PRESERVATION/REPAIR KM FLOAT AND LAUNCHING ROLLER (BAFH STORES) AS UNDER:- 1. (a) Preservation of KM Floats - 177 Nos (b) Preservation of Launching Roller - 122 Nos BRIEF OF WORKS. 1. Removing the a/m stores from the existing stock to the reqd site of wk (approx 50 to 60 mtr) as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 2. Remove the float cover, straps etc and unroll on flat surface carefully. Skilled workers/mechanics be emplyed for the task. 3. Cleaning / dusting with emery paper, scrapper and cotton waste etc as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 4. Leakey Valve will be replaced with new one and any major/minor repari (if reqd) will be carried out by the contractor as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 5. Floats and roller launching will be inflated by filling the air by filling unit/compressor and testing the air pressure by pressure gauge upto 48 hrs for inspection. Outer compartment air pressure shall not be more than 100 grams/sqcm and inner will be compartment air pressure shall not be more then 25 grams/sqcm. Filling unit/compressor and air pressure gauge supplied by the department. FOL to be provided by the supplier. 6. Deflate air after inspection of floats and roller launching. Cleaning and apply French chalk manually 6 Kgs per floats and 2 KGs per roller Launching as directed by site in charge. 7. Opening of insert valves after application of French chalk and re-rolling the same as volume size not exceed 1.8 x 1m of floats as directed by site in charge, strapping and packing with cover as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 8. French chalk and other cleaning material will be supplied by the contractor for preservation of floats and roller launching. Cost of same in sincl in the above job. 9. Removal of all waste material, debris etc and cleaning of work site before closing the work. 10. After repair re-stacking the stores on proper dunnage as directged by SK/AGE/GE. 11. All mateiral and cleaning material will be supplied by the contractor for maint. 12. All old material will be property of the department.
