Development and maintenance of lawn, hedges, flowers and beds at South side of IGCAR, Kalpakkam during the year 2025-2026.

Amount

Clearing Heavy jungle area including cutting all unwanted plants, branches, twigs, wild growth, trees and saplings of girth upto 30cm, uprooting of rank vegetation etc. complete, and disposing the same as place specified by Engineer, transporting at contractors own cost complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The useful firewood if any, shall be cut and stacked at the place (with 100metres lead) as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The rate shall include the cost of cutting and disposal. Note: The unwanted plants, branches, twigs, wild growth, trees and saplings are to be periodically collected and transported to dumping yard or place as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. During execution period any damages shall be rectified to the original at contractor cost. The measurement for payment shall be taken prior to cut the jungle and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The rate shall include the cost of labour, transportation, loading, and unloading at dumpyard or place as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Collection, supplying and stacking good quality Red earth without stones, gravel etc., and stacking for premeasurement at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Collection, supplying and stacking of Decomposed dry farmyard manure without undesirable materials, stacking the same to at places as shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees etc., in garden area (Non- sprinklers area) by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming hedges, and the unwanted growth of grasses as and when required including running lawn mover, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards shown by the department, watering the trees inside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1. The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard. 2. The rate shall also include cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening etc. 3. The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m. area maintained per month. 4. Contractor has to make his own arrangement for Lawn Movers. If departmental lawn movers is available it will be provided by department on chargeable basis. 5. If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate as mentioned in specification will be levied as penalty from RA Bill. 6. The contractor shall engage minimum 1 person for 1500 sq. m /day throughout the month as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Failure to employ the above minimum numbers of labour will attract penal clause as per additional special condition of contract attached with the tender for every default of labour. 7. Cutting plants should be handed over to nursery for sampling by the contractor as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 8. The contractor shall supply the PPE to the garden labour and they should wear the PPE during their working hours.

Planting the plants / saplings in required site taken from nursery, including formation of pits, spreading & filling of red earth and farm yard manure to an average thickness of 50mm, conveyance from nursery, planting and initial watering all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The rate shall excluding the cost of red earth and farm yard manure used for planting operation which will be paid under relevant item.

Supplying and planting of following plants/saplings of good quality & healthy appearance with blooming nature etc., including excavation, transportation, planting, refilling with suitable excavated soil mixed with red earth, manure or sludge as directed (cost of red earth, manure or sludge to be paid separately under relevant item) and initial watering all as per standard practice complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The plants having 30cm to 60cm height (unless otherwise mentioned below), well developed, fresh and healthy nature.

All kinds of soil with depth upto 1.5m below average Ground level and disposing surplus excavated earth upto a lead of 50 metres.

Providing and laying the following sizes PVC water supply line with Finolex / Varun / Truebore or approved equivalent make PVC pipes suitable for 6 kg/sq.cm pressure and specials conforming & marked to IS:4985 including jointing with PVC jointing compound, laying and fixing the pipes in the excavated trenches, cost of all types of specials such as tees, reducers, coupler, reducing bushes, threaded adaptor, elbow, tail pieces, caps etc., and testing the line as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Operation of Garden water supply pumps located in different areas of IGCAR including operating regulation valves and different sector of garden network, monitoring water level in the wells to avoid dry run of motor and cleaning the pumps, pump room, etc., complete all and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The Contractor has to engage minimum of 1 operator in general shift timing 9.00 to 17.30 hours every day throughout the year excluding Sundays and holidays. Rectifying the PVC pipe line burst of the following dia of water line by removing the damaged portion of PVC pipes, replacing with new pipes and restoring the water supply including cutting the damaged pipes, cleaning / scrubbing the surface, fixing the new pipe with necessary solvent cement of approved make etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Lead charges for lead Exceeding 4 kilometre but not exceeding 5 kilometre

Sweeping and Cleaning the concrete surfaces daily around the lab area and pathway area in IGCAR complex including collecting and stacking swept material for disposal upto 4km and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1. Every time cleaning area shall be measured for payment 2. The contractor shall engage minimum 1 number of workers daily as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Failure to deploy the minimum number of labour will attract recovery with the minimum wages for every default of labour as mentioned in specification. 3. The rate should also include sweeping tools etc. 4. The contractor shall supply the necessary PPE to the workers. 5. The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of sweeping materials to the dumping yard.

Supplying and spreading of river pebbles (All colours) of various sizes ranges from 20mm to 30mm including loading, unloading, carriage etc., all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Levelling, bull-dozing the heeped / dumped loosened earth / debris etc., by hiring JCB / Bull-dozer etc., including transporting, operating the vehicle, operating the vehicle by engaging driver/operator with valid driving license, diesel charges, insurance and admissible taxes, labour if any required etc. complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Cutting and Felling all types of trees including cutting of trunks, branches and removing the roots and stacking of serviceable wood materials at places specified with a lead of 200m, disposal of unserviceable materials including filling the pits and depressions with excavated earth complete for trees of girth mentioned below complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Girth beyond 60cm, upto and including 120cm, measured at 0.5m above ground level

Trimming road side tree branches gives hindrance to road side and along the compound wall, including cutting, collecting and disposing the trimmed branches / fallen tree branches at places shown by departmental Engineer (In IGCAR Plant site fallen trees shall be disposed to the disposal yard through the CTS gate) with all lead complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for the following sizes of tree branches.

Renovation of lawn area, wherever damaged etc., to ensure better continuity of the landscape feature, including digging and levelling the surface of the earth upto 150mm including area cleaning, collection, supply and planting of below mentioned grass of good quality including conveyance, cost of below mentioned grass etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
