM including all lifts, loading, unloading all as per guidelines of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste management plan as approved by MCGM & as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Providing and laying dry rubble stone hard core soling of following consolidated thickness in sub base to floor and in plinth protection to required levels and lines with first quality rubble, hand set, well packed including providing and filling the interstices with smaller stone chips, of approved quality supplying & finishing / blinding the surfaces with approved blinding quality murrum/stone dust including watering, consolidation etc. all complete as per specification drawings & as directed by Engineer in Charge. NOTE: The smaller stones for filling interstices and murrum/stone dust shall be supplied by the contractor.

Providing random rubble masonry with rough dressed hard stone below plinth in foundation, plinth, retaining wall, culverts, storm water drains and other structures including compound wall etc. in cement mortar 1:6 including through stone, header stone, bond stone, quoins etc. well packed including filling the interstices with smaller stone chips, striking, raking out joints & finishing the joints, including scaffolding, curing etc. all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Cement pointing to random rubble masonry wall with cement mortar 1:3 including raking out joints, pointing neatly and finishing the joints , curing, scaffolding etc. complete all as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer in charge.
Raised and cut pointing
Providing and laying patent box type cement based water proofing treatment of approved agency for basement raft, raft of tank and vertical walls etc. at all levels & locations as per specification of the water proofing agency including cleaning of surfaces, curing and testing the basement raft for water tightness, rectification of defects if any, etc. complete as per specification and drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge as per the following. a) Providing 50 mm to 70mm thick water proofing treatment for base / floor consisting of :- i) 1st layer shahabad stone of approx. size 600x600x20mm thick of approved quality,(rough stone slab) over a 25mm thick base of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement:3 course sand) mixed with waterproofing compound conforming to IS:2645 in the recommended proportion. Joints sealed and grouted with cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS: 2645 in proportions recommended by the manufacturer ii) 2nd layer of 25mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (1cement : 3 coarse sand ) mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportions. iii) Finishing top with stone aggregate of 10mm to 12mm nominal size spreading@ 8cudm/sqm thoroughly embedded in the 2nd layer b) Providing and laying integral cement based treatment for water proofing on the vertical surface by fixing shahabad stone of approx. size 600x600x20mm thick of approved quality,(rough stone slab) with cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS: 2645 in recommended proportion with a gap of 20mm (minimum) between stone slabs and the receiving surfaces and filling the gaps with neat cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound and finishing the exterior stone slab with cement mortar1:4(1 cement: 4 coarse sand) 20mm thick with neat cement punning mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportion complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Notes for waterproofing works:- a) The contractor shall get written approval from the Engineer-in-charge, for the water proofing agency engaged and shall submit the specification of the waterproofing agency before commencement of work. b) The contractor shall test the surface where water proofing treatment is provided for bone dry condition by filling up with water. No wet patches or leaks shall appear on the surrounding wall or under side of the slab. c) The contractor shall furnish guarantee bond on appropriate stamp paper in the proforma as per Section 10 (iii) of Condition & Clauses of Contract 2008 for the entire water proofing treatment for maintaining the surroundings and under side surfaces of the waterproofing treated area in bone dry condition for 10 years. During the guarantee period the contractor shall attend all leakages, defects etc. if noticed, free of cost, starting the work of checking up and rectification within a weeks time from the date of intimation about such leakages/ defects. "d) The contractor shall keep the water tank and other tanks filled with water after the water proofing work has been completed and shall clean it before handing over. At no time shall the water tank be kept empty. Testing for the bone dry condition for the water proofing work carried out shall again be done, before handing over, if found necessary by the Engineer-in-charge."
Providing cement based waterproofing treatment to the inside surface of water tank by giving injections to concrete bottom slab and walls as required with cement and approved waterproofing compound solution to fill up all inherent holes, voids, honeycombs etc. in concrete and treating the floor and walls with waterproof mortar as per specifications of specialised waterproofing agencies, finishing smooth with trowel in cement colour or finishing smooth without trowel to receive epoxy paint (epoxy paint to be measured in relevent item) and testing of water tank by filling up with water as per specifications etc. the thickness of treatment on the floor shall be 50 mm and on the walls about 20 mm all complete as per drawing, specification and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Notes for waterproofing works:- a) The contractor shall get written approval from the Engineer-in-charge, for the water proofing agency engaged and shall submit the specification of the waterproofing agency before commencement of work. b) The contractor shall test the surface where water proofing treatment is provided for bone dry condition by filling up with water. Cement plaster in single coat with cement mortar at all floors, heights, slopes and location on plane or curved surfaces including preparing the surface even and smooth to correct line, level, plane and plumb including scaffolding, curing etc complete as per drawing, specification and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Notes for plastering works :- a) Before commencement of plastering, the area shall be cleaned, wetted and shall be marked with 'Thiyyas' or 'Tapanis' and shall be got approved by the Engineer in Charge. b) Whenever the electrical contractor/ agency has to fix up switch boxes in walls, necessary Thiyyas or 'Dhadas' shall be arranged prior to plastering so that the electrical boxes are fixed properly in line with the finished plastered surfaces. c) Finishing around the junction boxes shall be done at all floor and position to the line, level and right angles as required while carrying out plastering work. d) No extra claim/cement consumption shall be entertained by the Department for the plastering done more than the specified thickness shown in the schedule of quantities, to bring the plastered surface to perfect line, level and plumb with adjoining columns and beams.

