BOQ (REPAIR TO CRACK FILLING, JOINT FILLING AND EPOXY REPAIR AT RUNWAY AT AF STATION SURATGARH)

Raking out existing sealing compound from expansion, contraction & dummy joints of width exceeding 10mm but not exceeding 20mm in concrete and upto 25mm deep by mechanical means electrically operated, preparing and cleaning of sides, bottom and edges of adjoining slabs with solvent soaked cloth to remove sticked old sealing compound completely, cleaning the surface of the joints with wire brushes and finally removing and cleaning dust etc with compressed air to make it free from all foreign particles, filling with Polyurethane joint sealing compound using mechanical means to a minimum depth exceeding 6mm but not exceeding 8mm (depth minimum above the backup rod) with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) + 30% confirming to the requirement of BS-5212 and EN 141875-2003 of hydrolysis/water resistance including one coat of primer and providing approved quality closed cell polythene back up rod/back up sheet of required size & shape over existing bituminious joint filler board in position applying masking tape on edges to prevent accident all slippage on solvent on top surface and to give a neat finish to sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied as required complete all as per manfacture instructions including removal of loose & foreign materials outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per serial item No 1.00 above but width of joint exceeding 20mm but not exceeding 30mm and to a minimum depth exceeding 8mm but not exceeding 10mm (depth minimum above the backup rod) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per serial item No 1.00 above but width of joint exceeding 30mm but not exceeding 40mm to a minimum depth exceeding 8mm but not exceeding 10mm (depth minimum above the backup rod) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per serial item No 1.00 above but width of joint exceeding 40mm but not exceeding 50 mm to a minimum depth exceeding 8mm but not exceeding 10mm (depth minimum above the backup rod) complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and Labour for repairing to concrete slab surface (depressed portion/cracked portion) by cutting damaged/spilled portion and concrete pavement by mechanical equipment into rectangular cross section, removing useless and worthless all loose and foreign materials etc to a distance exceeding 500m but not exceeding 1000 meter, cleaning the surface thoroughly with brushes and finally with compressed air, including filling and levelling the surface, priming the patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified ready mix ELASTOMERIC concrete not exceeding 50mm depth, including form work where required all as per manufacture's instructions complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling existing Sign Boards of size 02 to 03 Sqm on elevation and fixing 5mm thick Acrylic Sheet including necessary cleats/ brackets/rivets/nuts bolts as required over vinyl sheet and fixing high intensity prismatic retro reflective Sheeting Series 3930 of approved colour/shade fixed on vinyl sheet fully at both face of board covered including letter writting infomation/ logo with same sheeting computerised cut in approved colour /shade.The letters approximately covering upto 50% of the board. Complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Cost of letter writing with retro-Reflective Sheeting is includied in unit rate.

M & L for cleaning concrete surface, removing top layer, swelled & loose particles and making top surface levelled by removing uneven coating, concrete etc by using buffing grinder or other mechanical means. The final surface shall be slightly rough but levelled. Cleanig the surface throughly with clean water and immediatley when water at the surface is dried up, all the surface to be primed with ERM primer, or epoxy resin primer and allowed maxium absorption and adhesion to concrete surface. The content of primer should be prepared by adding hardener to the base and mixed throughly using mixer/grinder/blender for 03 minutes and immediately applied to the surface already prepared using stiff brush/roller and applied uniformly & throughly. Allow the primer to dry and the next application should start immediately after the primed surface is completly dry. The top layer of Epoxy Repair Mortar with thickness of 03.00 mm to 06.00mm shall be applied to achieve levelled and even surface.

The hardener pack shall be mixed to the base container for 30-45 seconds until homogeneous by using mixer/grinder/blender, then the contents of ready mix graded aggregate pack shall be mixed for 3 minuts until completly homogenous by using mixer/grinder/ blender. The prepared mix shall be laid immediately. The application must be applied sufficiently and efficiently without lapes of time and poured on to the prepared and primed surface immedicately. It should be spread to the required thickness so as to achieve levelled and even surface using a trowel carefully evenly and tamped with wooden float and finally finished to closed even texture using steel trowel. Lastly the surface is grooved as directed by Engineer- in- charge to make the surface rough as per standard specificaiton & norms of runway rigid pavement.

M&L preparation of surface and fixing High intensity prismatic UV and weather resistant self adhesive reflective tape cut in alphabets, Numbers, letters and preparation of surface including taking down of existing self adhesive reflective tape in DTGM/cautionary board/sign boards complete all as specified and as directed by Engr in charge. Note :- For the purpose of measurement area covered by letters in rectangle or Square shall be taken.
