EARTH WORKS

Excavation for roadway in earth, soil of all sorts, sand gravel, or soft murum including dressing section to the required grade, camber and isde slopes and conveying the excavated materials with all lifts upto a lead of 50m and spreading for embackment or stacking as directed.

Watering and compacting of embankment formed of materials obtained from the road cutting with in a lead of 50m,not less than 97% of standard Proctor density after laying them in layers of 20cm.to 30 cm. with Power roller.

Filling in plinth and floors with approved excavated material in 15cm. to 20cm. layers including watering and compacting etc. complete.

Disposal of excavated excess earth/Ordinary rock away from the site including conveyance of materials up to an average lead of 5KM away from the site, and correspondiong required lift, loading, unloading etc complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (The quantity is net quantity of capacity of truck after deduction of 20% for looseness)(considering the maximum disposal location at 5 KM distance)

Providing and laying Cast in situ/Ready Mix cement concrete in M-10 of trap/ granite/ quartzite/ gneiss metal for foundation and bedding including bailing out water, formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing if required and curing complete, with fully automatic micro processor based PLC with SCADA enabled reversible Drum Type mixer/concrete Batch mix plant (Pan mixer) etc. complete. With natural sand/V.S.I. quality Artificial Sand

Providing and laying Cast in situ/Ready Mix cement concrete in M15 of trap/ granite/quartzite/gneiss metal for steps including steel centering, plywood/steel formwork, laying/pumping, compacting, roughening them if special finish is to be provided, finishing uneven and honeycombed surface and curing etc. complete. The Cement Mortar 1:3 plaster is considered for rendering uneven and honeycombed surface, only. Newly laid concrete shall be covered by gunny bag, plastic, tarpaulin etc. (Wooden centering will not be allowed.),with fully automatic micro processor based PLC with SCADA enabled reversible Drum Type mixer/concrete Batch mix plant (Pan mixer) etc. complete. Providing and laying Cast in situ/Ready Mix cement concrete M-25 of trap / granite /quartzite/ gneiss metal for R.C.C. work in foundations like raft, strip foundations, grillage and footings of R.C.C. columns and steel stanchions etc. including bailing out water, formwork ,cover blocks, laying/pumping, compaction and curing roughening the surface if special finish is to be provided (Excluding reinforcement and structural steel) etc. complete, with fully automatic micro processor based PLC with SCADA enabled reversible Drum Type mixer/ concrete Batch mix plant (Pan mixer) etc. complete. With fine aggregate (Natural Sand / Crushed sand VSI Grade finely washed etc)

Providing and fixing in position TMT - FE - 500 bar reinforcement of various diameters for R.C.C. pile caps, footings, foundations, slabs, beams columns, canopies, staircase, newels, chajjas, lintels pardis, copings, fins, arches etc. as per detailed designs, drawings and schedules. including cutting, bending, hooking the bars, binding with wires or tack welding and supporting as required complete.

BRICK WORK

Providing second class Burnt Brick masonry with conventional/ I.S. type bricks in cement mortar 1:6 in foundations and plinth of inner walls/ in plinth external walls including bailing out water manually , striking joints on unexposed faces, raking out joints on exposed faces and watering etc. Complete.

Providing second class Burnt Brick masonry with conventional/ I.S. type bricks in cement mortar 1:4 in half brick thick wall including mild steel longitudinal reinforcement of 2 bars of 6 mm diameter / 2 hoop iron strips 25 mm X 1.6 mm placed at every third course, properly bent and bonded at ends scaffolding, racking out joints and watering etc. complete.

STEEL WORK

Providing and fabricating structural steel work in rolled sections like joists, channels, angles, tees etc. as per detailed design and drawings or as directed including cutting, fabricating, hoisting, erecting, fixing in position making riveted / bolted /welded connections without connecting plates, braces etc. and including one coat of anticorrosive paint and over it two coats of oil painting of approved quality and shade etc. complete.

