M&L Cutting the existing edges/joints of PCC slabs/rigid pavements by either diamond cutting machine or by chiseling, removing loosened material to a distance exc 200m and not exc 250m and depositing in depressions including levelling, cleaning of concrete surface with compressed air free from all dust, dirt, grease, bitumen, loose materials etc. Superficial area not exceeding 0.2 Sqm and depth exceeding 40mm and not exceeding 80mm and filing with epoxy resin morter comprising one part of epoxy resin and five parts of quartz sand mix No 10 by weight after appling epoxy resin primer (Tack coat) @ 0.32 Kg/Sqm including removal and cleaning of old sealing compound including bitumen filler pad 8 to12mm thick to adjust joint and refilling of sealing compound grade 'B' not exceeding 30mm depth from all as specified to match evenly the adjoining surefaces of existing PCC slab complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Cutting, Racking out sealent of expansion joint 18 mm to 22 mm wide and 30 to 33 mm depth including scraping the spilled compound from edges of existing joints,cleaning the side and bottom of joints by compressed air including priming and filling the joints with the sealing compound grade 'B' up to 2mm below the top of slab and all as specified and including removing the scraped materials to a distance exceeding 250m and not exceeding 500m complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Cutting, Racking out sealent of construction/ dummy joint 15 mm to 25 mm wide and 20 to 25 mm depth including scraping the spilled compound from edges of existing joints,cleaning the side and bottom of joints by compressed air including priming and filling the joints with the sealing compound grade 'B' up to 2mm below the top of slab and all as specified and including removing the scraped materials to a distance exceeding 250m and not exceeding 500m complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Cutting, Racking out sealent of construction/ dummy joint 8 mm to 15 mm wide and 20 to 25 mm depth including scraping the spilled compound from edges of existing joints,cleaning the side and bottom of joints by compressed air including priming and filling the joints with the sealing compound grade 'B' up to 2mm below the top of slab and all as specified and including removing the scraped materials to a distance exceeding 250m and not exceeding 500m complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Preparation of existing surfaces and painting of lines, dashes, arrows and letters etc on old painted concrete surfaces of Runway/ Airfield pavements exceeding 10 cm width with one coat of oil based road marking paint , marking edges in straight line by road marking machinery complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Brooming & clening of the old decorated pavement surfaces of any description including preparation and applying one coat of white wash (snow white colour) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Grass cutting (manually / by machinery where ever required as directed by Engineer - In- Charge) / surface dressing n.exc 15 cm deep in hard and dense soil along both sides of runway shouldier and as per reqired area of runway and disposing the cut vegetation exc 200 m but not exc 250 m distance away from the site, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. .

M&L Preparation of existing surfaces and painting of lines, dashes, arrows and letters etc on old painted concrete surfaces of Runway/ Airfield pavements not exceeding 10 cm width with one coat of acqua/water based white or golden yellow paint, for marking edges of paint straight in line by road marking machinery complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Cutting,racking out existing ceiling compound from joints of rigit pavements included racking split out ceiling compound from edge at existing joints and removing the cacked out ceiling compound and other foreign material and forming joints 15mm average width and 20mm average depth by diamond cutter and removing the debris and other foreing material to a distance exceeding 50m and not excedding 150m depositing where directed by Engineer-in-Charge and cleaning the site and bottom of joints by compressed Air (Diesel Driven Compressor of suitable capacity). Preparing joints to receive polyurethane joint filling and primed with Rally prime - 190, sealed with Rallithane - 862, Polyurethane sealent with backup rode of suitable size manufactured by Chemetail - Rai India Ltd/Fosroc Chemicals India Pvt Ltd all as per manufacturer insutructions and directed by Enigneer-in-charge.

NOTES FOR SERIAL ITEM NOs 10 & 11 (i) Making good edges shall be done with diamond cutters. (ii) Dia of backup rode shall be 20-25% more than the width of joints to ensure tight fit. (iii) Entire polyurithane joints filling shall be done with mechanical systems. (iv) At places if the mechanical appliances become impractical GE's permission in writing shall be obtained for carrying out the joints filling manualy . (v) The work shall be got executed through the authorised applicator of the manucturer (vi) Theunit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for any excess width of the joints formed during diamond cutting made good by the contractor.

Preparing of old/ previously treated black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing loose durt/dust, loose particles etc and sweeping the surfaces with mechanical blower to remove all loose particles etc and applying evenley a coat of cold bituminous emulsion fast setting grade at 3.60Kg/10 Sqm(increasing to 7.2 Kgs by adding water) by brushing uniformly bending surface complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Emulsified bitumen shall be diluted with drinking water in proportion 1:1 dilution shall be 100%. Water should be added to emulsion and emulsion should never be added to the water.