Ultratech Ltd./ M/s. Roofit or approved equivalent including transporting, loading, unloading, mixing at site all complete locations complete as per instructions of Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE:- i) Ready mix plaster (RMP) is the replacement of conventional plaster. ii)The cost towards scaffolding, curing, sponge finishing, neat cement finish, waterproofing agent /bonding agent etc. shall be measured under the items of conventional plaster. iii) Ready mix plaster (RMP) shall be measured in addition to the regular plaster items
Internal surfaces 12 mm thick plaster in cement mortar1:4 mix for ceiling /concrete surfaces
Supplying, laying & fixing water bar of following size/make to correct level, grade & alignment between the joint of RCC walls of water tank including cleaning the construction joints of loose mortar & dust, applying polymeric coating as primer & as directed, place the water bar slowly & carefully on the joint after the primer dries a little & became sticky or tying with the reinforcement bars as directed all complete as per manufacturer's specification.It shall be properly fabricated and spliced to achieve complete fluid tight system. All directional changes & intersection shall be minor cut & spliced by TIG or MIG welding to maintain continuity. Location of construction joint will be 350mm high above top level of RCC raft & there after at spacing of 1500mm c/c maximum along the height.
Copper water stopper bar (200 mm wide x 1mm thick with brazed joints) or equivalent par quality of approved manufacture.
Supplying & fixing stainless steel grade 316 pipes of any diameter, railings, embeded parts and spool pieces of required diameter having flanged ends on both sides with flange hole as per standard available length, providing 3D x 3D and 4 mm to 6 mm thick stainless steel puddle plate welded to it where D is the outer diameter of pipe including cutting the plate to required shape and fixing in the reinforcement at the RCC wall/ slab including cutting the form work provided for concrete at required level, height etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing copolymer polypropylene steel reinforced plastic Foot-rests / Steps of Patel brand or equivalent. as per ASTM D – 4101 specification and moulded a 16 mm dia. IS - 1786 grade Fe - 500 steel reinforcing bar and in "U" shape having dimensions 263 x 168 mm and fixing in concrete / wall as shown in the drawing and as directed all complete.
Preparing the surfaces and etching with 10% commercial hydrochloric acid wherever necessary, neutralising the etched areas by washing with 5% solution of soda ash, applying one coat of pigmented epoxy based primer followed by one coat of trowelling compound, cutting and grinding the surfaces wherever necessary using water proof quality emery paper and applying three finished coats of epoxy based polymide cured special acid and alkali resistant paint of Berger/ICI or at par quality of approved manufacture and tint including preparing surfaces scrapping, filling holes / cracks / joints wherever necessary with epoxy based trowelling compound, at all heights, floors and locations of wall, ceiling, base etc. of various tanks including cost of all materials, scaffolding, labour and as per manufacture`s recommendations, specifications & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Notes :- a) The contractor shall follow all the safety measures and provide devices / accessories required as per manufactures recommendations b) Mechanical ventilation is to be provided inside the tank during painting. c) Epoxy painting is to be done by experienced painter with approval of Engineer in charge.
Supplying and spreading pesticides chlorpyriphos or other chemical approved by central insecticides board as directed by the manufacturer and spraying the mixture uniformly by sprayer as pre-construction anti- termite treatment at the rate of 7.5 liters per sq.m. on vertical and 5 ltrs. per sq.m. on horizontal surfaces (or as directed by the manufacturer ) within the trenches, 50% of the emulsion to be filled in the holes made in trenches at 150mm. centre to centre etc. complete as per IS 6313 Part-II & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (The payment will be made on the basis of plinth area measurement only at ground floor/stilt area for all stages of operation and vertical face will not be measured for payment) complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Notes :- a) This item will be executed through approved agency who is a member of Indian Pest Control Association, approved by Central Insecticides Board. b) The contractor shall have to furnish ten years guarantee in the prescribed proforma as per Section-10 (iv) Conditions and Clauses of Contract - 2008 to maintain the anti-termite treated area/structure free from termite. c) Prior approval of Engineer in Charge shall be obtained after testing the chemical for antitermite to be used and shall be tested in approved laboratory and to be submitted to Engineer in Charge. Cost of testing shall be included in the rates quoted.