Providing structural steel work in hollow section of various thickness and sizes in square, rectanular and round shape from 25mm to 450mm section as per IS 4923 YST 310 Grade produced from iron ore and blast furnace route etc. as per detailed designs and drawing or as directed including cutting, fabricating, hoisting, erecting, fixing in position, making riveted/bolted/ welded connections and painting complete.

Providing internal cement plaster 12mm thick in single coat in cement mortar 1:3 without neeru finish to concrete or brick surfaces, in all position including scaffolding and curing etc. complete.

ROAD WORK

Providing and laying C.C. pavement of mix M-25 with ready mixed concrete from batching plant. The ready mixed concrete shall be laid and finished with screed board vibrator , vacuum dewatering process and finally finished by floating, brooming with wire brush etc. complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-incharge. (The panel shuttering work shall be paid for separately).

Providing and laying 125micron Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) sheet confirming to IS 3395 : 1997 below concrete pavement including all materials and labour complete.

Providing and laying 60mm thick faciory made cement concrete interlocking paver block of M -30 grade made by block making machine with strong vibratory compaction, of approved size, design & shape, laid in required colour and pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, filling the joints with line sand etc. all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing G.I. chain link fabric fencing of required width in mesh size 50x50 mm including strengthening with 2 mm dia wire or nuts, bolts and washers as required complete as per the direction of Engineer-incharge. Made of G.I. wire of dia 4 mm

Providing and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved colour to new /old structural steel work and wood work in buildings, including scaffolding if necessary, cleaning and preparing the surface (excluding primer coat) etc. complete.

Providing and fixing factory made precast RCC perforated drain covers, having concrete of strength not less than M-25, of size 1000 x 750x50 mm, reinforced with 8 mm dia four nos longitudinal & 9 nos cross sectional T.M.T. hoop bars, including providing 50 mm dia perforations @ 100 to 125 mm c/c, including providing edge binding with M.S. flats of size 50 mm x 1.6 mm complete, all as per direction of Engineerin- charge.

Sub-Head - VII - DISTRIBUTION PANELS

Design, manufacture, supply,including supervision during installation, testing and commissioning of 2 mm thick MS sheet steel fabricated cubicle type Panel dust and vermin proof complete with hinged and lockable doors . The Sheet Steel shall under go minimum eight tank treatment followed by finishing treatment of powder coating with 70 micron minimum thickness. All the panels shall be floor mounted and dead front construction complete with interconnections.

The panels shall be FRONT operated, with cable entry from the top. Earth bus shall be part of the panel.) (All MCB to be "C" Curve)

The following provisions shall be required to be made in the Distribution Panel as detailed below:

All live accessible parts shall be shrouded with 1mm thick polycarbonate/3 mm thick FRP sheet and all equipment shall be finger touch proof. The busbar insulation shall be with heat shrinkable sleeves according to the colour code. SMC shrouds and busbar supports shall be used. All MCCB door handle shall be interlocked and lockable in OFF position.

Galvanised hardware with zinc passivation shall be used in fabrication of Switchboards.

Suitable Aluminium earth bus to be provided throughout the length of Switchboards.

All indication lamps / illuminated push buttons shall be LED type.

Coil of all motor starters shall be fed from 440 V / 230 V Control Transformer.

2A SP MCBs shall be used as backup protections.

GENERAL NOTES:

All items of work under this Contract shall be executed strictly to fulfill the requirements laid down under “Basis of Design” in the specifications. Type of equipment, material specification, methods of installation and testing and type of control shall be in accordance with the specifications, approved shop drawings and the relevant Indian Standards, however capacity of each component and their quantities shall be such as to fulfill the above mentioned requirement.

The unit rate for all equipments or materials shall include cost in RUPEES for equipment and materials including all taxes and duties, including forwarding, freight, insurance and transport into Contractor’s store at site, storage, installation, testing, balancing, commissioning and other works as required.

