REPAIR MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN PART OF GEYSERS, CEILING FAN EXHAUST FAN CABIN WALL FAN AND ALLIED WORKS UNDER GE SOUTH UDHAMPUR

Taking up/down carefully ceiling fans 1200/1400 mm sweep and exhaust fan/pedestal/air circulator Fan/ wall mounted fan any size, any sweep, from various bldgs (Or collecting from MES E/M Store Yard) as directed, opening up for servicing/repairaing, removing dust and dirt ,cleaning fan motor with cotton/waste malmal, washing blades with detergent powder, servicing/Oiling, Lathe work if any required and greasing of fan of any size/type by using approprite grade of oil/grease and Replacing defective parts such as armature, conopy, Fan blade, Ball bearing, Fan down rod, shutter/louvers , MS shaft, bush, bearing split pin, rubber bush , holding clamp, capacitor ,MS clamps, rubber packing, split pins rubber reel etc, for the smooth and satisfactory functioning, and reassembling complete, re-fixing ceiling fan /exhaust fan with proper PVC flexible pipe 20 mm dia, in same position ( or deposited to MES Store Yard ) , connecting to copper flexible cable 40/.0076 size to electrical system and including proper testing complete all as specified and directed. Note: (a) Replacement of unserviceable parts shall be measured and paid for separately under respective items as S & F in repair. (b) On testing after completion of repair , if the proper speed/smootheness is not obtained at Engr-in- charge satisfaction level , the repairing will be re- done by the contractor at his own costs and the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (c) The contractor shall maintain/open a Workshop and keep his electrician ready during working Hrs ( 0900 Hrs to 1700 Hrs ) for repair/rewinding pupose, inside MES store Yard so that all the repairing/ rewinding of Fans will be done in proper manner, MES authorities will not be issue any Fans ,any type, for repair/rewinding puropse to the contractor for his outside workshop.

Rewinding & Painting (painting with two Coats of synthetic asian paints) of AC ceiling fan motor 240 volt, 50 Hz, 1200 mm sweep of any make with super enameled copper winding wire of existing size including sleeve work, varnishing with ‘B’ class insulation varnish, connection with flexible copper wire 0.472mm dia upto connector block, complete all as specified and as directed. (Motor shall be wound with machine with same No of turns as per existing.)

All as per Srl Item No 2 above but Ceiling Fans of 1400 mm sweep complete all as specified and as directed.

Rewinding & Painting (painting with two Coats of synthetic asian paints) of exhaust fan motor 240 volt, 50 Hz, 300/380 mm sweep of any make with super enameled copper winding wire of existing size including sleeve work, varnishing with ‘B’ class insulation varnish, connection with flexible copper wire 40/.0076mm dia upto connector block complete all as specified and as directed. (Motor shall be wound with machine with same No of turns as per existing.)

All as per Srl item No 4 above but exhaust fans/ wall mounting fan of 450 mm sweep complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repair Capacitor AC 415 volts 2.5 mfd 50 HZ complete all as specified and as directed.

Note:- Cutting and making same the wall patchs after laying the wire and conduit using putty, white wash and distamper. The surface should be made smooth using putty and should match exactly with the existing wall finish.

Taking out geyser carefully from its location of any make & capacity 25/35/50Ltrs and dismantling the same for replacement of parts described under items here-in-below and installed with complete repair and re-assembling and installation of complete set to work complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- Labour for taking down and re-fixing all type of spare parts included in this items & all type of Defective parts/glass wool will be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQ as supply only.

Note :- Spare parts like heating element, thermostat, indicator, fusible safety plug, NRV, GI nipple, PVC connection, stop valve, plug top, 15 Amp S/S combined shall be measured and paid saperately under respective items of BOQ as supply only complete all as specified and as directed.

Note:- (a) Contractors representative/Engineer will report to JE E/M/Engr-in-Charge Daily at fore noon and after noon to collect routine/urgent works related to geyser complaints till completion of contract. The work shall be attended by the contractor immediately. The contractor will ensure availability of manpower equipped with all sort of petty items such as insulation tape, screws, nuts, bolts, washers etc. required to accomplish the job. The contractor will also ensure as availability of every type of requisite T&P items to his trades men. All routine/urgent jobs received on job slip will be repaired & got signature of user's and will be deposited to JE E/M with in 24 hrs. In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 8 hrs after handing over of routine and 2 hrs for urgent works, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty.

(b) The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by Engr-in-Charge more than 12 hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. The Engr-in-Charge/JE E/M shall handover the slip containing specifications of work to the contractor by lodging the time and signature of contractor be obtained on slip. The contractor shall attend the job immediately and shall report to Engr-in-Charge within 12 hrs. The contractor will keep his tradesmen in stand by for attending any routine/Urgent works from the executive If the nature of job is such that the work can not be completed within period of 12hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC. If the delay is more than twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs. 20 per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. The decision of the Accepting Officer is this regard shall be final and binding.

(c) One logged Complaint slip, is to be treated as One Complaint irrespective of No. of Repairs mentioned in the same.

(d) Contractor to keep his Electrician ready for Urgent Complaint, During odd hours (0600 Hrs to 0900 Hrs and 1700 Hrs to 2200 Hrs) Other than the Regular complaints during working Hrs (0900 Hrs to 1700 Hrs)

(e) Procurement of Security gate passes of the Electrician, will be sole responsibility of the Contractor as per CA provision.

(f) Replacement of unserviceable parts shall be measured and paid for separately under respective items as Supply Only.

(g) On testing after completion of repair, if the proper functioning without leak, not obtained at Engr-in-Charge satisfaction level, the repairing will be re-done by the contractor at his own cost and the cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

(h) The contractor shall maintain/open a Workshop and keep his electrician ready during working Hrs (0900 Hrs to 1700 Hrs) for geyser repair, inside MES store Yard so that all the repairing/Descaling/changing parts of geysers will be done in proper manner, MES authorities will not issue any Geysers/winter appliances, any type, for repair puropse to the contractor for his outside workshop.