Brick masonry in super structure at all floors and locations using well burnt bricks from approved lots of class designation 3.5(classification as per IS 1077-1992 and min. average compressive strength not less than 3.50N/mm2 ) in CM 1:6 in 230mm walls to correct line, level and plumb including raking out joints, curing, scaffolding etc. complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by Engineer in Charge.

PART -I-F : FLOORING WORK NOTE: a) The floor finish level shall be generally in level matching with the surrounding floor finish level. No extra payment shall be entertained for matching the floor differences. b) Adjustment of levels in thickness of mortar bedding due to different types of flooring, if any, shall be done by the contractor without any extra cost to the Department. c) The contractor shall submit and get approved the sample for flooring, skirting, dado tiles from Engineer in Charge before bulk procurement. d) Pattern & design of flooring/ skirting/ dado shall be approved by the Engineer in Charge before commencement of work. e) Exposed edges of all natural stones used for the works like Kotah, Marble, Granite etc. shall be machine cut and shall have uniform thickness and mirror polished unless otherwise mentioned. f) The rate shall include cost of making the flooring to all geometrical shapes and sizes without any extra cost to the Department. g) All Kotah stone work shall be mirror polished to get high gloss finish and the rate shall be inclusive of the same in the respective item. h) Wherever dissimilar floor finishes are placed adjacent 3mm thick x 25mm wide aluminium flat dividing strips shall be provided by the contractor without any additional cost to the Department. i) The contractor is to take appropriate step to protect the polishing surface/ glazed surfaces of granite stone, vitrified tiles, ceramic tiles flooring and prepolished kotah stone for tread and riser by providing and laying 6mm thick POP during construction period without any additional cost. The surfaces are to be cleaned only at the time of handing over.
Providing & laying machine cut & machine polished kotah stone flooring at all floor & location including stair case landing, etc. with necessary cement mortar bedding/ backing, close jointed & grouted with matching cement slurry and finished to line, level, curing etc. as required, including cutting of stone slab, wastage, making cut outs, wherever required, machine polishing/ hand polishing (where machine cannot have access) etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Providing & laying mirror polished machine cut and machine polished (pre polished) kotah stone for treads/ risers / steps etc. as mentioned below, laid over cement mortar bedding/ backing, close jointed and pointed with matching cement slurry and finished to line, level plumb etc. as required, including curing, cutting of stone slab, making cut outs,wherever required, wastage etc. to get true square edges and final hand polishing all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer in Charge. a) For treads 25mm uniform thick in single piece of 1200/1250 mm length (approx.) laid over 20mm thick cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement :4 sand) bedding, including providing factory cut three Nos. of anti-skid 5mm deep "V" shaped grooves including moulding of the edges etc. complete. b) For risers 20mm thick in single piece of 1200/1350mm (approx.) length laid over 12mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 sand) backing. c) On top of RCC staircase railing including rounding to semicircle to the exposed edges, mirror polishing (pre-polished at factory), making suitable grooves between plaster surface and kotah including providing