Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of vehicle mounted D.G Sets of specified size with allied works as per following details: TECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS:- i) Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of D.G Set of 50 KVA at MSL altitude, (-)10˚ to (+) 40 ˚C ambient temperature and 60 % relative humidity. The DG Set shall be comprising of diesel engine and alternator coupled together with heavy duty flexible coupling and mounted on M S base frame along with standard accessories, control panel, battery, anti – vibration pads and canopy made of CRCA sheets, duly painted conforming to noise pollution specifications /requirements (75dBA @1m at 75% load) & of environmental protection rules 1986 as laid down by Ministry of Environmental protection and forest, read with GSR- 371 (E) date 17-02-2002 & GSR 520 (E) date 01-07-2003 in respect of emission norms for the Engine and in respect of noise level for the D.G Sets for supplies read with up to date amendments and as applicable at time of supply. The engine shall conform to IS / 10000/ BS -649 / BSS 5514. The D G set shall be CPCB 2nd norms compliant. The DG set should be rated for continuous duty with overload provision of 10% for the period not exceeding one hour in 12 hours. The detailed specifications are as under:- ALTERNATOR : The alternator shall be self – regulated for corresponding Engine rating and conforming to IS- 1271, 2253, 4722, 4728, 4889, 6362, 7132, 7306, 7816, 12065, 12075, 12802, 13364, 13118, IEC- 600 34 and shall be brushless type. The alternator shall be scratch protected, drip proof with IP-23 degree of protection as per IS 4691/85 and shall be two bearing (sealed type) B-3 construction, foot mounted ensuring rigidity epoxy gel coated, positive voltage built up compact design with high performance AVR suitable for continuous and trouble free operation. All wound components shall be impregnated for better mechanical strength. Make = Stamford/Kirloskar /Cummins/CG Output rating at = 50 KVA at MSL Rated Speed = 1500 RPM Type = 3 phase, Brush less Efficiency = 88 % or above Voltage = 415 V ± 3% at 50 Hz. Power factor ≥ 0.80 lagging Alternator winding = Copper (PVC insulated-H class) DIESEL ENGINE (PRIME MOVER): The engine shall be diesel driven to develop requisite BHP (After considering the de-aeration effect due to above site condition and power losses etc.) at 1500 RPM for the alternator rated as above at an altitude of 1950 (AMSL) with ambient temperature ranging from (-) 10˚ to (+) 40 ˚C under 60% humidity Conditions: Make = Cater pillar/Kirlosker / C.Greaves/Cummins Type = Turbo charged Speed = 1500 RPM Control = ECM Method of start = Battery operated Cooling System = Radiator with antifreeze liquid coolant Accessories : Besides all accessories/ standard equipment to make the Engine complete in all respects and ready for use with following equipment’s, Anti-Vibration Mountings. Cold starting unit Safety control against low lube oil pressure and high cooling water temperature along with tripping FUEL TANK: Suitable capacity not less than 12 operating hours as per fuel consumption floor mounted made of MS sheet, duly painted. The fuel tank shall fitted with return connections, air vent, drain valve, level indicator and fuel pipes, safety control devices for high canopy temperature. BATTERY: Suitable battery with Rack and cables along with lead terminals connected with charging dynamo and cut out fitted with 12V DC-starting system. Engine instrument panel It shall be fitted with starting switch, with fuses, Engine temperature, low lube oil pressure gauge, High & low coolant temp., Battery over/Under/weak volts/ fail to crank start, sensor failure, cranking lockout, low fuel level, speedometer and hour meter etc. MCCB / MCB‘s of suitable rating, with overload & short circuit protections, overloading cutoff at 110% load. Frequency meter digital type of suitable rating. Energy meter of suitable rating. Power factor meter digital type of suitable rating. Push button switch for ON & OFF operation Pilot lamps (3 No’s) in different shades (Blue, Red, & Green) of suitable rating. AC alternator Protection devices:- Over/under Voltage, over/under frequency, loss of sensing. AC Alternator Metering:- L-L Voltage, L-N Voltage Instrument and control fuses Battery charger connected to voltage regulator voltmeter and ammeter for charging battery from the mains. This shall be in addition to the battery charging alternator fitted on the engine instrument and control fuses. All the above components shall be properly mounted duly wired and labeled. Suitable terminals are to be provided for outgoing connections. Any other protection devices that may be found suitable/necessary for the safe installation/operation of the D G set shall be treated as included in the specifications if not mentioned herein. All Electrical switch gears shall be of L&T/Siemens/ABB/Havells/GE make. Canopy: Fabricated out of CRCA sheets of suitable thickness to withstand snow load, compact and aesthetically superior duly painted and able to control noise pollution as per requirements of environmental (protection) rules. Silencer:- Critical grade silencer suitably optimized to meet stringent sound emission standards laid down by MOEF/CPCB-II/SPCB. Technical literature / catalogue shall be provided. Providing and fitting of cable of requisite size as per output of DG set 3.5core XLPE armoured LT aluminum conductor, 1100 volt/650 V, grade as per IS 7098-I (1988) from DG set to Panel of length 30 meters . The job also includes termination of ends of cable with suitable rating of Al. thimbles duly taped. Make Havells / Finolex VEHICLE:- i. Six wheeled Vehicle TATA series 709 models or equivalent models in Mahindra capable of holding DG set. The Vehicle shall be as per Indian Motor Vehicle Act. And as per company standard, complete in all respects. ii. Providing Of the Vehicle and laying of the corresponding DG sets, on the vehicles. The DG set shall be laid in such a manner so the corresponding vehicle should allow proper space for ventilation. The three sides should be hinged.. iii. The base frame of the DG set shall be welded with the channels ISMC 100 welded/bolted with the floor of vehicle so that the base of DG set is not in direct contact with the base of the vehicle. iv. Load body mounted with the DG set capable of withholding any kind of vibrations. The DG set should be mounted on vehicle in such a way that it doesn’t slip in any kind of terrain. v. The vehicle should have payload capacity in excess of the gross weight of DG set. vi. No modifications whatsoever shall be allowed on the vehicle without the permission of Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical Division Srinagar.
