| 1.1 | Supply and installation of Clean Agent type fire extinguishers at the Main Office Premises of the Reserve Bank of India situated at Arera Hills, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, conforming to the following specifications:
i) The capacity of the fire extinguishers shall be 4 Kg.
ii) The container / body of the fire extinguishers shall be Deep Drawn Mild Steel (M.S) steel cylinders. Internal and external surfaces of the cylinders shall be powder coated with pure polyester powder for corrosion resistance.
iii) The dimensions and weight of the extinguishers shall be: a) Diameter - 150 mm (approximate), b) Height 450 mm (approximate) and c) Gross weight: 6.80 Kg (approximate).
iv) The fire extinguishers, accessories and accessories shall conform to IS 15683: 2018 of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The fire extinguisher shall have IS 15683 marks with the Certification Marks License (CML) Number imprinted on them. The Testing & Inspection of the fire extinguishers shall also be done as per provisions in the same BIS Code.
v) The fire extinguishers should be CE certified and Hydro Tested.
vi) The fire extinguishers shall be UL and FM certified, Clean Agent type with Fluro Ketone (Dodecafluro-2-methylpentan-3-one / C6F12O / FK-5-1-12 / 3M Novec 1230) agent having fire rating of 2A:34B and should be suitable for extinguishing C type fire also.
vii) The fire extinguishers shall be provided with Squeeze Grip Valve made of Forged Brass with Nickel Chromium plating, in-built Pressure Release Device (PRD), Pressure Guage and Non-Return Valve (NRV) at Pressure Gauge mounting port, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Siphon Tube, Stainless Steel (SS) Safety Pin, Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) Hose with Nylon nozzle fitted with metal threaded inserts, High Quality Vinyl label, Quick Response (QR) Code for product traceability.
viii) The fire extinguishers should be covered under Manufacturer’s Warranty of not less than 05 (five) years, which shall include coverage for manufacturing defects and cost of refilling and recharging in case the pressure falls below the acceptable / required level. During the warranty period, the contractor shall also be responsible for any repairs / replacements / maintenance / servicing of the defective spares / parts / accessories, free of cost. All charges viz. loading and unloading charges, transportation charges etc., arising on account of such repairs / replacements / maintenance / servicing during the warranty period shall be borne by the contractor. The Bank shall entertain no claims in this regard by the contractor.
ix) The fire extinguishers must be freshly manufactured and not refurbished. Each fire extinguisher should have a valid date of manufacturing, which should not be older than 12 (twelve) months from the date of issue of work order by the Bank.
x) After the installation of fire extinguishers, if any of them is / are found to be defective / dysfunctional, such defective fire extinguisher(s) shall be replaced by the contractor, within 05 (five) days from the date of written instructions to the contractor.
xi) The Serial No., date of manufacturing, and specifications of the fire extinguishers shall be labelled on the body of the extinguishers.
xii) The contractor shall submit the detailed operating procedure of fire extinguishers supplied to the Bank. The procedure thus submitted should comply with the Manufacturer’s Detailed Operating Procedure. The detailed Operating Procedure shall be in bold and large characters in bilingual format (Hindi and English), visible and legible and be labelled on each fire extinguisher in consultation with the Bank’s Engineer. The contractor shall also provide training on usage to the identified staff members of the Bank / Fire / Security Staff deployed by the Bank. | 80 | Nos | - | - |