suitable brass pins at required length etc. all complete including laying over 12 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 ( 1 cement : 3 sand) backing. NOTE: i) The tread and risers are to be polished at factory. The exact size are to be laid without any further cutting and polishing. ii) The grooves are to be cut at factory to maintain the gap uniform. Non uniform groove size and irregular gaps between grooves shall not be accepted and rejected forthwith. iii) The contractor is to take appropriate step to protect the polishing surface of the tread and riser by providing and laying 6mm thick POP during construction period without any extra cost. The surfaces are to be cleaned only at the time of handing over.
Cement concrete 50mm thick in flooring with metallic hardner topping at all floors and locations, consisting of under layer of 38mm. thick cement concrete in grade 1:2:4 with 12mm. size aggregate and top layer 12mm. thick metallic concrete hardner wearing surface, cement being mixed with metallic flooring hardner of approved make in proportion of 4:1(4 cement : 1 metallic floor hardner) by weight and cement hardner compound mixed with 6mm. down graded stone aggregate in the ratio of 1:2 by volume including form work, consolidation finishing to required level, slope curing including providing aluminium dividing strips of size 25 x 3mm for panels of about 2 sq.m size. etc. complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Providing machine mixing and laying in approved panels of 40mm thickness IPS flooring in cement concrete mix of 1:2:4 using graded stone aggregate of 12.5 mm max. size with colouring pigment, at all level, well vibrated, compacted including providing and fixing 25mm x 3 mm thick aluminium dividing strip for panel of about 2 sqm size, to correct level and finished smooth and curing including preparation of surface by cleaning, hacking and exposing aggregate to achieve the best bond, all complete as per specification drawing & as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Cement plaster 18mm thick in skirting, RCC stair case railing (top moulding) etc. with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement correct to line, level and plumb including rounding of junctions with flooring/plastering etc. complete as per specifications and drawings & as directed by Engineer in charge.
Providing and laying at all floors and levels 6mm(min.) thick or as per specifications of approved manufacturer first quality matt /glossy finished/ non-slippery/ anti-skid rustic series ceramic tile for flooring /dado/ cladding as per the approved pattern of H & R Johnson (I)Ltd / M/s. Somani / M/s. Kajaria M/s. NITCO laid in cement mortar bedding / backing, close jointed and grouted with matching cement slurry to match the colour of the tiles, finished to level, line, slope and plumb including cutting of tiles, making openings /cutout if necessary, wastage and final cleaning of surfaces as required, curing etc. complete all as per drawings, specifications & as directed by Engineer in Charge. i) In Flooring with 300 x 300mm or 320 x 320mm size tile or as specified in working drawing laid over 20mm thick cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement : 4 sand) bedding. ii) In dado/ clading with tile size 300 x 450mm to 300x600mm or size as specified in working drawing with approved design/ pattern etc. tile laid over 12 mm thick CM 1:3 (1 cement : 3 sand) backing. NOTE: The sizes of tiles mentioned are approximate and subject to the availability in market during execution. If the required size is not available the next higher size of tiles shall be used without any extra cost to the Department. The tenderer may note the same and quote accordingly.

