COMPREHENSIVE MAINT OF EARTHING INCLUDING QUATERLY/HALF YEARLY YEARLY CHECKS OF EARTHING ALONGWITH REPAIR REPLACEMENT OF EARTHING SYSTEM AND CONNECTED ACCESSORIES WORKS AT VARIOUS BLDGS, HANGARS LABS AT ZONE I AT RCI UNDER GE I RND RCI HYDERABAD

Checking/testing of Earth resistance value of earthing pits Installed inside RCI TECHNICAL AREA as requirement basis as directed by Engr in Charge or as schedule and making the damaged earthing serviceable by pouring salted water into earthing or making continuity by CU strip/GI strips/GI wire and bringing down the resistance value within user SOP specified limits. including maintenance of existing earthing by cleaning the earth chamber funnel and cleaning of vegetation surrouding earthing pit up to 2 mtr. Note: (i) The entire station will be divided into two zones as per earthing location and the contrcator will deploy seperate team for each zone to test the resistance value of earthings in each zone to complete the process within one month. The entire process will be repeated after every 03 months, 06 months, 12 months as per the SOP of RCI(DRDO) (FORMAT AS PER CATEGORY WISE IS ENCLOSED IN PS) upto completion of the contract.

(ii) earthing resistance value measurement taken before or after rectification for one earthing is measured as one job. (iii) Digital Earth tester will be arrenge by the contractor his own. (iv) Earth Resisitance value measurement , Date of testing and due date of testing is to be written on a format (proper register to be made of format enclosed in PS Sl No. 19) enclosed in PS with sign of user rep , JE in charge & Engr-in Charge.. (iv) Testing and corrective action is to be done within one month from date of commencement .The contractor has to deploy electrician with helper and testing equipment and all the resources to complete the task within one month. (v) If any material required for improvement of resistence value which value is more than their permissible limit will be measured and paid seperately.

Taking out old and Refixing the same aluminium strip/copper strip/GI strip 25mmx3.15mm to 32 x6mm. fixed on roof, pillars, walls etc. with rexing/replacement of DMC/epoxy earth strip insulator/porcelain isolator having not less than 50mm height with screws and placed at an internal not less than 50cm in such a manner that strip should not touch the wall/roof/pillar surfaces etc. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground above roof/wall/pole complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) New epoxy insulator shall be measured and paid saperatly

Supply & fix in repairs epoxy earth strip insulator weather proof heat proof including base screw complete as per site requirment

Supply and fix in repair of aluminium strip 25mm x 3.15 mm complete with new porceline insulator by means of screws of suitable size for isolation of strip complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair of copper strip 20mm x 3.15 mm complete with new porceline insulator by means of screws of suitable size for isolation of strip complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair of single pointed aluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300 mm long fixed on the roof including all fittings, fixtures and PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 blocks 100mm x 100mm x 100mm complete all as specified and directed.

S&F with replacement of GI strip 32 x 6 mm buried in ground after testing point complete.

S&F with replacement of copper strip 32 x 6 mm buried in ground after testing point complete.

S & F test point termininal made gun metel phosporos bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos. 8mm dia long hex. Head screw and polycarbonate junction box corrosion free 130mmx130mmx100mm proof weather proof and 2 Nos busbar insulator , nut,bolt and washer of size not less than complete .
