Roof Waterproofing

Dismantling tile work in floors and roofs laid in cement mortar including stacking material within the campus as directed by Engineer in Charge. For thickness of tiles above 25 mm and up to 40 mm

Providing and laying water proofing treatment on roofs of slabs by applying cement slurry mixed with water proofing cement compound consisting of applying:

(a) after surface preparation, first layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 kg/ sqm mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.253 kg/sqm. (b) laying second layer of Fibre glass cloth when the first layer is still green. Overlaps of joints of fibre cloth should not be less than 10 cm. (c) third layer of 1.5 mm thickness consisting of slurry of cement @ 1.289 kg/sqm mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.670 kg/sqm and coarse sand @ 1.289 kg/sqm. This will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours followed by water curing for 48 hours. The entire treatment will be taken upto 30 cm on parapet wall and tucked into groove in parapet all around. (d) fourth and final layer of brick tiling with cement mortar (which will be paid for separately. For the purpose of measurement the entire treated surface will be measured.

Grading roof for water proofing treatment with -

(a) Cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)

Damproofing

Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead.

Step-2 Providing and applying Koster Polysil TG 500 / Dr. Fixit or equivalent primer on the prepared surface as per manufacturers specifications, including cost of materials, labour, consumables, tools and tackles, etc., complete.

Step-3 Providing and applying Talrak Flexeal Elastic/ Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP or equivalent waterproofing coating on the primed surface in two coats, as per manufacturers specifications, including cost of materials, labour, consumables, tools and tackles, etc., complete.

12 mm cement plaster of mix :1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand)

Expansion Joint

Expansion joint treatment with Siikadur Combiflex System

Step 1: Surface Preparation- Preparing the surface by removing all loose concrete from the both the edges of the gap by grinding and chipping. Cleaning the surface with wire brush thoroughly to make the surface completely free from all frost, dirt, dust, oil grease or any other loose adheres with suitable tools and tackles to expose the surface Step 2:Application of Sikadur-31C or equivalent: After above work apply Sikadur 31 C (with proper mixing of component A and component B as per guideline of manufacturer) or equivalent with suitable tools as a adhesive on the both side edge of expansion joint Step 3: Apply of Sikadur Combiflex: Apply Sikadur Combiflex of 300 mm wide, 2mm thickness on the pre-Applied Sikadur 31 C or Equivalent applied surface by pressing with hand / roller to fix the tape properly and apply again Sikadur-31C or Equivalent on the Top edge of the Sikadur Combiflex as applied previously

Providing and fixing sheet covering over expansion joints with stainless steel screws as per design to match colour/shade of wall treatment - Aluminium fluted strips 200mm wide 2.00 mm thick.

Removing white or colour wash by scrapping and sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete

Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.

Distempering with 1st quality acrylic distemper (ready mixed) having VOC content less than 50 gram/litre, of approved manufacturer and of required shade and colour all complete to achieve even shade and colour : New work (two or more coats) over and including water thinnable priming coat with cement primer having VOC content less than 50 gram/litre

Applying priming coat: With ready mixed red oxide zinc chromate primer of approved brand and manufacture on steel galvanised iron/ steel works

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade Two or more coats on new work over an under coat of suitable shade with ordinary paint of approved brand and manufacture

Finishing walls with Acrylic Smooth exterior paint of required shade

New work (Two or more coat applied @ 1.67 ltr/10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/10 sqm)

Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion, (i) Single socketed pipes

110 mm diameter

Providing and laying vitrified floor tiles in different sizes (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer) with water absorption less than 0.08% and conforming to IS: 15622, of approved make, in all colours and shades, laid on 20 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand), jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg/ sqm including grouting the joints with white cement and matching pigments etc., complete.

Size of Tile 600x600 mm

Finishing with Epoxy paint (two or more coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer’s specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, etc. complete.

On steel work

Varnishing with flatting varnish of approved brand and manufacture one or more coats on old work.

Cutting the existing crack in a V Shape groove cleaning the the same with proper means of application of one coat of Epoxy Bonding agent followed by application of Sikha214 Non shrinkage powder over the entire crack area and let dry. Finally plaster the surface whenever required.