PART I-G : DOORS AND WINDOWS NOTE: a) The items of door frames, window frames shall include sealing the joints all round with the brick work/ concrete and doors or windows with approved mastic filler cement grout/epoxy compound/ polysulphide compound or by any other means whatsoever, by the contractor at his own cost as directed by the Engineer in Charge to make the joints water tight. b) The work contemplated under the item for supplying and fixing the window/ door frames shall be got done by the contractor through specialised agencies in the field, approved by the Department. c) One sample each of the door frame, shutter and window with all fittings and fixtures along with locking arrangement including glass panes etc. complete as per schedule of quantities drawing and specifications should be submitted for preliminary inspection before procurement on large scale. The contractor shall submit six copies of shop drawings for windows, ventilators and steel door with frames showing dimensional details of construction etc. for approval of the Engineer in Charge. After preliminary inspection, the sample should be fixed. Defects etc. if any shall be rectified to the full satisfaction of the Department and after obtaining formal approval in writing of Engineer in Charge. d) Door frames, shutters and the windows to be supplied and fixed in position should cater the dimensional tolerance of the openings to an extent of (+/-) 2%. The rates quoted by the tenderers should hold good for such variation. Test shall be conducted by the Department for the flush doors as per IS-2202-1983 Part-I from each consignment and the cost incurred on this account shall be borne by the contractor. e) For bonding the flush doors, block boards, ply wood and all types of wood works, phenol-formaldehyde synthetic resin type adhesives conforming to IS-848-1957 shall be used. f) The rate shall include cost of making the doors & windows including glass etc. in all geometrical shapes and sizes without any extra cost to the Department.
Providing and fixing in position second class approved quality teak wood moulded, rebated frames of 50 x 50 mm or size as instructed by the Engineer in charge wrought and finished sizes, conforming to IS : 4021 - 1967 for cupboard/ exhaust fan frame etc. at all height and location, including making holes in concrete/masonry walls and providing and fixing MS hold fasts 300x30x3mm thick embedded in plain cement concrete 1:3:6 in case of brick work and MS coach screw 100mm long or equivalent size in case of RCC/stoneworks including painting two coats of bitumastic paint for all unexposed surfaces coming incontract with concrete/brick masonry and painting the exposed surface with two coats of syntetic enamel paint of approved make and shade over a coat of approved primer etc. complete all as per drawing, specification, and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Supplying and fixing in position at all floors integrated bronze anodised matt finished [15micron thick], aluminium section [extruded] for aluminium door / windows - sliding top hung/fixed/ adjustable louvers / wall spans/ clipping to PVC shutters etc. as per drawing of approved manufactures with extruded sections of Jindal /Hindalco sections with size and weights as shown in the drawing, for frames and shutters[including wastages if any] conforming to relevant I.S specifications with all approved bronze anodised aluminium fittings and accessories, locking arrangements, 2 / 3 rollers with ball bearings for sliding shutters of approved quality all as shown in the drawing, including providing and fixing aluminium channel beading / glazing clips fixed with necessary bronze anodised screws, grouting the gap with thermocole & silicon sealant etc. all complete generally as per drawings, specifications etc., all as directed by Engineer in Charge, but excluding the cost of glazing, which will be paid separately. NOTE: 1. Approval of the Department for the complete design and shop drawing shall be obtained before commencement of the work.

PART I - H : PLASTERING WORK : NOTE: a) Before commencement of plastering, the area shall be cleaned, wetted and shall be marked with 'Thiyyas' or 'Tapanis' and shall be got approved by the Engineer in Charge. b) Whenever the electrical contractor/ agency has to fix up switch boxes in walls, necessary Thiyyas or 'Dhadas' shall be arranged prior to plastering so that the electrical boxes are fixed properly in line with the finished plastered surfaces. c) Finishing around the junction boxes shall be done at all floor, level and position to the line, level and right angles as required while carrying out plastering work. d) No extra claim/cement consumption shall be entertained by the Department for the plastering done more than the specified thickness shown in the schedule of quantities, to bring the plastered surface to perfect line, level and plumb with adjoining columns and beams.

