Rectification of Rotor Earth Fault of Unit No 1, Ganvi Power House Stage-I by providing technical assistance and skilled manpower, including complete inspection, servicing, cleaning, insulation improvement, testing, and successful commissioning of the unit. The scope of work shall include: thorough cleaning of rotor body and rotor poles; cleaning and servicing of slip ring assembly and associated insulation; safe disconnection of pole-to-pole joints, cleaning of contact surfaces and connectors; controlled heating/drying of rotor poles and windings to improve insulation resistance (IR); reconnection of pole joints with proper tightening and electrical integrity; disconnection, cleaning and refixing of rotor leads; insulation of rotor lead joints using glass fibre tape and approved insulating varnish; application and curing of insulating varnish on serviced parts; measurement and recording of IR and PI values before and after rectification; elimination of rotor earth fault; technical assistance during barring, trial run, synchronisation and normal operation; and successful running of the machine to the complete satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. The item shall include deployment of experienced and skilled manpower, tools, tackles, testing instruments, heating arrangements, safety gear and all incidental works complete in all respects.
