Supply , installation, Commissioning and Testing of Maintenance Free Earhting system comprising of the following :- Copper Bonded Steel Earth Rod of 3 meter length and 14.2 mm diameter. Auger a hole of diameter 3 inch and 9 feet depth in the soil, placing the Earth rods in to theaugured hole, hammering the rods to 1 feet depth, removing excavated material. Make ERICO Cat Part No:CODE615800 or techno-commercially equivalent of DEHN/ SEIMENS complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Important Note :- The Contractor should produce import Purchase Vouchers from OEM before procurement of items for the work. Brief features/ specifications of CBSE Rod is as follows: (aa) The outer surface must be molecularly bonded with uniform layer of 250 micron Copper, 99.9% pure electrolytic coating. (ab) Nickel interface must be provided between the copper and steel to avoid the galvanic corrosion. ac) Must be capable of withstanding fusing current of 20 KA @ 1 Sec. ad) Earth rod must be in compliance with IEC 62305- 2, NBC 2010 and IEEE 80. Rod should be tested as per IEC-62561-2 standard. ae) Tensile strength greater than 80000 PSI on 12 mm. af) High resistance to corrosion ag)Material category numbr shall be listed in UL listed , Manufacturer Make Part No and UL mark should be printed in each rod.

S & F 10 mm Copper Bonded Steel Round Conductor, minimum copper bonding shall be 254 microns having continuous coin form, the conductor core consists of a low carbon steel grade for improved flexibility. M & L for Stainless steel Terminal connections to Equipment Body connection from maintenance free earth pit by mechanical connection using nuts, bolts and all other accessories complete as required by Engr-in-Charge. Note: Terminals of existing earth pits shall be cleaned for proper contact with CBSC.

M & L for Cadweld Materials for Connections between Ground Rod with CBSC conductor by Exothermic reaction. Connections to be made with a semi-permanent graphite mould, which shall hold the conductors to be welded. Weld metal must be a mixture of copper oxide and aluminium, should be compliant with IEEE 80 standards and tested as per IEEE 837 -2014 standard. M & L for cutting the existing hard standing/PCC/WBM road at a depth not less than 30 X 30 cm in width for passing of pipe line/cable through pipe, returning , filling in complete including finishing the top surfaces by providing cement concrete (1:3: 6) type C2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) 20 cm thick on top . PCC surface finished to a uniform smooth surface , bottom filled with excavated earth complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

MPROTANT NOTE FOR SER ITEM NO 1.00 TO 11.00 (1) The complete works of the Earthing system is to be got done from the OEM of their authorized sister concern/channel partner only. (2) Design/Drawing/BOM/ Technical specifications of the complete earthing system showing the layout including dimensions is to be obtained from OEM strictly keeping in view the actual ground requirements & the same is to be got approved from Engr-in-Charge & GE before placing final order to the OEM. (3) Any items missed out in the technical specification , but technically required for efficient working of the system is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates. (4) The contractor /Firm is required to visit the site prior to quoting of the subject items/work so as to ascertain the actual ground requirements. Any further query at a later date shall not be entertained & resposibility of the same shall rest on the contractor/firm. (5) Comparative analysis in respect of the items wherever techno-commercially equivlent w.r.t the given Cat/Part/Model ref concerned is to be submitted to the Engr-in-Charge & GE for approval. (6) The cost of making good the disturbed surfaces (Substation yard Stones and gravel, Walls, Pavement etc) is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate of relevant items. (7) On testing if the desired earth resistance is not found according to the relevant Indian Standards it is to be redone to the entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge at no extra cost to the Dept after completion of work contractor should submit a detailed Report of Earth resistance test result from OEM and same is to be certified from Engr-in-Charge & GE. (8) Repair/ Preventive maintenance of the complete earthing system is to be got doen from the OEM /Sister Concern/Channel partner only by the contractor for the entire defect liability period i.e two years from the certificate date of competion & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates. (9) If any damage to any electical/communication cables or any pipe lines or any other installations occurs during execution of the work then the same shall be made good by the contractor to the entire satisfaction of the concerned & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. (10) Testing at an interval of 6 months of the entire earthing system is to be got done drom the OEM/Sister Concern/Channel Partner only by the contractor & report submitted accordingly to the Engr-in-Charge of the entire defect liability period & and the cos of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates. (11) Purchase Voucher & Manufacturers test certificates to be submitted in original to the Engr-in-Charge.conductors to be welded.
