Providing & Laying 40mm thick compacted Bituminous Concrete (BC) in one layer with drum type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with appropriate rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 507 MoRT&H specification (5th Revision) 2013 for road and bridge works (5th Revision)2013 using minimum 5.4% to bitumen grade VG-40 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects including cost of bitumen instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification in mandatory. If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work.

Earth work in excavation in foundations, trenches, etc. in all kinds of soils, not exceeding 2 metres depth including dressing of bottom and sides of trenches, stacking the excavated soil, clear from the edge of excavation and subsequent filling around masonry, in 15 cm layers with compaction, including disposal of all surplus soil, as directed within a lead of 30 metres.(HSR 6.6)

Centring and shuttering for faces of walls, partitions, retaining walls, well steining and the like (vertical or battering) including attached pilasters etc. when curved (HSR 9.5)

Steel reinforcement TMT bars FE-500 FQR /FE-500 D grade or more for RCC work, where no included in the complete rate of RCC including straightening, bending binding, wastage, overlaps, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire etc. and placing in position complete in all respects for all heights/depths/storeys/basements etc. (HSR 18.22) (Note:- Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work, excluding overlaps, wastage, overlaps, couplings, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods for binding and placing, shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement).

Providing Weep Holes in retaining walls above Ground Level at 1.5 m square grid comprising 100mm dia heavy duty PVC pipes ISI marked of minimum 6kg. Pressure filled with No-fine concrete complete as per drawing and technical specifications 2706 & 2200.

Back filling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per drawing and technical specification as per clause 710.1.4 of IRC:78 & 2200 of MoRT&H specification.

Providing and laying of filter media with granular materials / stone crushed aggregates satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2 of MORTH specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specification as per clause 710.1.4 of IRC:78 and 2200 of MoRT&H specification.

Drainage spouts complete as per drawing and techincal specification as per clause 2705 of MoRT&H specification.

Providing and laying 25 mm thick mastic asphalt wearing course with paving grade bitumen meeting the requirements given in table 500-29, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface, including providing antiskid surface with bitumen precoated fine-grained hard stone chipping of 13.2 mm nominal size at the rate of 0.005cum per 10 sqm and at an approximate spacing of 10 cm center to center in both directions, pressed into surface when the temperature of surfaces not less than 1000C, protruding 1 mm to 4 mm over mastic surface, all complete as per clause 515.

Provision of an Reinforced cement concrete crash barrier at the edges of the road, approaches to bridge structures and medians, constructed with M-40 grade concrete with HYSD reinforcement conforming to IRC:21 and dowel bars 25 mm dia, 450 mm long at expansion joints filled with pre-moulded asphalt filler board, keyed to the structure on which it is built and installed as per design given in the enclosure to MOST circular No. RW/NH - 33022/1/94-DO III dated 24 June 1994 as per dimensions in the approved drawing and at locations directed by the Engineer, all as specified

Earth work in embankment in new construction with soil minimum CBR of 8% obtained from borrow pit with all lead and lift transporting to site, spreading grading to required slope and compacted to the required density to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification class No. 305 the finished road surface will be as per x-section approved by the engineer. In case the qty. of earth work calculated with NSL and finished level found to be less than 1304 Cum. Then actual quantity (less than 1304 Cum) will be paid. In case quantity worked out is more than 1304 Cum, then only 1304 Cum will be paid Excess quantity shall be incidental to work and nothing extra will be paid. Note: If soil of CBR 8% is not available then the agency will do appropriate stabilization as per IRC - SP-89-2010 as approved by SE-in-Charge and nothing extra shall be paid on this account and it will be incidental to work. No earth work will be allowed from PWD land. ( WATER DIVERSION)

Extra for bailing / pumping out standing water of pond caused by spring, sub soil water, canal or river seepage and broken water mains or drains except rain water collected in the trenches or foundation before laying concrete work (HSR 10.133)

Reinforced cement concrete 1:2:4 boundary pillars of standard design, fixed in position, including finishing but excluding painting. (HSR 10.131)

Reinforced Cement Concrete 1:2:4 studs of standard design, fixed in position, i/c finishing with exterior paint & primer coat & one 100mm wide retro reflective prismatic band consisting of 3mm ACP having high intensity micro prismatic sheeting confirming to IRC: 67:2012 on it duly fixed with 5 numbers 2” long screws with roller plug complete in all respect as per drawing in Section-9.

Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19+/-2 mm and height not less than 30+/- mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer (of reputed make such as Avery Dennison/3M)

Pre-cast cement concrete 1 : 2 : 4 with stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size in Kerbs and the like items, finished smooth with 6 mm thick cement plaster 1 : 3 on exposed surface including form work, placing and fixing in position, complete at the ground level or in first storey. (HSR 10.77 - 15.1)

Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5 mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10 cms wide/ 15cm wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 803 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th revision) of 2013/ Latest edition. Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/Berger-Sigmarc/Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflector zing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads the method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3). Note: - Before start of work the contractor shall give brand, batch number, manufacturing date of the material to be used along with a photocopy of bill duly signed by the contractor and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.

Providing and installing shoulder mounted directional signages of various sizes using non-metallic micro prismatic retro reflective sheet conforming to IRC 67-2012 type IV, HIP specification fixed on 3mm thick Aluminium Composite Panels as base board with pressure-sensitive adhesive having 0.5mm thick Aluminium on both sides supported on single or two nos. Mild Steel Pipe post 80mm NB Medium Class 4mm thick embeded in M-20 grade concrete foundation of size (450mm x 450mm x 600mm), complete as per drawings, Technical Specification and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Size 1200 x 900.

Earth work on berms with all kinds of soils with all lead and lift including breaking of clods dressing, carriage from borrow area loading unloading at site and laid in layer not exceeding 25cm loose thickness including watering and rolling etc. complete as per clause no.305 of MORTH Specification

Providing and erecting a "W" metal beam crash barrier comprising of 3 mm thick corrugated sheet metal beam rail, 70 cm above road/ground level, fixed on ISMC series channel vertical post, 150 x 75 x 5 mm spaced 2 m centre to centre, 1.8 m high, 1.1 m below ground/road level, all steel parts and fitments to be galvanised by hot dip process, all fittings to conform to IS:1367 and IS:1364, metal beam rail to be fixed on the vertical post with a spacer of channel section 150 x 75 x 5 mm, 330 mm long complete as per clause 810

Recovery items) The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. i) Material obtained on scarification of bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The scarified material will be issued for use in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) as per approval of employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material after approval from employer. This material will be issued at the price quoted by the agency or reserve price whichever is high. The reserve price is as under:- a) NP-4 Pipe 1000 mm dia recovered from diversion @ Rs. 2425/-mtr

b) GSB @Rs.733/-cum Note: All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual scarifying and if material after scarifying is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price
