Viaduct Maintenance Work of Line 2A and Line 7 for Four Years

Structural Repairs - Providing and applying epoxy mortar for repairs to crack portion of RCC columns, Piers, Beams, Girders, Diaphraghms, slabs, parapets, pedestals, etc. Including chipping, the loose cracked concrete, cleaning the surface and removing the rush thoroughly and completed by means of wire brushes, sand blasting and washing with water etc. rebuilding the section by first applying one coat of epoxy primer coat of araldite/ GY 257 and hardner HY840 in proportion of 100:50 by weight. applying epoxy mortar prepared by mixing araldite hardner and quartzite sand in 100:50:900 proportion By weight in required shape and architectural finishes. If any finishing the surface smooth including applying a seal coat of araldite and hardener in 100:50 proportion by weight with stiff nylon on site brush etc.complete as specified as directed. Man Lifter for execution of the above item will be provided by MMMOCL.

Structural Repairs - Dismantling existing RCC pedestals etc. with maximum care without damaging the existing reinforcement including cleaning the reinforcement and disposing off the dismantling material safely without causing any disturbance to the traffic and public general etc. complete as specified as directed. Man Lifter for execution of the above item will be provided by MMMOCL.

Elastomeric Bearing Replacement or realignment - Replacing/Refixing defective elastomeric bearings including arrangement for lifting and lowering the span by providing and operating suitable hydraulic jacks of minimum capacity 300MT with check nut, tilting saddle and hydraulic power pack (as approved by MMMOCL), cleaning of pier caps, dismantling and disposing of existing grout below/above the bearing with all leads and lifts, hacking /roughening of pedestal top, chipping of concrete as per the methodology approved by MMMOCL. The bearings shall be placed over M.S stool/ plate, to be placed/ positioned on the pedestal and a straight/tapered plate shall be placed between the soffit of girder and bearing as per site condition (cost of tapered plate shall be paid separately). Fixing the straight/tapered plate to the soffit of girder by Conbextra EP-75 or equivalent and applying epoxy mortar (Nitomotar 30 or equivalent) of approved brand. The rates include all other items i/c tools, water, electricity, generator, compressor, safety net all around, tools & plants, Labour and material, lead, lift, taxes etc. complete. (If new bearing is required, payment made separately). The entire work shall be executed within the framework of overall bearing and repair methodology or any modification as directed by engineer in charge. The sky lift shall be provided at site till the completion of bearing replacement work and no fixed hours are specified. The safety and security of all equipments / machinery/ material will lie with agency. (NOTE: THE PAYMENT UNDER THIS ITEM SHALL COVER LIFTING OF ONE END OF VIADUCT SPAN (BOTH U-GIRDER) FOR REREPLACING ONE OR MORE BEARINGS / PEDESTALS REPAIRING).

Elastomeric Bearing Replacement or realignment - Providing plane & machine tapered (with roughened top surface) M.S plate of specified thickness as per site requirement/gradient of soffit of girder. The plate shall be coated with anti-corrosive epoxy primer & paint of approved brand before placing it above/below bearing. All the dimensions of the tapered plate will be decided through pre-inspection of locations.

Elastomeric Bearing Replacement or realignment -Providing & placing in position Micro concrete for reinforced pedestal works which shall be cement based pre packed. Single component, Chloried free, Non shrink, Free flow, Self compacting. Ready to use after mixing water in specified proportion obtained from approved manufacturer as per manufacturer's specification and direction of engineer-in-charge [payment under this item shall be made only after proper sounding/ tapping with a blunt metal instruments].Man Lifter for execution of the above item will be provided by MMMOCL.

Elastomeric Bearing Replacement or realignment - Supply and providing of 3 compound mixture of epoxy resin grout like EP75 Epoxy grout or similar of at contract surface at bearing bottom and pedestal top as per approved drawing, to fill gap between contract surface of in between pedestal and bearing. Work will be executed as per drawings and specification and instruction of Engineer in Charge. Rate includes all Labour and material, tools & plants, lead, lift etc. complete. Man Lifter for execution of the above item will be provided by MMMOCL.

Elastomeric Bearing Replacement or realignment - Supply and injection of Sikadur UF 53 grout or similar of at contact surfaces as MS plate top over bearing and soffit of girder as per MMMOCL, to fill the gap between contact surface of girder and MS plate over bearing. Rate including all Labour, material, lead, lift, placing at proper location on prepared pedestal etc. complete. Man Lifter for execution of the above item will be provided by MMMOCL

Elastomeric Bearing Replacement or realignment - Fabrication, erection (including removing/dismantling after completion of work) of scaffolding for stagging work around the pier to facilitate lifting of materials, Jacks, storing material, lifting small tools & machinery. movement of workers, cleaning and repairing of bearing etc at pier head location. Rate includes all labour, material, tools and plants, lead, lift, etc complete to execute the work of surveying and repairing of seating of bearing/ replacement of bearing.

Elastomeric Bearing Replacement or realignment - Providing diesel operated sky lift/man lifter of approved make and having minimum 4 persons lifting capacity to stand in bucket for bearing inspection which has to be done before bearing replacement work to be undertaken. (The cost of diesel, oil, consumables, operators, helpers etc. complete in all respect with minimum working height up to 25m to reach the top of parapet of viaduct are inclusive). The sky lift shall be provided with an engineer of agency to assist MMMOCL engineer for inspection and measurement work done before bearing replacement and After bearing replacement. All safety equipment’s such as road blocks, caution tapes, lights etc. are inclusive in the rates and are to be provided on priority basis. Any helper/ labor required will also be provided by agency within this item.
