Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm and n exc 50 mm deep and screening of usable materials as directed by Engr in charge

M&L for 7.50 cm thick WBM in one layer (compacted thickness) with coarse agg (Lime stone, sand stone, Flint or Quartzite) of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm Size) spread , rolled with 8 to 10 ton power roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber all as specified and directed

M&L for Preparation of unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, Sweeping with brooms and finaly fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose, dirt etc complete all as specified and directed

M&L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with RS1 grade catonic emulsion @ 7.5 Kg per 10 Sqm using mechanical sprayer on WBM surfaces and black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed

M&L for Repair to potholes, any dept not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or scoring sunken surfaces in road, paths etc, cutting around adges to at least 25mm in depth making rood around by filling in screened a graded road metal, watering anad well ramming(including supply of road metal)using power roller 8-12 tonne capacity and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer @ 6kg per 10sqm using paving bitumen grade VG-30 on top surface all as specified and as directed

M&L for repair to potholes any depth and not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc., cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cu m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings complete all as specified and directed

M&L for Preparing surface of black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for Applying tack coat catoinic emulsion Grade-I @ 3 Kg/ Per X Sqm using mechenical sprayer complete in all respect complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for Applying tack coat catoinic emulsion Grade-I @ 2.5 Kg/ Per X Sqm using mechenical sprayer complete in all respect complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for Providing & laying design mixed, semi dense bituminous concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with minimum 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, using paving bitumen of VG-10 or VG-30, rolled & consolidated to required gradient & camber with power road roller exc 8 tonne & n.exc 12 tonne complete in all respect as specified & directed. Notes:- The contractor's quoted rates shall also be deemed to include the following elements: (i) The contractor shall get the mix design done through National Test House, SEMT wing CME, Regional Research Labs, IITs, National Institutes of Technology, Govt Engineering College or any Govt laboratories and the same shall be got approved from the GE before providing Bituminous Macadum. (ii) If actual design mix comes less than 5.5% binder content, then the rate of recovery of bitumen shall be as per rate in purchase vouchers per kg for the purpose of adjustment. However, no adjustment shall be made if the binder content is required more than 5.5%.