Painting plastered / concrete surfaces with two coats of acrylic distemper of approved colour over a coat of approved cement primer preparing the surfaces, grinding of form work edges as required, filling with putty wherever required, scaffolding and cleaning etc.complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Painting plastered / concrete surfaces with two coats of exterior grade acrylic emulsion paint of Apex ultima of M/s. Asian Paints of approved colour and shade over a coat of approved exterior grade primer of M/s. Asian Paints all as per manufacturer's recommendations and as per the approved sample including providing necessary scaffolding, cleaning the surface with water to remove all coating, dust, filling up cracks & crevices with approved putty, curing the surface etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer in Charge. a) over sand faced cement plaster. b) over RCC jalli (both sides of jally shall be measured for payment).

Supplying, fabricating, fixing in position G.I.chain link fencing of 50mm x 50mm and 4mm dia. wire with chain link net fixed to iron angles frame of size 40x40x6mm and MS flat frame as shown in drawings (M.S. works shall be paid under relevant item ) including cost of hooks, bolts, nuts, washers required if any and painting chain link and MS frame work with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of approved anti corrosive primer, etc. complete generally as per specifications and drawings. NOTE: PCC, MS angle, flats, shall be paid under relevant item.

Providing HDPE sheet flashing fabricated by welding HDPE flexibal sheet with 160 / 110 mm dia HDPE pipe about 400mm long for PVC rain water pipes, fixing with cement mortar 1:2 mixed with water proofing compound and forming the proper shape and grade and with inlet mouth of rain water pipe cutting RCC slab or wall if required,including the cost of bitumen, cement mortar etc. all complete as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: For fixing HDPE sheet on RCC / Cement Concrete bottom surface shall be sticked watertite by synthetic glue as per manufacturers recomendation (Glue type as per manufacturers recomendation). Top potion shall be spread with approved synthetic glue and fine 0.5mm sand shall be spinkled over it and allowed to be dried. after drying it is to be embaded using cement morter 1:2 as per required shape and form.

Providing and fixing Stainless steel Dome mesh fabricated by welding from 2mm dia 304 grade stainless steel wire for PVC rain water pipes (sheet flashings), with 5mm x 10mm L base ring of 0.5mm thickness 304 grade Stainless steel. L ring to be embedded in waterproofing & dome to be place on it, including the cost of fixing material etc. all complete as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and laying below the ground or floor, the following diameter ASTM nontreaded UPVC sovent welded pipes as per ASTM D-1785 and fittings as per ASTM D-2466 and ASTM D-2467 (white or offwhite colour) of specified class, consisting the following items of work:- i) Supplying & fixing ASTM nontreaded UPVC sovent welded pipes as per ASTM D-1785 and fittings as per ASTM D-2466 and ASTM D-2467 . ii) Laying and fixing the pipe and specials below the ground or floor to correct line, level and plumb for water supply line. iii) Testing the pipe line to a hydraulic pressure as per manufacturers cataglouge for leak proof joint or as per relavant code iv) Making leak proof threaded / welded joints. including cutting the pipe, cleaning, marking, heating, welding, cooling etc. and the cost of jointing materials. v) Cutting or making hole or chases in RCC or brick work structure such as wall, column, beam, slab, chajja, dado etc. for passing the pipe line and reinstating all the damage to its original condition. vi) Providing and fixing UPVC weldable / threaded fittings such as Union, Nipples, Bendes, Elbows, Tees, Reducers, End caps, Couplers, Adaptors, Saddles, Plugs, Tank connectors, Expansion loops, Bypass bends, etc

Constructing brick masonry Gully Trap chamber of following size and upto 600 mm initial depth including providing and fixing gully trap, consisting following items of work:- i) Providing square mouth uPVC gully trap of size 150 X 150 mm with 110 mm outlet of Approved Make embedding in position in cement concrete 1:2:4 inside the chamber. ii) 230 mm thick brick masonry in 1:4 cement mortar over 150 mm thick cement concrete 1:2:4. iii) 15 mm thick plaster in cement mortar 1:3 on internal and external surfaces, internal surfaces and top finished with a floating coat of neat cement. iv) Providing and fixing CI Manhole covers & frame of size 300mm x 300mm weighing not less than 7 Kg; as approved by E.I.C as specified / approved, including cost of necessary hardware and cement concrete / mortar for fixing the frame.

