LT Cable junction box outdoor shall be made out of Polycarbonate with glass fiber reinforced and size should be not less than 225mm x 295mm x 122 mm(upto Cable Size 35/50sq.mm). The Polycarbonate Junction Box shall be environment friendly, recyclable, halogen & silicon free, anti acid & anti corrosive. The Junction Box shall be rated for Degree of ingress Protection IP 66/69 in accordance with IEC 60529.Weatherproof, UV-resistant, rainwater-proof, temperature-resistant. The gasket material of junction box shall be Polyurethane and the gasket shall be internally embedded. The Junction Box shall be complies with requirements of the standards IEC 60998 - 1, IEC 60670 - 22 & IEC 60670 - 2 - 5. The Junction Box with Connectors or Terminal Trip or Bus Bar. The manufacturer of Junction Box / Enclosure shall submit a copy of IEC Certificate . For better safety the Polycarbonate enclosure and shall be fire retardant & self - extinguishing in accordance with IEC 60695 - 2 - 11, DIN VDE 0304 Part - 3, UL Subject 94 for Flammability V-2. It should be tested at Glow Wire test for 960 degree Centigrade & Current Carrying Capacity upto 102Amps. The impact strength of Polycarbonate enclosure / boards i.e. the Degree of protection against mechanical load shall be in accordance with EN 50298 - 98 for IK 08 including one No. 4 pole connector and one no. MCB SP 'B' curved 6-32 Amp and chromium plated clamps and nut bolts, Glands complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions. Material & Labour in rectification of LT cable/street light fault, fault existing / as and when occurs with diagonising equipments as applicable, and by joining with suitable LT cable joint kit. Note: (a) Diagonising equipments, Skilled labour, Machinaries for excavation and refilling earth work are to be provided / arranged by the contractor at his expenses. (b) If LT cable fault occurs in Road crossing then Road cut surface to be made good after rectification work. (c) GI pipe utilized fo cable protection under Road/ Over wall will be measured and paid separately.(d) SPD and driver for LED street light utilized for repair will be measured and paid separately

Note for above item: - (i) Contractor should depute Electrician and helper and other required equipments such as transportation,hydra,minor excavation etc to attend the Faults / Complaints on daily basis as per complaint trace out and no extra payment will be made out on this account and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (ii) Contractor / Supervisor will collect complaint of Electric faults,cable faults,Security light faults,No light faults from concern JE on daily basis and will complete them the same day. (iii) Contractor should provide equipments like Excavation Tools, Discharge rod, Tester, Test lamp, Multi meter, Side plier & related essential tools, Industrial Safety helmet, Hand gloves,safety materials etc on his own arrangement as per site requirement for rectifying the complaint and no other payment will be made for the same.
