SPECIAL REPAIRS TO CERTAIN ROADS INSIDE OTA CHENNAI AND AT USMAN LINE UNDER GE STM CHENNAI

M&L for repairs to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 Sqm each including sweeping, free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. by cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in with screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) etc.complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer- in- charge

M&L for repair to pot holes any depth not exceeding 30mm ,area not exceedig 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust, mud or water scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc cutting around edges to atleast 25 mm in depth making good by applying tack coat of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting and filling pot holes with premixed bitumen mix as specified for SDAC ,well rammed and rolled with power roller complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with Air Compressor to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for applying paving bitumen of grade VG-30 evenly as a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer at the rate of 10 Kg / 10 Sqm on unsurfaced WBM surface by using bitumen sprayer machine complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc.complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for applying evenly as a tack coat with bitumen primer of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 at the rate of 5 kg per 10 sqm over bituminous surface by using bitumen sprayer machine complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) ,40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content (by using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 ) in weight of total mix and filler of cement, content as per design mix (not less than 2%) spread by using mechanical paver, rolled and consolidated to required camber and gradient complete to a uniform surface by using Tandom Vibrator power roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity complete all as specified and directed. Note : (a) Cement shall be used as filler at mininum 2% by weight of total mix in event of variation in design mix the percentage of filler content shall be on plus side adopted. (b) SDAC shall be as per MORTH specification (c) Laying shall be done by means of self-propelled mechanical paver, finishing with lectronic sensor and hydraulic controls with suitable speed and capable of laying, spreading, tamping and finishing. (d) Mix shall be obtained from computerized hot mix plant and spreading shall be done by using mechanical paver only (e) The mix shall be designed by job mix formula and approved by GE before incorporation. (f) Cost of mix design, testing charges, materials as required and transportation etc for job mix formula and Independent testing during execution of work shall be inclusive in the unit rate quoted and no extra payment shall be admissible on this account. (g) Contractor quoted rate shall be for 5.5% binder content only .If the binder content shall be less than 5.5% by weight of total mix, price adjustment shall be made for less bitumen at the rate of Rs 50/kg .However no price adjustment if the binder content shall be more than 5.5% and no other claim whatsoever on this account shall be allowed and admissible.

M&L for premix Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM), as in profile layer, with grading 2 of IRC laid in layers of 75mm or less (consolidated) thickness using 4.0% binder content (paving bitumen of grade VG-30 ) by weight of total mix ,obtained from computrised hot mix plant, spread, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient by using mechanical sensor paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface using Tandem vibratory roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity complete all as specified and as directed. Note : (a) Premixed Dense Bituminous Macadam shall be as per MORTH specification (b) Laying shall be done by means of self-propelled mechanical paver, finishing with electronic sensor and hydraulic controls with suitable speed and capable of laying, spreading, tamping and finishing. (c) Mix shall be obtained from computerized hot mix plant and spreading shall be done by using mechanical paver only. (d) The mix shall be designed by job mix formula and approved by GE. (e) Cost of mix design, testing charges, materials as required and transportation etc for job mix formula and Independent testing during execution of work shall be inclusive in the unit rate quoted and no extra payment shall be admissible on this account. (f) Contractor quoted rate shall be for 4.0% binder content only .If the binder content shall be less than 4.0 % by weight of total mix, price adjustment shall be made for less bitumen at the rate of Rs 50/kg .However no price adjustment if the binder content shall be more than 4.0 % and no other claim whatsoever on this account shall be allowed and admissible.

M&L for cold milling of exisitng bituminous surface of any description of thickness not exceeding 40mm by using milling machine (including machine/ vehicle/ other equipments as required for milling) cleaning the milled surface and removing completely the milled materials to a designated dumping yard to distance not exceeding 500 meter complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for providing precast cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in road kerb stones, set and jointed in cement mortar 1:4 complete including necessary moulds,formwork and taking down old PCC kerb stone of any description including removal and dispose off kerb stone complete all as specified and directed.
