EXCAVATION OF EARTH — . For foundations of Buildings, Roads, Driveways, Pedestals etc. or any other place as, in ordinary soils including soft rock/disint rated rock, in both dry and wet conditions.2. Job Includes pumping and bailing out surface and subsoil water, shoring, strutting as equired as per site condition, slush removal, including backfilling etc, in layers at all heights and depths as per drawing and spec ications wherever required and watering, compacting etc all complete as per instructions of HPCL., in foundation pits, under floors d other places with excavated suitable surplus earth, including reclaiming from spoil heaps kept elsewhere including dressing and le lling, watering and mechanical compaction etc. Including removal of vegetation, shrubs and debris, cutting and dressing of sides in opes, levelling, grading and ramming of bottoms, dewatering of accumulated water from any source and keeping the surface dry for sub quent works.3. Transporting surplus soil to unobjectionable place within boundary limits and spreading in layers.NoteThe measurem t for payment shall be for theoretical volume only based on initial and final levels jointly recorded and it shall be the volume of e block of the excavation having maximum bottom dimension of the foundation as per drawing. The contractor shall take into account i his rate, the provision for excess excavation for necessary working space, slope, steps etc. required for excavation, safety and oth allied works and refilling the side slopes and working space etc.Job to be completed as per attached technical specification/codal rovisions/ sound engineering practices and as directed by EIC complete.Scope also includes removal of trees, stumps and roots to fu extent, removal of all vegetation including bushes and grass, dewatering, taking spot levels @ 5 m C/C in grid pattern, levelling, essing and rolling the excavated surface, loading, transportation of surplus earth to an unobjectionable place inside the site premi s, spreading, levelling as per instructions of the engineer in charge. Job also includes backfilling of excavated earth as directed HPCL at no extra cost in excavated place like foundations, pits etc.The job to be executed as per attached technical specification job procedures etc. complete and as directed by EIC."

SPLY & FILG SAND — pply and filling river sand conforming to Zone-II & Zone-III as per IS:383 under Footings, Plinth beams, Foundations, pedestals, cul rts, Tunnels, Retaining wall bases, pits, trenches, etc or as directed by EIC, arranged from River or stream bed outside premises in uding all excavation, transportation, labour, royalty etc. at the river bed/sand quarry, filling in HPCL premises in loose layers no exceeding 200 mm and compacting with Vibratory Roller and Plate vibrator(for those portions where vibratory roller cannot be used) s as to achieve 85% of relative density (by sand replacement method) or 93-98% compaction by Proctor Density Method including dressing p the surface, removal of organic materials and watering & job shall be carried out as per attached technical specifications and as r directions of EIC all complete. The quoted rate shall include conducting initial laboratory tests on samples and consequent in-sit relative density test as per IS:2720 Part- XIV/OMC tests@ 75 sqm of area in each layer of filling (moisture content of sand shall be ept below 8%). The Measurement for payment shall be for the theoretical volume only based on initial and final levels jointly record Job to be completed as per attached technical specification/codal provisions/ sound engineering practices and as directed by HPCL E complete.

FILNG AVAILAB EARTH — ckfilling to be done with serviceable & reusable soils available from excavation/cutting & filling and stacked earlier within the bo dary including re-excavation, shifting to the site of backfilling, backfilling in layers not exceeding 200 mm loose thickness; water g, compacting to achieve 95% MDD as per lab test; testing; all complete as per instruction of HPCL. scope of the job may also involv demolishing of structures of RCC/PCC/ pipes etc found at site including proper levelling and compaction of the area as per instruct ns of EIC.

SPLY&LAYG RUBBLE SOL — oviding and laying 230 mm thick or specified thickness dry trap rubble stone soling including hand packing, filling the interstices th chips, spalls and binding with grit and selected murrum/machine sand, watering, coMPAction by hand ramming and rolling with 1 met hand roller/plate coMPActor etc. and job to be completed as per attached “standard specifications for soling”.

The Cement content shall be governed by design mix.