NOTES FOR INSPECTION CHAMBER & MANHOLE i) Depth of Manhole / chamber shall be the vertical distance from the top of the frame & cover of manhole/ chamber to the outgoing invert of the main drain channel. ii) The internal diameter of sizes mentioned in the item shall be measured from finished plastered surfaces. iii) 1:2:3 grade concrete for fixing frame & cover ( ie.,for capping & bed block or bearing course ) and CM1:2 for plastering & fixing shall be paid separately in relevant item. iv) Slope of 1:6 for benching shall be started from channel of depth equal of the outgoing sewer diameter. v) The slope of conical wall of manhole and longitudinal walls of rectangular Inspection Chamber starts from the vertical height of 200mm from top of frame and cover. vi) While making payment for extra over initial depth,the thickness of RCC frame & cover and the thickness of cement concrete bed block (bearing course) shallnot be deducted from the depth of manhole or chamber. Constructing brick masonry Inspection chambers of internal sizes 900 X 600mm at bottom and 900 X 450mm at top for an initial depth of 600mm consisting following items of work. i) 230 mm thick brick masonry in cement mortar 1:2 over 150 mm thick bed in cement concrete of grade 1:2:4 with 150 mm offset alround, tapering the longitudinal walls to a height of 450 mm from top of chamber cover to obtain an internal dimension of 900 X 450mm ii) 20 mm thick plaster in cement mortar 1:1 mixed with water proofing compound @ 2% by weight of cement on internal and external surfaces, internal surfaces and top finished with a floating coat of neat cement. iii) Making benching and haunching in cement concreteof grade 1:2:4 and finishing with floating coat of neat cement. iv) Fixing frame and cover at top using cement concrete of grade 1:2:4 (for bed block / bearing course and capping) and cast iron steps / foot rests, all as per specification and as directed by E-in-C. NOTE:- Providing & fixing foot-rests / steps and CI / RCC / Composite frame & cover including CC of grade 1:2:4 for fixing the frame and cover, plastering in C.M 1:2 on exposed surfaces of bed block & capping,making smooth cement finish etc. will be paid under relevant item

Construction of circular manhole of 1200 internal diameter at bottom and 530/560/600 mm at top for 1.5 m initial depth & brick masonry in 1:2 cement mortar, 230mm thick wall for 1400 mm measured from top of frame &cover of manhole in conical shape and remaining height constructed 345 mm thick in cylindrical shape over a 300 mm thick cement concrete bed of grade 1:2:3 with 300 mm offset from outer finished wall surface of the manhole, also for benching and fixing frame & cover at top of brick masonry i.e. below and around frame and cover for bed block (bearing course) and capping including providing and fixing frame & cover, CI steps, 20mm thick plaster in 1:1 cement mortar mixed with water proofing compound @2% by weight of cement as per the manufacturer’s recommendation on internal and external surfaces, internal surfaces and channel finished smooth with floating coat of neat cement and external surfaces finished rough with wooden float, all as per specifications and drawings. NOTES:- 1.Providing & fixing foot-rests /steps and CI/ RCC/ Composite frame & cover including CC of grade 1:2:4 for fixing the frame and cover, plastering in C.M 1:2 on exposed surfaces of bed block & capping, making smooth cement finish etc. will be paid under relevant item. 2.Top internal dia 530/560/600 mm to suit MD,HD & EHD cover for initial depth of 1800mm