The rate for each item of work included in the Schedule of Quantities shall, unless expressly stated otherwise, include cost of :

All materials, fixing materials, accessories, appliances tools, plants, equipment, transport, labour and incidentals required in preparation for and in the full and entire execution, testing, balancing, commissioning and completion of work called for in the item and as per Specifications and Drawings.

Wastage on materials and labour.

Loading, transporting, unloading, handling/double handling, hoisting to all levels, setting, fitting and fixing in position, protecting, disposal of debris and all other labour necessary in and for the full and entire execution and for the job in accordance with the contract documents, good practice and recognize principles.

Liabilities, obligations and risks arising out of Conditions of Contract.

All requirements of Specifications, whether such requirements are mentioned in the item or not. The Specifications and Drawings where available, are to be read as complimentary to and part of the Schedule of Quantities and any work called for in one shall be taken as required for all.

In the event of conflict between Schedule of Quantities and other documents including the Specifications, the most stringent shall apply. The interpretation of the Consultant/Project Manager shall be final and binding.

All equipments, quantities and technical data indicated in this Schedule are for the Contractor’s guidance only, these are based on the documents prepared by the Consultant. This schedule must be read in conjunction with other documents. The Contractor shall be paid for the actual quantity of work executed by him in accordance with the approved Shop Drawings at the contract rates.

This Schedule shall be fully priced and the extensions and totals duly checked. The rates for all items shall be filled in INK including NIL items.

No alteration whatsoever is to be made to the text or quantities of this Schedule unless such alteration is authorised in writing by Consultant. Any such alterations, notes or additions shall, unless authorized in writing, be disregarded when tender documents are considered

In the event of an error occurring in the amount of the Schedule, as a result of wrong extension of the unit rate and quantity, the unit rate quoted by the tenderer shall be regarded as firm and the extensions shall be amended on the basis of rates.

Any error in totaling in the amount column and in carrying forward total shall be corrected. Any error, in description or in quantity, omission of items from this Schedule shall not vitiate this Contract but shall be corrected and deemed to be variation required by the Consultant/Project Manager.

Rates have been called for a number of items of works, as alternatives which, for the present do not form part of the total value of tender. However the rates for these items shall be quoted, with due care so that in the event of choice of an alternative item of work, said rate shall form part of the contract and shall not violate the contract any way.

The Contractor shall procure and bring Materials/Equipment to the site only on the basis of drawings approved for construction and shop drawings and not on the basis of Schedule of Quantities which are provisional only. This also applies to the Contractor’s requisition for Owner supplied materials.

Minimum gauge for duct fabrication shall be 24 gauge wether it is site fabricated or factory fabricated.

General Notes & Specifications as given below shall be applicable to all panels.The vendors shall consider the following details in their item rates, wherever required:

All PTs / control transformers shall be provided with centre tap earth secondary.

The panel shall include the following components and accessories.

Designing, fabricating, testing, protection, installing and fixing in position semi (grid) unitized system of structural/ curtain wall glazing (with open joints) for linear as well as curvilinear portions of the building for all heights and all levels, including :

a) Structural analysis & design and preparation of shop drawings for the specified design loads conforming to IS 875 part III (the system must passed the proof test at 1.5 times design wind pressure without any failure), including functional design of the aluminum sections for fixing glazing panels of various thicknesses, aluminium cleats, sleeves and splice plates etc. gaskets, screws, toggles, nuts, bolts, clamps etc., structural and weather silicone sealants, flashings, fire stop (barrier)-cum-smoke seals, microwave cured EPDM gaskets for water tightness, pressure equalization & drainage and protection against fire hazard including:

e) Making provision for drainage of moisture/ water that enters the curtain glazing system to make it watertight, by incorporating principles of pressure equalization, providing suitable gutter profiles at bottom (if required), making necessary holes of required sizes and of required numbers etc. complete. This item includes cost of all inputs of designing, labour for fabricating and installation of aluminium grid, installation of glazed units, T&P, scaffolding and other incidental charges including wastages etc., enabling temporary structures and services, cranes or cradles etc. as described above and as specified. The item includes the cost of getting all the structural and functional design including shop drawings checked by a structural designer, dully approved by Engineer-in-charge.

