PROVISION OF PROTECTIVE WORK, CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE, RE-CONSTRUCTION OF DAMAGED ROAD AND ALLIED WORKS AT HAPPY VALLEY UNDER GE SHILLONG

NOTE (Applicable for all items):- The bidders/contractors are advised to read tender document & all corrigendum/ amendments and General conditions of contracts before entrying/quoting the rates. SCHEDULE 'A' BOQ

Surface excavation n. exc. 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material (Soil) n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Bringing approved earth (as approved by GE) from sources outside defence land including all cost such as royality if any, transportation, taxes etc for area filling / forming embankments. Notes:- (i) Earth required for the item shall be supplied by contractor from out side MOD land of any lead, at his own arrangement. (ii) All cost of procurements of earth including cost of transportation,royalities,tax etc shall be deemed to be including in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) With reference to clause 3.6 of MES schedule Part-II on serial page No 21 it is clear that measurement of the above item shall be finished embankment/traverse of filled earth after consolidation / compaction and 5 % deduction shall be made from measured and calculated volume to allow for increase in bulk. (iv) Total quantity/partial quantity of earth may not be available in Shillong area. The contractor shall bring the earth outside area. It is advised to quote the rate considered availability of soil and its lead involved. (v) Forming embankments shall be measured & paid separately under respective Items.

Forming embankments including raising(or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc 30 cm thick, watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape etc n exc 1.50 m high from base complete all as specified and directed.

Forming embankments including raising(or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc 30 cm thick, watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape etc height exc 1.50 m but n exc 3.00 m high from base complete all as specified and directed.

Forming embankments including raising(or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc 30 cm thick, watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape etc height exc 3.0 m high but n exc 4.5 m high from base complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of stone/boulder masonry, build in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, etc., but excluding ashlar facing, dressed stonework and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches, n. exc 1.5 m wide and n.exc 1.5 m in depth for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sqm on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in (soils), including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing plain Cement concrete type B2 1:2:4 (40mm graded broken stone aggregate) as in surface channels and drains complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing precast cement concrete (1:3:6) type C1 (using 20mm graded broken stone aggregate) Block Masonry with solid block, exc. 10cm in width and setting in CM (1:4) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for rendering 15 mm thick 1:4 cement plaster on fair faces of PCC block Masonary work or concrete surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, mould, mitred /stopped ends etc complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling posts or struts (wood, steel or RCC) any section, including taking out embedded portion, embedded in concrete and making good disturbed ground complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling fencing wire mesh any type complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in post holes each n.exc. 0.5 cum in soft/loose soil getting out, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around in layer n.exc. 25 cm, watering and removing surplus soil to a distance n.exc. 50 m and making good surface complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Cement concrete type B2 1:2:4 (40mm graded broken stone aggregate) as in fillings and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Mild steel TMT deformed bars quality confirming to Fe 500 D, 10 mm dia and over, cut to length bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only 10 mm dia mild steel round bars as in straining rod to secure chain link mesh complete all as specified and directed. Note: Fixing of straining rod are deemed to be inclusive in the quoted rate of fixing of chain link fencing.

M&L for Mild steel TMT bars quality confirming to Fe 500 D, 6 mm to 8 mm dia., cut to length, bent to shape required, in stirrups, spacers and binders and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia., or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Providing reinforced cement concrete type B-1, 1:2:4 (20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in pre cast posts, fencing posts, straining or terminal posts, struts etc, for fencing average sectional area n exc. 100 Sq.cm, with or without chamfered angles and flat, splayed, rounded or mitred tops as directed and fixed complete all as specified and directed.

S&F galvanised two strand steel barbed wire 2.24 mm dia barbed with 2mm dia barbs at 75 mm spacing and straining and fixing to any type of standard rails, straining bolts including securing or tying at crossings with and provision of galvanised mild steel wire, staples or steel pins etc. complete all as specified and directed (each line wire to be measured).

Supply only Chain link MS Galvanized fencing of mesh size 100 mm x 100 mm and diameter of wire 3mm complete all as specified and directed.

Fixing only chain link fencing including line wires / straining rods any mesh, size and type to any type of standards rails, including line wire, binding wires, straining bolts etc including provision of binding wire complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for prepration for new or previously untreated steel surfaces n.exc 10 cm in width or girth when unconnected with other painting or when painted in a different tint and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Mild Steel works for posts and struts in fencing including cutting tops to shape as directed drilling holes, notching holes for wire etc, flat iron fillets (for securing wire mesh etc), including all necessary drilling and bolting and riveting etc and similar work conforming to Fe 290 Grade-E-165 complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F Mild Steel Screw bolts 12 mm dia(Machine made) with hexagonal or square heads at one end and screwed the other, or screwed both ends, each screwed end to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut exc 15 cm and not exc 22.5 cm long complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for broken stone or boulders hardcore of gauge n exc. 63 mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Cement concrete1:4:8 type D2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation,filling and mass Concrete, etc.complete all as specified and directed

M&L for rendering 15 mm thick 1:4 cement plaster on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces finised even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 600 mm dia Reinforced concrete pipes, class NP2, laid and jointed complete with collars in trenches, etc. on concrete bed or directly on hard ground complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for excavation over areas, not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft /loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning and filling in (soft/disintegrated rock) including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm complete all as specified and directed.

Rolling & consolidating formation surfaces in cutting/filling with 8 to 12 tonne Power roller including watering as required, filling in hollows and depressions which occur during the process of rolling complete all as specified and directed. Note : Charges of power roller for rolling is deemed to be included in this Item and no extra payment will be admissible on this account

M & L for Soling (or subbase) with broken boulders or quarried stone of size ranging from 100 mm to 50 mm spread thickness150 mm interstices filled surface formed and rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note : Charges of power roller for rolling is deemed to be included in this Item and no extra payment will be admissible on this account

M & L for 100 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM with coarse aggregates of grading-1 (90 mm to 40 mm size),using sand stone, lime stone, flint or quartzite, spread, rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and directed. Note : Charges of power roller for rolling is deemed to be included in this Item and no extra payment will be admissible on this accoun

M & L for preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirts etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer over new surfaces @ 10 kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen,complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for providing bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidatedthickness with 5.5% binder( paving bitumen) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing premix bituminous, macadam laid / rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber ( consolidated thickness not exc. 75 mm ) using paving bitumen @ 4 % by weight of total mix complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing precast cement concrete factory made kerb stone (any size as approved by GE) of M-25 grade cement concrete laid in any position with required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed

M&L for repairs to pot holes any depth n.exc 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfaces in roads, path, etc cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth and making good by applying a tack coat with bituminous primer (using paving bitumen) @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm putting in bituminous macadam, well rammed and applying liquid seal coat @ 9.80 Kg per 10 Sqm blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings 6.3 mm size and again well rammed and rolled with 8 to 12 Tonne power roller to uniform smooth surface(including supply of premixed bituminous carpet, binder and chipping) complete all as specified and directed. Depth of pot holes exc 30 mm. Note : Charges of power roller for rolling is deemed to be included in this Item and no extra payment will be admissible on this account

M&L for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. on roads pavements and the like n exc 10cm wide with road marking paint, white or golden yellow complete all as specified and directed.
