Mobilisation of Mechanical drilling equipment / rig and shifting of entire arrange ment from one bore to another bore hole location and setting of boring/drilling rig as required/directed by Engineer-in-charge (LS)

Drilling boreholes 150mm dia by shell or auger with MS casing up to a depth permissible beyond which diesel operated clay dill bentonite slurry to be used. Carrying out standard penetratin test in the bore hole to deterine 'N' value. The SPT value is required to be taken at every 0.75 m interval or every change of strata. Disturbed and undisturbed soil samples to be collected. Laboratory investigations to be carried out on the samples as per IS-2131. ( Qty 05 Bores)

Depth of bore Min 6 Mtr or depth of bore at which 'N' value greater than 50 which ever is earlier (at five different places as per direction by Engineer-in-Charge). Note: Depth of bore holes may be taken 10m or N value reaches 50, whichever is earlier in any type of soil/soft disintegrated rock/hard rock for isolated /combined / raft foundation. To ensure that boulders or layers of cementeous soil is not mistaken for bed rock, core drilling to be done to a depth of atleast 1.0m in bed rock in areas where boulders are found & collection/ preparation of rock samples and determination of bulk density, water absorption and compressive strength is done. However the maximum depth of bore hole is 10m in any case.

Boring with Auger upto the depth of 5 M or upto refusal stratawere N- Value is 50/100. Conducting penetration test at the change of the layers & at specified intervals of 1.5 m. The relative density of cohesion less layers & consistency of cohesion layers as obtained from N- value will be furnished in the bore logs. The undisturbed soil samples will be collected at every 1.5 m. Collecting both disturbed and undisturbed soil samples at change of layers and specific intervals. (Qty 01 Bore)

Collection of undisturbed soil sample at 1.5m intervals or at any change in strata in 150mm bore thin walled tube including waxing, sealing, packing and transporting to the lab.

Conducting necessary tests as per relevant IS codes :-1892/NBC 2005/SP36 on all collected samples which include the determination of:- (Each bore hole ) (a) Grane size distr and analysis (b) Soil Characteristics (c) Value of cohesion and Angle of internal fiction (d) Reccommended SBC at different depth of foundation that is at 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm & 1800mm and/or more suitable strata depth for resting foundation (e) SBC and its calculation based on 'N' value shear strength and settlement criteria. (f) Depth of water table (max and mini during the yr). (g) Depth of expansive soil and its properties, if any. (h) Recommendation for type of foundation. (j) Chemical analysis of soil. (k) Details of soil profile and bore logs. (l) Any other recommendations.

Surveying of the area / site (04 Acre) includes details viz:Location of all topo features, Boundary line & angle, boundary diagonal spot levels, road levels, road width and details above ground level. Survey being done by Sokkia Total station. Contour survey spot levels at 10m interval & contour interval at 0.5m incl four colour prints of the drawing covering the survey details incl marking of services and two computerized CD containing the survey drawing details (01 No (LS))

Submission of report in four sets giving site plan showing the test points, sub soil profile, results of field investigations, laboratory test results, calculation of SBC, Comprehensive type of foundation (LS-01).

Surface dressing area approx 04 acres n exc 15 cm deep in any type of soil including cleaning of bushes including vegitation and small plants digging out roots, cutting of trees/ branches by mean meachnical, filling holes and levelling of ground, including removal of unserviceable material to outside MD land and making good the surface for carry out soil investigation and survey etc.