The item also includes the cost of all mock ups at site, cost of all samples of the individual components for testing in an approved laboratory, field tests on the assembled working structural glazing as specified, cleaning and protection till the handing over of the building for occupation. In the end, the Contractor shall provide a water tight structural glazing having all the performance characteristics etc. all complete as required, as per the Architectural drawings, as per item description, as specified, as per the approved shop drawings and as directed by the Engineer in-Charge.

Note:- 1. The cost of providing extruded aluminium frames, shadow boxes, extruded aluminium section capping for fixing in the grooves of the curtain glazing and vermin proof stainless steel wire mesh shall be paid for separately under relevant items under this subhead. However, for the purpose of payment, only the actual area of structural/ curtain wall glazing (including width of grooves ) on the external face shall be measured in sqm. up to two decimal places.

Design, manufacture, supply,including supervision during installation, testing and commissioning of 2 mm thick MS sheet steel fabricated cubicle type Panel dust and vermin proof complete with hinged and lockable doors . The Sheet Steel shall under go minimum eight tank treatment followed by finishing treatment of powder coating with 70 micron minimum thickness. All the panels shall be floor mounted and dead front construction complete with interconnections. (Form IIIB)

Providing and applying external raincoat painting with crack filling acrylic polymer based chemical compound coating to the external surface of wal stoprevent water seepage in the masonry walls during monsoon added with required shade Steiner to give required shade to the surface in two coats. Supplying and erecting 12.5 m (clear height) High Mast (Top- 150mm, Bottom- 360mm) with lowering and raising motorized unit, lantern carriage assembly suitable for max. 6 nos. luminaries and its control gear box, lightning finial arrangement for fixing aviation light and foundation bolts on provided foundation as per specification no.OH-PL/HM (excluding luminaries ).

Supplying and erecting LED Flood light fitting of 120W, including lamp, with PF > 0.95,class IP 65 and above Housing of pressure die cast aluminium alloy and heat sink extruded aluminium complete per specification No FG-ODF/FLS-2

F.P. (External Lighting)

Design, manufacture,Supply, Installation, testing and commissioning at works of Double door panel fabricated with minimum 2mm thick CRCA sheet, Conform to IS Specification, with IP-55 enclosure protection, as per IS-2137(Revised), floor mounting free standing on a suitable massanory pedestal outdoor type panel,provided with hinged detachable and lockable outer opening doors with the following incoming/outgong MCCB/ MCBs mounted therein including making connections/ interconnections, earthing, painting etc. as required.The panel shall have canopy arrangement on the top.All MCB to be C curve .

Bus Bars

80 Amps TPN Aluminium Bus Bars of suitable length Bus bars shall be colour coded and insulated by heat shrinkable sleaves & clip on shrouds for joints. The current density of Bus bar shall be 1.2 sq.mm./amp.

Outgoing (All MCB shall be suitable for motor duty & with heavy duty detachable solid neutral link ):

9 nos 25A DP MCB 10 KA breaking capacity controlled by and including providing 63 DP MCB, 63 A DP contactor and Timer.

Earthing

Providing earthing with galvanized iron earth plate size 60 x 60 x 0.6 cm complete with all materials, testing & recording the results as per specification no. EA-EP

Supplying and erecting aluminium strip of required sizes used for earthing on wall and/or any other purpose with necessary aluminium clamps fixed on wall painted with bituminous paint in an approved manner with joints required. As per specification no EAEP.

Supplying and erecting GI earth wire of high purity of different sizes used for earthing or any other purposes on wall with necessary G. I. Clamps fixed on wall/cable/ conduit with screws in an approved manner.
