Earth work in cutting or in embankment in ordinary soil, excavation to be in the form of regular pits not exceeding 1/2 meter (20") in depth and earth work in embankment to be in 20 cm. (8") layers, including ramming and dressing the surface to required levels and slopes and also including 1.50 meter (5ft.) lifts and 30.00 m. (100 ft.) lead. The earth from cutting to be used in making embankment or to be deposided as spoil banks within 30.00 meters (100 ft.) distance as directed by the Engineer in Charge. S.I.No-253 As in item No. 253 above but cutting or embankment in black cotton soil in Bundelkhand areas requiring use of spcial T&P such as pick axes and subbals etc. S.I.No-253(b)

The Earth from cutting to be used in making embankment or to deposited as spoil bank with in 30m distance also including royality as per Govt. circular & supply of all labour T & P roller and tanker etc. required for proper completion of work. By Mix in Place Method (Blanket coat) Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per Technical Specification Clause 401.(iii) or Grading III Material (Blanket coat)
Granular Sub-Base with Coarse Graded Material (Table:- 400- 2) Construction of granular sub-base by providing coarse graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401.
Wet mix Macadam Providing, Laying, Spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the material with water at O.M.C. in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed material by tipper to site laying in uniform layer with paver in sub-base/base coarse on well prepared surfaceand compacting with vibratory roller to achive the desired density. (As per Clause 406)
Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 kg/sqm using mechanical means.
Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen VG-10 using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.325 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.
Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam Providing and laying dense graded bituminous macadam with 100-120 TPH batch type HMP producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder @ 4.0 to 4.5 per cent by weight of total mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MoRTH specification clause No. 507 complete in all respects.
